  1. I take this guys statement with a "kill off the dinosaurs" sized grain of salt because he could have made this whole thing up but..... Analyzing this audio, he may have given away his source. He mentioned that this was a Blackshirt and at about the 4:48 mark he says "this is a kid from Nebraska", which could have been a mistake on his part -- Out of the original 16 Blackshirts announced in August, 3 are from Nebraska. Chris Weber Mick Stoltenberg Luke Gifford It is not Chris Weber, because this guy said the player he talked to was saying they want to play for Coach Frost next year. Chris Weber is a senior and will not be playing no matter who the coach is next year. That means it would have had to of been Mick or Luke, the only two original Blackshirts from Nebraska. This was my "investigative journalism" of what could be a total crock of s*** statment, but if not, it is narrowed down!
  2. Patrick OB getting burn so he has some college game film for his transfer at the end of this season. Doesn’t fit well in a Frost offense
  3. Bob "Reasonable Reason" Diaco giving his reasonable reasons for why his defense is such trash
  4. He’s a legend, I heard he can hit the urinal from 43 feet away, no hands. He can do whatever he wants!
  5. Mike Riley seems like genuinely good man and is well respected around the country. With that being said, he is a lifetime .500 coach and his year 3 product is embarrassing to the core. One thing he has been able to do is get talent on campus and seriously interested in coming (we will see how the rest of this class shakes out). I think he will be offered the chance to step down at the end of this year so that he doesn't have to go through a firing. If he is done at the end of the year and Frost is brought in, what do you think about him being kept on in some kind of administrative recruiting position? Not involved with coaching, but helping find/recruit talent with his 64 geriatric smiling years of connections. My guess is he might be done coaching after this experiment, and it could be some ROI for the university since someone thought it was a good idea to sign an extension through 2020. It would help Frost to have success early if we can keep what talent we still have committed.
  6. Well doing so to a successful result would be the nice part!
  7. https://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2017/10/23/16501428/scott-frost-ucf-coach-offense Cool break down showing some of Frosts offensive scheme... I love the pulling guard to sell the play action (towards the bottom) Ingenuity.... that would be nice to see in Lincoln!
  8. Agreed. Questions is, why are several top talents thinking about playing for a bad coach?
  9. Because the two issues I have seen throughout a lot of threads is "if we get rid of HCMR we lose a good 2018 class" and "if we stick with HCMR to save the class, we lose out on a chance with Frost" The dream scenario solves both of these problems. Likely, no. But if Frost wants UNL to succeed as much as we do, I thought it was worth noting what could be done to have the best chance of success, quickly.
  10. I know this is far fetched but lets create a dream scenario.... Fire DL and bring in Scott Frost as OC, with stipulations that he becomes the head coach in the next 1-2 years. Keeps Riley in the fold to help land a good 2018 class but also lets his geriatric behind ride gracefully into retirement, instead of being abruptly fired, which he may go for. Kind of like a poor mans Riley-Stoops scenario.

Kind of like a poor mans Riley-Stoops scenario. This depends on if they feel this 2018 class could really be a game changer in terms of the future of the program. If not, can the old nice man and lets get Frosty. I also think Diaco, both Williams' and Parella should carry over to the next staff. Obviously have the ability to recruit and I think we have seen glimpses of whats to come in Diaco's system. I think we will see a really good defense next year (if side show Bob is still around)
