Khalil Davis got hurt in the weight room. Had 650LBs of weights fall on his thumb. Needs surgery to fix it.

If I were a defensive lineman, I'd be pretty embarrassed if I had to miss a season because of an injured thumb... I'd be shocked if he isn't ready by fall
Edit: I realize it's probably extremely painful and will take time to recover, and he may never get the full use of his thumb back. It's his right thumb, so he might not be able to throw for track & field either. I do know he's a tough dude and he'll work his butt off to get back to full speed.

Nebraska is going to have the fastest Offense in the BIG next year. I don't think it will be close either. They became elite in terms of speed on O within 2 months. Incredible.

I think most people realize this is a multi-year project. There shouldn't be expectations on wins next year. This team was a disaster last year. Let them establish a culture and get their systems in place. Anyone who criticizes this staff next year for on-field performance has clearly never coached football.

I think you can say fastest in the Big Ten West. I'm as excited as anyone about this coaching staff and the outlook for the team, but I'm keeping my expectations tempered for year 1. OSU, State Penn, and even Michigan are still above NU in talent and speed. Luckily, this staff showed in the Peach Bowl that those aren't the only factors that go into winning.

13-1 Wisconsin signed the #44 ranked class on 24/7. Signing guys to their system is one thing, but from an outsider, that seems really disappointing.

I agree with all of that. I think with some better coaching and better schemes, we won't see running backs going 75 yards untouched, or TE's and WR's without a defender within 10 yards of them. I think Nebraska has the better playmakers by a small margin right now (I expect this gap to widen very soon), and I'm excited to see that show up on the field.
