  1. I’m a fan of Dr Fauci. Scrolling down on this article is a good Q and A video from Jennifer Garner’s Instagram. Might be worth your time if you want to get up to date on where we are with vaccine development and other COVID stuff. I might suggest heeding his advice on Vitamin D. https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/fauci-jennifer-garner-theaters.amp
  2. It’s funny. The article doesn’t say why. Covid outbreak?
  3. I commend you for admitting to being one of the laughers. To answer your question, I didn’t because the OP wasn’t laughing or otherwise denigrating anyone else’s view on God. Why did you laugh at her’s? That’s why I responded the way I did.
  4. So are you saying you have God figured out?
  5. I like it too. Sort of a refreshing change from the usual P&R topics of late. I’m sure you know well enough to ignore the dipsh!t who keeps laughing.
  6. Who laughed? I must have missed the funny part. I wouldn’t doubt Devine intervention to punish us for Trump and all of his transgressions. If we re-elect him, maybe we’re all screwed.
  7. I’m going to be honest with you here. I often have to re-read your posts several times to try to figure out what point you’re trying to make. And even then I’m usually not quite sure. It’s like reading riddles. Not knocking you. Just pointing it out. Maybe this style is your intent.
  8. I also used to think it was bizarre until I realized how some of these believers ( who happen to be close to me) get their “news “. In the car? It’s Limbaugh or Glenn Beck. All of the time. At home? Fox News is on. Every freakin day. Are they dumb people? No. Are they brainwashed? X1000. The combination of not wanting to believe Trump’s nefarious behavior is true and being told every waking hour by conservative blowhards that it’s “fake news” makes their denials actually pretty understandable. Wrong, but understandable.
  9. It’s close because the enormously popular republican propaganda machine is extremely good at spreading misinformation. And most importantly, there’s no equal on the left. Not even close. Just my opinion.
  10. Yes. Westside is pretty loaded this year. Going to be tough to beat. Agree with you on Payton. He needs to fine tune his accuracy, but he’s got a strong arm and runs very well. But as far as Bretz, I’m glad he’s going to be a Husker. Great size and athleticism aside, he just makes plays. The past two seasons I’ve watched the, #25 is all over the field. I like Dickerson, but I feel Bretz is a more complete player.
  11. Hillary was pretty tough to cheer for, I get. But why all the Clinton hate from the right? I honestly don’t know.
  12. My point was IA and WI are successful for more important reasons other than recruiting. I’m not equating us to either program. In fact our culture and development have been quite the opposite. If at this point in time we’re worried about having a top 40 class vs a top 20 class, then I hope we are under the assumption that the coaching and culture are close to being where we need them to be and are headed in the right direction. If we don’t make that assumption, then we haven’t been paying attention the past 20 years. Riley and Callahan recruited top 20. How did that work out?
  13. Having watched several WHS games in the past two seasons, I will agree with this assessment entirely. Both have very good potential with the right coaching. I’m biased, but I think Nebraska’s the right choice. Dickerson must not want to come to NU for some reason. Hopefully Bretz does.
  14. My point is that when you’re trying to climb back to relevance, recruiting is just a small part. If you’re already relevant, then recruiting becomes much more important if you have playoff hopes, etc. If we aren’t currently on the right path with good coaches a better culture, then it won’t matter how good our recruiting classes are (HCBC and HCMR showed us that). I’m thinking and hoping we are on the right path. Recruiting will improve, but I think the culture establishment must come first.
  15. Wisky and Iowa have done just fine with top 40ish classes.
  16. Like the offer. I’ve seen him play multiple times. IMO he and Payton are the top players on WHS’s team.
  17. Exactly. I’ll miss it somewhat, but I am looking forward to having a more relaxing anxiety free fall. I’m planning on being back next year as a season ticket holder, but I expect an improved fan experience. Not talking wins and losses, but these would be nice: Better foot and traffic control, better parking, option to have a beer, less cramped seating, fewer adds and more information from other games on the video boards, better stadium WiFi....
  18. Maybe Thom Brennemann will get added as a speaker to help complete the R agenda. Heard he has some new found free time.
  19. What happens when many people figure out there’s other, more productive or self fulfilling ways to spend Saturdays in the Fall? And then one day, football is back. But will all these people be back to watch? Some will, but some may find there’s more to life than 4 hours of cycling between anxiety and joy while often screaming at a bunch of college students who aren’t always meeting your expectations. Just a hunch, but this may become a real problem for some schools to continue to get butts in stadium seats.
  20. I think more so it shows how easily people are swayed. So many don’t see the big picture. It’s how we ended up with Trump in the first place. It’s both scary and sad that despite everything Trump has failed at, this will end up being a very tight race.
  21. I would wager a significant percentage of Goodyear workers are blue collar non-college educated white men. In other words, the prototypical Trump voter. Bravo Mr President. Keep up the good work!
  22. That’s what the country has become. Makes one feel patriotic, huh?
  23. Spending more time in the duck blind. Not a bad consolation as far as I’m concerned. No more rushing back home to catch the 11:00 games.
