  1. Solid they are, but let's not create a hyperbole by saying they "invincible". They can be taken down. There's at least 5 teams perennially better than them in the Big Ten.
  2. Although I disagree with the part where you said" If he would have come up to Lincoln a month earlier and left UCF, that class would have looked exactly the same." because Frost literally kicked off over half his first year roster due to more careful evaluation now, I do agree that the late start obviously hurt on top of already taking an extra month to coach UCF to perfection. He just kind of played that part a little incorrectly and now he understands why most coaches leave immediately when they realize they've gotten a new job to coach somewhere else. But that doesn't mean Frost is not a great coach. It was just a sign of a little inexperience in addition to the early sign date working against him as well. But again I'm not mad at that because seeing UCF being coached to an unprecedented 13-0 after being 0-12 2 seasons before will never be duplicated and is one of the most miraculous feet's in CFB history. Not only that but it helped obtained Frost all those "coach of the year" awards and a "natty" on his resume which has helped him recruit amazingly well for Nebraska for our best recruiting classes in all of the 2000's despite not even making a bowl game for 2 years which is just... WOW! And Frost's previous accomplishments altogether on top of the UCF ones will always continue to help him recruit quality players for the Huskers. So it all goes hand in hand in which I believe it was divinely orchestrated for an overall better good.
  3. Yeah, but the culture being bad at Nebraska and Frost not being able to develop relationships with the "then current roster" was not why his first year of recruits did so horribly. His first year of recruits were not carefully evaluated by him and his staff beforehand to prevent them being a bust in the first place. It's the coaches job to evaluate their recruits to see how their grades are, what their criminal history is, their work habits, seeing how they really play all 4 quarters on the field to check their actual talent level for themselves, seeing what kind of person they are to determine if they'd fit with their system, etc. Frost and staff did not do any of those evaluations and simply recruited based off of "star ratings" which is never the one simple thing to go by when recruiting. Again I'm not mad at that since it only happened because of coaching UCF to perfection instead of carefully evaluating the recruits he was bringing onto Nebraska that year. But in addition to that, yeah what you said about the early sign date working against them as well was also apparent.
  4. Yeah, I know about that "World's easiest schedule" Iowa had in 2015 where a 6-7 Nebraska team was their toughest opposition that they barely beat by one score. But yeah, besides that Iowa just had the best season they could possibly have for the most part when playing a "real schedule". And they don't just reload their players like that since they can't recruit that well. So that usually means a somewhat of a "dip" is about to happen for them the very next season afterwords.
  5. I used to be mad at what looked like a lack of progress under year 2 of Duval's S & C program. But once I realized that the culture was bad due to Frost and staff not carefully evaluating the players they brought onto Nebraska when they first got here due to making UCF perfect that year I'm not as mad now. That in addition to the fact that our team was young as hell last season. I still trust and believe in Duval and this staff to get us where we need to be.
  6. Yeah, it's very unfortunate that the culture is still bad but it really isn't mostly Frost's fault. What happened is he stayed at UCF to coach their bowl game to make them perfect and in doing so, he was unable to carefully evaluate the recruits he brought in that same year. Thus most of them (or over half of them) ended up being bust due to either grades, morality, or actual real talent level. So a recruiting class that was supposed to be starters last season ended being little to know help at all and actually ended up being burdensome more than helpful since they actually ruined the culture here that much further with all the drug problems we've had including before last season even started, the rapes, the bad leadership, etc. But because it came at the sacrifice of making UCF perfect, I'm actually not mad at Frost for this. I enjoyed watching UCF being coached to an unprecedented 2 year perfection from being winless the previous 2 seasons before. That's what garnered Frost a natty on his resume as well as all of those "coach of the year" awards which he has still used to this day to bring in the best quality of recruits Nebraska has had in all of it's years in the 2000's. And what he did for UCF will likely continue to help him in terms of recruiting for Nebraska from here on forward as well.
  7. Iowa just had the best season they'll have in a pretty long time from now. They're not going to be any better. In fact, they're going down by Nebraska in year 3 under Frost even at Kinnick Stadium. They won't even have their S & C edge over the Huskers in year 3 of coach Duval as well either.

    Bo to LSU?

Well you know how these things work. Chances are he's already signed his contract and apart of the staff. But it won't get announced that he's a part of the staff until days later after "This guy is a strong candidate for the job" articles come out. I'd say it was already a done deal at least a few days ago and some time within the next few days poof* "Bo's the new LSU DC" article will come out.

    Lubick

I like this hire. I love his resume. I admire his history and relationships with Frost at Oregon. Not to mention his astounding accomplishments at Washington. But I'll only see how much I really love this guy when I see what he produces on the DAMN FIELD here at Nebraska!
  10. Well Frost tends to only increase very slightly in win total by 1 damn win a year. So by that estimate let's see: First year: 4 wins Second year: 5 wins third year: (should be) 6 wins Fourth year: (should be) 7 wins fifth year: (should be) 8 wins sixth year: (should be) 9 wins seventh year: (should be) 10 wins eighth year: (should be) 11 wins ninth year: (should be) 12 wins or UNDEFEATED So actually judging by this system it should only take NINE YEARS for us to become relevant again. You're a year off. So strap in boys it's going to be a loooong bus ride to the top.

    Kudos to SF

Well I do admire how Frost is willing to do whatever it takes to make the team great even if it means getting rid of guys he originally never questioned to be the ones that would help him make this program great. I like the new hires. I like the direction. But we'll only really know if these were the right moves after we've seen the results of this new staff show up on the DAMN FIELD. PERIOD!
  12. They need to stop this claim of placing every single team that wins a national championship now a days among the "greatest team ever" list. They said the same thing with 2018 Clemson as well as Dabo and squad were so quick to claim being the best ever as well. I mean there's going to be another 15-0 national champion next year, and the next year, and so on. Give things some time first to develop before claiming that the very next team to win a title is also now automatically in the conversation of being the "greatest team ever". It's nonsense.
  13. I got to say, I just don't like this season that's coming up. I mean to know that we'll only go 6-6 or 7-5 at best is pretty disheartening to say the least. We'll probably start off 7-0 but end up 7-5 due to that nasty back half of the schedule. But my prediction is that we start off 6-1 and end up 6-6. We're not beating Ohio State at Ohio Stadium. Penn State I predict to win the Big Ten and be in the playoffs this upcoming year. We aren't beating Iowa at Kinnick Stadium nor Wisconsin at Camp Randall. But maybe we might could steal a win against Minnesota in Lincoln at the end of the season perhaps but I wouldn't bet on it. So I'm best off closing the door on being a Nebraska fan for the next few years until Frost gets this program to "watchable" level. I can't take this "living around bowl game level" type of Nebraska nonsense anymore.
