  1. I'd be surprised if it means anything as far as recruiting. This is it's true value:
  2. My only question, can someone stop by Leon's and check the walls for a team picture and see if Ruud is in it?
  3. I'm told Tom Osborne, Charlie McBride, and George Darlington were in the building this morning. <And now old news!> Also was told Gebbia and Martinez are expected to be the Red QBs, with Vedral and Bunch expected on White. GBR!
  4. I would have seen Huskers play only once with this attitude. I bought my Skers-Spartans tickets from the MSU athletic dept. The rest of the 100+ games I've attended were with tickets from the secondary market. I got these sweet spring game tickets from a relative that works in the athletic dept. I'm going to enjoy those 3rd party tickets and my 1500 mile round trip from Ann Arbor a helluva lot more than I would enjoy your high ground and watching it on BTN.
  5. We need to stop blaming schools for poor parenting.
  6. A common theme I've picked up on from the pressers with the players desire a desire to do what's best for the team. These kinds of comments have been from several players. Heck, Bunch was asked to contrast his time last year with what's happened so far. He skipped the question and said he wanted to help the team get better. Why are these guys becoming selfless and wanting what's best not for themselves but what's best for the team? I think this quote about the decision to leave UCF tell us why. Scott Frost was never leaving UCF alone. He wanted what was best for his coaching staff. The best way to teach these kinds of moral and values is to live them yourself. People spoke highly of Mike Riley's morals and how he impacted his players. I don't see a drop off in these intangibles. The boys are becoming men with not only excellent football coaches but excellent life coaches as well. (I'm ashamed of my coach crush but damn it!)
  7. I feel kinda like a player, I'm trying learn Frost & Co spread and get in better shape. So far I've found some good videos and pages. So far, I've lost exactly 0 pounds of fat and have put on exactly 0 pounds of lean muscle. Here are some links that I've learned a lot from. Please post links that you think will help me learn scheme (I don't need any fitness links, thx). Duck Fish has several videos on Chip Kelly's Oregon Ducks spread. These two give some good information on the inside and outside zone reads. Fish has goos info about other base formations too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekf3RGWwqMQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6L1x5u1mNH0 This page has some interesting insight on the motion Frost uses to disrupt defenses. https://blogs.usafootball.com/blog/4999/how-scott-frost-evolved-chip-kelly-s-offense-at-central-florida This page talks about pulling the linemen. The meat of the article is just after a sweet video of Frost QBing the scout team running Navy's option. https://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2017/10/23/16501428/scott-frost-ucf-coach-offense This page puts the motion and line play together, lots of examples. https://www.landof10.com/nebraska/film-room-scott-frost-brings-pace-space-football-nebraska I don't know how I could watch football for 40 years and have such a shallow understanding of it. hahaha
  8. Zero blitz! Anyone remember Diaco sending 7 rushers?
  9. The Colorado had 3 studs in the secondary two years ago. They went in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds in the draft. The Puffs did not reload.
  10. BE is for Bob Elliott, defensive backs coach under Riley, who passed away last year. He was from Iowa and so is Chin. Hehehe
  11. What's the "BE" mean? And where can I get a hat like that? It's nice to have the full context of the the coaches' comments. I think the tweets are fair, but I really enjoy pressers. As far as open practice? I want a full production crew at every meeting, lifting, practice, dinner, I want total coverage! And gopros, lots of gopros and mic'ed up players and coaches. The ppt playbook, there should be a link on the main page of http://huskers.com.
  12. Not only has Frost sped up the offence, Spielman speaks at twice the rate he did last year.
  13. Michigan was Big 10 champs in 2003, and co champs in 2004 :/
  14. The bootlegger's boy (Switzer) smoking on the sideline. I was a smoker at the time but still chapped my ass. To be honest, Switzer could of solved cancer I would still hate him.
  15. Some pretty cool comments from some of the former costume characters. I got Current Herbie. Old School Herbie is my fav. I would have had him on my arm about 11PM, January 1st, 1995 if Ralph's Hungry Eye had been open. Here's some more mascots from the past, http://www.huskerj.com/mascots-logos.htm
  16. This post must end with "Whoooo" or you're a complete fraud. You're a disgrace to Ric Flair. Delete your account.
  17. This series is in the public domain now. Thx Thurston. The Return of Scott Frost Part One: The Stage is Set Part Two: The New Boss Part Three: The Courtship Part Four: The Meeting Part Five: The Decision Part Six: The Final Call The best part is the illustrations, hahaha.
  18. Akron will be looking to avenge their lost and even the series at 1-1. The previous match up? The 1997 season opener in Lincoln. Frost and London had good showings.
  19. There are clubs for both rowing and women's hockey. Row Big Red! Women's hockey Wonder what it takes to be IX compliant.
