  1. He is officially worse than his dad Sadly, I somewhat expect (or at least am not totally surprised) when someone his dad's age makes comments that are inappropriate and horrid but there is zero excuse for him. Just shows how deeply his prejudices run. And they start when ones young. Disgusting.
  2. What you say here that is key is "relationships", they take time to build, and we're benefitting from the time put in when this coaching group was on the west coast. I for one appreciate that those relationships have followed them, we're very lucky for that. And I have 100% confidence that they're building the same locally. Just have to be patient.
  3. Um...people that have seasonal allergies can go from coughing to walking pneumonia, especially if you have allergies over a long period of time. I know, because I've had this happen to me multiple times in the past. I guess me and my daughter are the lucky ones.. We both have had them all out lives and have never had that happen. You are very lucky - walking pneumonia or pneumonia are terrible to suffer from.
  4. I'm assuming based on how it was discussed that his not having one is more based on off field circumstances than how he plays.
  5. And, it wouldn't be a news day if Don didn't rage against CNN (which he claims he doesn't watch btw):
  6. Can anyone actually translate this for me?
  7. Funny how you change your tune about the guy YOU hired to write your book after he gets to know you personally and talks about it (warts and all):
  8. Makes sense with the colder weather part. Sounds like good coaches and mentors giving him solid advice and caring about how he goes about making his decision. Like an Avery Roberts, Keyshawn, Gebbia - once he decides he'll be locked in.
  9. Can you believe Don is making a big deal of this? Doesn't he have some CNN to watch and get revved up about? Seriously, if he'd dedicate half the time he spends on twitter (talking like a caveman and acting like a spoiled child) crafting some policy and outlining his goals and how he'd get there perhaps he'd be making some headway.
  10. From a parents perspective I'd think there would be a lot about Nebraska that was attractive. In addition to the program and it's support of academics, post grad etc. You get all of the good of a well respected college program without all the distractions and troubles that a city like LA or Miami might have for an 18 year old kid. And Riley does a great job with recruiting parents. Barry Switzer (I think) used to say that the key in recruiting a kid was winning over mom, and Mike and staff focus on that in addition to the player.
  11. I thought he brother also came for this trip - he's an amazing RB ... anybody hear how he liked it?
  12. Betcha can't guess who isn't supporting Trump after you read these. What a whiney baby:
  13. I guess the video of the interview that was done on national tv when he said this has slipped his mind?
  14. The obsession with the press who aren't saying what he wants to hear continues:
  15. I just commented on a WR thread asking the same thing ... recruits are smart kids and they understand that you make your game plan according to talent and skill on the team as well as the opponents deficiencies and outages that week. When they come for an OV they spend time with their position coach and have a lengthy conversation about what their strengths are and how the coach would use them. Also, if they look into where these coaches have come from and what they've done in their past they'll see flexibility and ability to coach different skill sets and strengths to get the most out of a player and a team. I think it's about almost everything else (academics, support, weight/training room, vice from students, game day atmosphere, relationship with coaches etc) that would weigh heavily for them when it comes time to make a decision.
  16. I'm surprised at all the comments about recruits not seeing their position featured in tonights game plan. They're smart kids (hopefully) that understand you base plays on your current talent as well as the other teams deficiencies and outages. Doesn't indicate that they may or may not have a strong role here in the future. Part of their OV is meeting with their position coach and talking about how their skills fit into the plan for the future here. Everybody needs to chill out.No panic man, but if your the number one WR recruit from a purely football perspective, do you want to go where they say we are going to do this or somewhere that already does it.But they are doing a great job recruiting so I'll have faith. If I was the #1 WR recruit and came to a game where they say they're going to do this, and ..... then I see that the QB is graduating, the current receiving corp. is graduating and I'm meeting the new QBs (in my class and the 6 months before), who I happen to know are passers, and I also do my homework and see what Langsdorf and Riley have done in the past where they were, I leave with, "I could come here, start pretty quick and be HUGE'

  18. You really think them running the ball is based on fan feedback? Hate to break it to you, but No.
  19. You and your conservative news sources.
  20. He's been there - he's spent as much time there as at UNL ...
  21. No, he's not. Please explain. I made a point that Hillary's schedule in recent weeks has not matched Trump's and that she has been taking time off while he is working his butt off traveling all over. BRB provided a link showing her schedule for September, not the past month. I then provided the Infowars link which BRB didn't agree with, so I also provided another link showing the actual data points that Trump has had more than twice the number of events that Hillary had for the first half of August. And then what...crickets. Then I pointed out that BRB claims CNN is an unbiased news source, and provided an exact example of their bias. Crickets again... Stop watching your conservative news outlets.
  22. I think this proves he really is a Mexican. So it's been a self hate and loathing thing all along. We need to start looking for proof that he's a muslim, a woman, a black man and/or a gay now. That might explain everything.
  23. 1. Make a law that people must always walk on the far right of a sidewalk, and can't be any wider than two people shoulder to shoulder as they walk. The people walking like salmon upstream 3-4-5 in a group like some sidewalk gang drive me loco. 2. No check writing in public. Ever. 3. A law stating that you must let people off the elevator before getting on, and that you must allow those in the rows ahead of you in the airplane disembark first.
