** Scott Frost megathread all things SF***
Isle of View replied to brophog's topic in Husker Football
If that happens, I'll just have to take your word for it. -
When Frost comes in, he'll replace the Calibraska connection to all the weak-willed granola eaters and potheads with a new pipeline to the inspired and motivated West Coast talent.

And he's very hands on with the both O and D. I saw one of his mic'd up videos where he was demonstrating how to come up hard and blow up the lead blockers on a screen. I loved it! It's one of my pet peeves every Saturday watching d-backs come up and play patty cake with lead blockers hoping to get around them and make a tackle, only to end up on their butts. -

His best skill is motivation. He has his team so motivated and laser focused you'd think they've been playing together since peewee league. And he's only been there a year and a half. -

Just curious . . . what were you saying back when Riley was hired and people were touting him as the savior who would do so much more with good resources? -

Frost has recruited at a high level at Oregon. So you're saying we shouldn't hire Frost so that the fans can at least still have something to hope for? Frost is a sure thing. He'll win an NC within 5 years. Somewhere. Where would you prefer it to happen? -
Consistently underperformed relative to the quality of his recruiting classes.

Fans didn't start getting that upset with Bo until after the A&M outburst and the release of the tapes. If he hadn't been an ass and kept winning at least 9 per year, he would have never been fired. -

Never played craps before? A crapshoot means we'll be rolling the dice on an unknown commodity. It's possible they have a winning roll, but it's doubtful. And yes, Frost is a sure thing if he comes. -

Huh? Callahan got canned after 2 losing seasons, just like Riley will get canned after his 2nd losing season. Remind me how many losing seasons Bo had? If Frost wins 9 games every year he can stay forever ,assuming he doesn't act like Bo. Bo could've stayed forrever if he kept winning at least 9, except he couldn't help but acting like Bo. If Frost's first two seasons are below .500, he probably won't get a third. But he won't have any losing seasons here. -

Riley has to go. If Frost ain't coming, we'll just have to wander through the wilderness for a few more years with another crapshoot. -
There'$ about 850,000 rea$ons why I don't feel too $orry for him.

I hate to say it because Riley is such a nice guy, but I think he's dumber than a box of rocks. -

If that happens, we have the worst leadership in all of college sports. I just don't see that happening. The only acceptable way for Frost NOT to come home is if he comes out with a heartfelt speech explaining how he's made a commitment to his players and he's going to see it through at UCF at least X more seasons. -
Wow. You must think Riley is an even worse coach than I do if you think a bunch of keyboard jockeys can so easily affect his results. Or were you just joking? If so, good one. You got me!
-
Looks like a 1 or 2 loss season for Frost.
-
Riley really botched this situation.

The fans might be upset, but why would they turn on Moos? And why worry about something like this that hasn't happened yet? Do you have a solution to this potential future dilemma? -

Your third-fold is the one to focus on. And it's by far the most likely. Why in the world would any AD not have Frost at or near the top of his list? And there's no good reason to assume that Frost would flat turn us down, assuming we make a generous offer. Win-win. That's what I'm going with.
