  1. Also Washington's lack of muscle is showing. He got tossed off that slant route and is not able to do much after contact. This one needs to be a Devine game
  2. We blitzed at least once and took the blitz into a clogged mass of men.
  3. Urban coaches OSU's special teams. This should tell you its importance to a team's success...
  4. They still haven't punted...and I'll take it! What a stop
  5. What a drive. This offense has improved so much. Let's go D!
  6. This is how culture changes. Love it
  7. The coaches seem to be changing the culture and attitude of these players. We should see more of these recognition-types in years to come as we have more success, more buy-in, and more talent injection
  8. Understood. I do love the way the kids are fighting through adversity. This 1-6 literally feels better than any Riley season. I'm extremely hopeful for what is developing.
  9. I'm 100% on this coaching train
  10. I misrepresented my thought. Frost certainly knows the tradition. I think they're lowering the bar this year to encourage and coach the best talent available. We should see a shift as talent increases. I look forward to the day where Lamar-likes wouldn't know the dimensions of a field because they're too deep on the roster to see one. Fast offense. Nasty, mean D. It will come.
  11. Lamar Jackson getting one shows me the staff has a low bar for the tradition. A few plays one game, and maybe a preceding week of decent practice, in no way absolves him from so many issues he's had. It may be the staff trying to not "lose" a kid, or encourage, but it definitely should tell us about the standard right now.
  12. I love how poised and controlled his emotions are. Not too high, not too low. Steady. Amazing talent AND demeanor from the kid
  13. Fleck's presser lauding the Huskers and seeing the potential. Not worth the whole 28 minutes but good stuff, in parts.
  14. We are blocking on the edge much better from the receiving core. And reducing penalties in those same spots. Frost did a nice job of slowing the pace when we were ahead...something we did poorly earlier in the year. And, we were NOT predictable with the lead unlike NW game. What I really want to see are new issues or mistakes. I don't like miscues, but when they are all new, it means the kids are learning and growing. And, again, I LOVED seeing the fight in the kids when they could've been down and started doubting. I agree with Scott things have changed since Purdue. Let's keep getting better, boys!
  15. This is what you get when you have 19 year olds playing football. I'm not a subscriber to MIT beat Florida A&M who beat Kentucky who beat Auburn line of thinking. Scott went there with the NW playing Michigan game. We're going to get OSU's top game. They have to get to top 4 for the playoffs. Talk to me in three/four years, but this will be a mountain to climb.
  16. Huge heart in this one. I love it. And absolutely fantastic play call
  17. It's unspeakably bad with that kid...He simply cannot not overrun a play. He just doesn't get it
  18. What's the point though? Why handcuff a comeback opp?
  19. Not against Purdue. The small sample size of sometimes this Saturday doesn't make it true. Purdue we couldn't get key stops.
  20. Adrian has to work on his swing passes. He leads folk and they can make plays
  21. Torched. They were in a zone D and he was no pressing back quickly enough. Should've been 6 for NW
  22. It's been so long since I've seen a win, I'm having trouble picturing what a victory looks like. Though I'd rather be 0-5 with Frost than 3-2 with Riley.
  23. Shows you it's not just recruiting. The guy seemed toxically lazy
