That's all the clarification we need on the "major college coach" comment. He certainly wasn't eliminating frost from the conversation when he said that.

I believe he's saying that the details are worked out for what the contract will say.

Moos himself said today that it's going to be a coach with major college head coaching experience.

Fwiw, Campbell wasn't on anybody's radar when Moos began doing the legwork.

I haven't heard the talk about Campbell that others apparently have. My understanding is that Fuente is our number 2 and has reciprocated interest and that Mullen is 3. Under no circumstances will we have to move on to number 4 because we will get one of our top 3.

Contrary to many opinions in huskerland, Watson is a damn good coordinator. I'm surprised he isn't a head coach right now quite honestly.

UCF being undefeated is impressive. There are probably a half dozen teams that could have done it as well, the only difference is that if those teams had done it they would be ranked 2nd or 3rd. Put Ohio State in that scenario and they'd be getting a lot more respect than UCF is.

I'm darn near a 10. After having spoken to and read things from people who have varying levels of connection it's more than a little obvious that all stories are pretty similar. I've heard that bounds was in contact with frosts agent prior to moos being hired and got a "Yes" on interest. I've heard that moos was given the green light to secure him at any cost. The initial contract offer was substantial and the only negotiations back and forth was in regards to the structure of bonuses and automatic extensions. It's also pretty telling that for there being no less than 4 major programs doing searches and frost being the top commodity that we've heard zip as far as any types of offers or reciprocal interest from anyone but Nebraska.

They normally inform the media only a couple of hours prior to something like this. It'll probably be late tomorrow morning so I would think by 10 or 11 am we'll get the word.

Osborne himself said that if he was still coaching he would be running a spread-option offense. He wasn't that far off from it in 1995. If you look at how much he adjusted the offense for frost it's obvious that he had no problem adapting to his personnel and rules changes in general.

It relates to the blackshirts, our first team defense. For decades, the blackshirts were marketed on posters, shirts, etc with a skull and crossbones, the skull was wearing a husker helmet.

Also, someone should remind Sr that Riley isn't losing his job because of us having the wrong style of qb. Anyone with eyes can tell you we were better with armstrong than we are with Lee.

I wonder if Sr. would have had the same expectations of performance for Jr that he does for Riley.

Pretty sure it's lil red frost. They chose that name over devaney, Jamal, and Memorial stadium. Rumor has it she wanted it to be fearless Frankie but scott put the kibosh to it.

Agreed on the foreman interview. There's obviously some bad blood between some former players and I think that is the impetus for him saying that frost needs to address the L.P. issue. It would be for former players, not the fans.
