  1. The American Athletic Conference (15) finished with more players drafted than the Big XII (14)
  2. Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory has failed another NFL drug test -- his 7th that we know about -- and his friends are deeply concerned for his well-being. TMZ Sports spoke with multiple people with direct knowledge of the situation who confirmed Randy was tested on Feb. 21 and was informed on March 2 that his specimen came up positive for weed. We're told Gregory has since blown off the NFL officials who tried to discuss the situation with him and people connected to Gregory tell us it appears his NFL career might be over. Sources close to Gregory tell us he's drifted from football. We reached out to Gregory's listed agent, Deryk Gilmore, who says he no longer represents Randy. Attempts to reach Gregory himself were unsuccessful.
  3. You're thinking of Jalen mayfield I think whoops. youre correct. read it too fast
  4. so if things work out we could have a Nana on the basketball team and a NaNa on the football team. Wow.
  5. the only thing i will say about the run game is that you are also going to see a lot of bubble screens and tunnel screens that while they are technically "passes" are just an extension of the run game. People I think tend to get obsessed with handing the ball to the RB out of the backfield and look at the pure rushing numbers rather than seeing that we will be running a lot of quick passes and screens in addition to the traditional runs in order to achieve the same thing.
  6. Riley said on Sirius XM's "The First Team" this morning that we got 5 commitments at the spring game fwiw

  8. http://www.scout.com/college/football/recruiting/story/1772143-four-star-wr-has-five-on-him-hardest "The schools I'm talking with the most are Arizona, Navy, Nebraska, Tennessee and Wisconsin," Remigio said. "I haven't visited any of those schools yet so hopefully if I can, I'm going to try and visit all of them over the summer. I won't be taking any visits this spring, all my trips will be in the summer. "The only camp I know I'm doing is the Cal Skills Camp on June 10th but I haven't solidified the rest of my schedule. If I'm able to visit all of those schools and find the right fit, I'll definitely make my decision at the end of the summer. If not, I'll take my official visits in the fall." As for what he's looking for in a school, comfort level will be big for him. "The biggest thing for me is finding a school that feels like a home away from home," Remigio said. "That includes the way the people are, the players and the coaches. The general overall feeling I have at the school, just being comfortable as a student and football player, will be the biggest thing for me."
  9. Miles apparently is going hard after him fwiw
  10. This may be true, but he has pretty good hands in my opinion. Most tight ends do not have break away speed, in fact I recall Wisconsin having elite tight ends that were a bit slow. His size makes him a matchup nightmare in the redzone. If you do double him it can open up other players too, I think tight end will be his position here or we would not have spent time recruiting him imo. Theres no doubt he starts his time here at TE but I personally am really not that high on him there. Re-watch his highlight film, its not that he doesn't have "break away speed", the kid is really really slow in space: http://247sports.com/Player/Kurt-Rafdal-85660 And we have big(ger) bodies at the position too who fill the role of big TE matchup nightmare in the red zone. Austin Allen is 6'8. Matt Snyder is 6'5. David Englehaupt to me looked like a player who will be a really nice player for us in a few years as he continues to add weight and finds his way onto the field. He gets to the second level on his routes quickly. Haven't even gotten to Cameron Jurgens yet who is a top 100 player in the country and is coming here to play tight end. It was just an observation by me but don't rule it out because we recruited him as a tight end. Freedom started out at TE and is a multiple year starter at DE. Zack Darlington is a WR for us and he came in as a top 15 rated duel threat QB in the country. Things/people change and kids want to get onto the field.
  11. Not that he will wind up doing this but I think Rafdal has the frame to be a hell of a Tackle. He doesn't run that well for a tight end but his size, length, and frame could make him an elite player as a Tackle.
  12. Dabo Swinney took over Clemson at the same time that Bo Pelini took over Nebraska. Clemson just in the past few years has taken that step into the "elite" tier. Give Riley time. All of the positive signs are there when you're talking about program development and Eichorst seems to be providing every resource imaginable for Riley to succeed here. We have a top 10 recruiting class currently, were holding assistant coaches responsible for their actions and dismissing them when they aren't performing to the standard level necessary, and we are spending big boy money on their replacements. On top of that, our social media presence is amongst the top in the country and almost most importantly, Riley has completely changed the culture in the locker room and surrounding Nebraska football. Nebraska football is now "cool" again nationally. That has to mean something (and in my opinion- it means a lot). I really think we have the potential to surprise a lot of people this year. Tanner Lee really looks like a big boy quarterback back there. That throw to JD Speilman in the end zone from 30 yards out was incredible. I'm really optimistic about the future of Nebraska football as it sits right now and have a hard time seeing how anyone could analyze what is going on with the program and come out with negative thoughts.
  13. very down to recruit bigger CB's. 6'0+ if they have the hip flexibility to play CB is a huge bonus when covering WR's
  14. Nikko apparently visited USC today for their Spring Game today
