  1. Watching it on TV, and they showed a "little push off"
  2. Why can't they put Alante Brown back at punt returner? Dude seems shifty as hell and he's a WR so one would think he's fairly sure handed
  3. It was nice to see we have someone other than the QB who can lead the team in rushing
  4. Because Ervin know the playbook the best, or Stepp and Seven are in Bo's doghouse or any other excuse used in the past
  5. It really seems like we are just playing a base defense. Almost like Chin didn't think we'd need to mix it up and be as aggressive as we were against Illinois
  6. I think that drive will be an outlier, The defense has been stout all day and Illinois got a 30 bs gift.
  7. Somebody better go by this guys house and check on him!
  8. Thats a poor call though! That's not a penalty. He hit him on the chest
  9. A lot of people were worried NU wouldn't be able to get pressure on the QB. IT doesn't look that way so far!
  10. Big play for our defense, and If Peters is seriously hurt Illinois could be in big trouble
  11. If Manning, and Toure are as good as we think they can be, and if a bell cow type RB emerges then AMart might very well live up to the PreSophmore Heisman hype and NU ends up a top 20 caliber team!
  12. If the product on the field improves so will interest. The sell out streak and large attendance are directly related to the unbelievable run of success Nebraska had in the 70s, 80's 90's and early 00's. If Neb starts to win games against lesser opponents and are competitive against quality opponents this conversation will be moot.
  13. I think you're probably right. Iowa St. probably makes the most sense geographically, plus they're like the 3rd biggest school in the Big 12. They have an enrollment of around 36,000. The question is if it's not ISU then who? West Virginia makes sense from a geographic standpoint, but they are abysmal academically, and have a small population, which means that their viewership doesn't ring the bell either. So is it OkSt? Not as great of a geographic fit as ISU or WVU, but they help with recruiting territory, and they bring a better overall athletic program, as they are competitive in FB, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, and Basketball. But what is their viewership? At the end of the day, both the BIG and Pac12 are going to be competing for who brings the most viewership, because that's where the money is, and that's what is driving the bus now.
  14. I think they would because everyone likes a good underdog story. When you get a G5 team, and they get the upset over a legit P5 team, it would be TV gold and everyone would be tuning in next week to see if the Cinderella story will continue. Imagine if UCF would have gotten into the playoff and beaten Clemson or Georgia (1 and 2 seeds). ESPN would have ran with it and everyone would have loved it.
  15. So this is total hearsay, but I have a friend who is friends with the director of KU alumni. (Again I understand what people are thinking when they hear a story from a friend of a friend) They are pretty confident in Lawrence that KU will land in the Big Ten. Not necessarily right away, but in the next couple years.
  16. It would mean that we will play in California each year! #Calibraska!
  17. I read earlier today that Oregon, USC and UCLA were all talking to the BIG now. Add those 3 and KU and thats a pretty strong addition. Logistical nightmare? yes. Vastly open up the recruiting base, as well as add tons of fans and money? yes I don't love the idea of having to travel that far every year, but at this point, regional ties are more or less a thing of the past
  18. I don't see the BIG adding TCU. I actually have always kinda liked TCU but they either join the PAC or go back to the MWC. I think the BIG will add KU and Iowa St. Right now Iowa St. football is a pretty hot commodity, and we live in a what have you done for me lately world. I'd rather see the BIG try to go after OkSt than Iowa St. The state of Oklahoma typically has a lot of serious talent and it would help with recruiting there, but I just don't see it happening. And of course Baylor is in Texas which is a hotbed of talent What is the possibility of the Big 12 going after schools like Arizona and Arizona St? You would think they are going to do everything they can to go after some decent talent to maintain their status as a Power 5 conference. Hell they could try to go and try to get Colorado back, and pick up schools like Houston, Boise St, or Cinci that are high quality G5 schools to do everything they can to stay relevant
  19. KU basketball is obviously huge, and the football program is obviously trash. They are an interesting school and the BIG needs to weigh the risk/reward of bringing them in. I think they are considered pretty good academically, and with the way HS wrestling is exploding in Ks I don't see them having any problem adding a wrestling program (wrestling programs are actually pretty cheap compared to other sports). Personally I want to see them add them because I live about 1 1/2 hours south east of Lawrence so it'll be easy for me to go there and watch the Huskers play, plus thats the definition of a gimme win right now.
  20. KU makes some sense as far as they are strong in BB and I think pretty decent at VB. Iowa State makes sense logistically, as Iowa is already in the BIG. I wonder what will happen to OkSt. Could they be a possibility?
