  1. But it did address your comment. As I posted above, I will present some info later after I put my children to bed. And both sides disagree which is which.
  2. My bad, I am used to seeing Husker sites as bastions of far rightwingdom. I am anxious to see how successful the impeachment inquiry is. I have no love for either side.
  3. You just said it yourself... "most of the western world agreed". As I said it was a war of influence between Russian friendly politicians and NATO friendly politicians. Neither side is good for Ukraine, both just wanted to loot it of resources. Most independent analyses of post Maidan Ukraine acknowledge that the IMF stepped in to sell off most of the country's resources to western interests for pennies on the dollar.
  4. I called it cheesy... it is. No problem, end of issue.
  5. It did lay things out quite well, with a few assumtions thrown in... like assuming that this was about any real effort to clean up corruption. it was a war of influence, and a favor was done to remove an opponent.
  6. I mentioned a dozen sources because not all international sites have the same expertise. For example Haaretz (https://www.haaretz.com/) had the best coverage of the Israeli elections, Al Aribiya (http://english.alarabiya.net/) gives you the Saudi perspective as opposed to that of the Emir of Qatar (https://www.aljazeera.com/). You can use this site (http://www.onlinenewspapers.com/index.htm) to find world newspapers.
  7. Why do you assume that "panties in a wad" over a comment. That identifies yourself as someone not to be conversed with. And at least Facebook lets you know who doesn't appreciate your post, instead of assuming.
  8. I wouldn't call Garry kasparov neutral, he is on record as an enemy of Putin and a friend of the Clintons. I will admit so being biased myself, believing there to be sufficient dirt on both Trump and Biden. A bit later on after the babies go to bed I will find what I believe to be an accurate summary of the situation in Ukraine.
  9. People who hate Trump see things one way, and people who hate Biden see it a different way. Despite being a Republican, Dowd is on record as agreeing with Hillary that Trump supporters were "deplorables". Analysis from independents would be much preferred to people who already have preexisting biases.
  10. I'm new here, who can annonamously put the Facebook style laughter icons? It's pretty cheesy to do so while remaining hidden.
  11. Let's start with one that is more conservative, and one that is more progressive. https://www.zerohedge.com/ https://theintercept.com/
  12. I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican. I don't like either Trump or Biden, and would like to see both go down. But I doubt either does, as deals will be made. Unfortunately I see partisans of both sides saying how their guy is completely innocent, and the other guy is going down.
  13. The Ukraine scandal will not result in the impeachment of Trump, nor will Hunter Biden be indicted. But it will further dirty the record of Joe Biden. Too many powerful people have their political lives at stake, and deals will be made to keep the truth hidden. The Crimea will remain part of Russia, and the best we can hope for is a peaceful resolution in the Donbas. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/here-dirt-trump-wanted-about-bidens-and-why-zelensky-doesnt-want-give-it-him
  14. Including my post. But if you want to get reliable information, you cannot rely on Fox, CNN or MSNBC. You need at least a dozen or more sources with known biases, so you can triangulate toward the most likely version of what happened. Unfortunately sites like Google, Yahoo, YouTube, twitter and even Wikipedia are censoring alternate non-mainstream news.
  15. It looks like all 12 candidates will be on stage at the same time for the fourth debate. The candidates who are in the most trouble fund-raising wise are Harris, Booker and Castro. Beto and Klobuchar seem to be languishing without much of an identity. I'm still not sure why Biden is running for president, and I really don't believe he wants the job. This will be Tom Steyer's first time on the big stage. What does he believe in, other than impeachment?
  16. No sane and rational person should have any confidence that the opinions they receive from Fox News, CNN or MSNBC are factual information. One of the principal goals of Russiagate was the censorship of alternative news sites, disingenuously labeling them as Kremlin tools or racist.
  17. I can't find them either locally, or on the internet. Everyone is so biased with preconceived opinions that rational discussion has been impossible.

  19. Where do you expect to find that type of people?
  20. Everyone just needs to vent and get it out of their systems. As AM wisely said, the team will need 24 hours to move on from this.
  21. People do not blame the soldiers if you lose a war, they blame the generals. Putting in the second string QB after the starter is faltering does not mean you want to replace him, but that perhaps he needs a mental reset.
  22. This place seems to be a bit more tolerant than other sites, like the one that bought us.
  23. Not always. Some players are great practicers, but don't bring it to the game.
  24. Bo Pelini was not a good recruiter, but he did well with Bill Callahan's recruits.
