  1. Smooth, natural, shifty: I love this guy’s film. Trinity League is always elite but it seems even better than usual in ‘19 and ‘20.
  2. His brother plays for Arizona from the ‘17 class, I believe they’re legacies. With his height, I wonder if OLine is where his potential might be.
  3. Can’t imagine we will take 3 RBs at this point. Would really mess with the class balance and numbers with the Washington news.
  4. Their listed best players is a thing of beauty. RB, 3 OLinemen, 3 LBs, a safety, and a DT.
  5. I see why everyone is saying the Michigan State win was overrated or maybe even a loss in reality, but I voted for it just based on how it felt. Was extremely satisfying and we received a lot of national pub for it. And while the era was a major kick in the nuts, the players (at least the ones that always showed up and played hard) deserved that win. I’d vote the UCLA bowl game 2nd just because it felt like the most complete game of the Riley era.
  6. I think it’s entirely possible that Dixon isn’t meant to be a true 225lb+ OLB anyway. I think he’s going to be a hybrid LB/S for us for his entire career and that’s 100% okay and something that is desperately needed, especially with Domann’s unfortunate setbacks.
  7. Great news! I would think he would have major value in coverage too. Probably a bigger asset against some of the uptempo opponents we face rather than the grinders like Wisconsin and Iowa.
  8. Should be a big recruiting weekend for us I would think. OOC, Pac12 opponent who also plays fast. Add in the environment and I hope we get a ton of recruits here for it.
  9. QBs ranked by Athlon today. Of note: #12 Brian Lewerke (Michigan State) #15 Shea Patterson (Michigan) #25 Alex Hornibrook (Wisconsin) #27 Nate Stanley (Iowa) #28 Dwayne Haskins (Ohio State) #37 Clayton Thorson (Northwestern) #44 David Blough (Purdue) #53 Steven Montez (Colorado) #68 Adrian Martinez (Nebraska) #81 Kato Nelson (Akron) #93 Tanner Morgan (Minnesota) #102 Kaleb Barker (Troy) #116 Cam Thomas (Illinois)
  10. Committing today and all signs point to Texas.
  11. Really good offer list for a DB, I trust all of those schools in their DB evaluations. Looks like another guy who the Arizona schools missed in their offer.
  12. His brother plays for Vanderbilt. Anfernee didn’t get the height that his brother got but is still a really good prospect. I see him as a more athletic Domann, where every defense today needs that versatile coverage OLB/ILB/S.
  13. The crystal ball picks aren’t behind a paywall. Or at least they weren’t, I was able to see them before my subscription. Wiltfong usually adds some insight for why he made the pick, which definitely gets put behind the paywall. https://247sports.com/college/nebraska/Season/2019-Football/TargetPredictions Whoops, you are absolutely correct, there are some picks that are given a VIP lock. I apologize.
  14. The spring game is a big deal to us fans, and a huge recruiting strength for us, but is it really that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things? It’s another practice, which both Burke recruits have been to. I agree that it would have been a positive if they both made it to the scrimmage, but I don’t really view it as a negative that they missed. A number of recruits who will eventually commit to us didn’t make it to the spring game.
  15. Missing or bailing on a visit would definitely be a major strike if the recruit didn’t let the staff know ahead of time. But I’m sure that’s not the case here. It sounds like both recruits told coach Frost that they wouldn’t be able to make it because of prom.
  16. Blades as well. I have no doubt in my mind that he’d be CB1 here this year. There’s no use thinking about what could have beens, but Bookie and Blades are two that I think would instantly transform our defense with at least 3 years of special plays. Oh well, onto better things!
  17. Well I meant 1s and 2s vs 1s and 2s then. No matter how you want to slice it, the red team is supposed to win this and win big. Which I guess is a positive that they are running away with it.
  18. This is fun but I wish the 1s were playing against the 1s. Hard to tell how good either side is because of it.
  19. Here’s a link to the radio broadcast of the game, which started 20 minutes ago (pregame stuff now): http://www.huskers.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?&id=1916531&catid=0&KEY=&DB_OEM_ID=100
  20. Arizona and ASU have had major trouble securing their in-state recruits these last couple years. They’ve missed out on their top recruits, but also missed some under the radar guys who end up playing well for other teams.
  21. Good point, basketball didn’t even come to my mind until you mentioned this. I’d also add that good basketball players learn head, hip, and footwork fakes that a lot of receivers could make use of.
  22. Yeah, Roberts has the biggest golden opportunity of any underclassman on the team in my opinion. He’s in line to play a TON over these next couple of years in a great system that should show off his potential for the next level. Pretty telling if he’s having trouble getting motivated or buying in. Still has some time to figure out how he wants his football career to go. I’m optimistic that our coaches will light the fire that he needs.
