  1. Also, what is more likely the guy who played at Nebraska during its hay day, has been a previous AD and has made very unpopular decisions (Going against the grain) before, and knows exactly where Nebraska football should be. Saying the hell with it and dying on the hill with Frost. or Trev kissing the ring of some billionaires who probably have never even played the game. Just because they think they know what is best because they have money. And that is what I am asking, did all the boosters get together and get on the same page to hire Campbell. The couldn't even agree to fully fund the new toys on campus you think they could agree on a football coach? Trev has all the cards, are those billionaires going to stop funding the university in the middle of the new facilities being built, Trev could easily turn that ok them.
  2. It seemed fishy to me when I heard it, however the person I did hear it from has be dead on in the past... I was mainly fishing to see if anyone has head anything similar. my floor to keep him would be 8 wins with or without a bowl game win.
  3. Take it for what it is worth, I don't think it was a unanimous decision by all booster or backers whatever you would like to call them.
  4. The is where I am at, I don't know what Frost can do other than win a lot of games next year to prove that we are headed in the right direction. I mean 10 win season type stuff. But then either AM returns and we know what we have there, or we are breaking in a new QB who for right now is on the roster, but who is to say they don't transfer... GAH! In my personal belief like you said if these new coaches are not home run hires we will be looking for a new HC in 2022. Also if Trev really did go Lone Ranger and against the grain of the boosters, we may be looking for a new AD as well. food for thought.
  5. They might build these facilities and see what Frost has done by then or what he can do with them and either let him go if SIGNIFICANT improvement is not made or keep him in hopes he can really make a big jump or they may throw a boat load of money at a new coach and say here is a new toy to play with see what you can do. I get the impression that the money is there to do a number of things, however the boosters are tired of throwing good money after bad they want a high ROI. and I don't blame them.
  6. Everything I am hearing is that the boosters are "Fed up" and Frost still might not be safe this year I can't imagion the high brow billionaire slant comments that the big boys throw at each-other.
  7. A little bird told me that Frost was also supposed to get canned that Monday but Trev went against the boosters.... It was all set up to have Matt Campbell come in. That would mean that Nebraska would pay Campbell's 28 M buyout, at the time Frost 20 M buyout, as well as the previous coaching staff and Campbell's new staff's salary it would be in the neighbourhood of 50-60 M. On top of a already behind scheduled 150 M dollar facilities upgrade. If true that would put Nebraska around 200 M in dedicated money just to the football team over the coarse of 2-4 years. I would say that Nebraska is serious about making the necessary changes that need to be made.
  8. Yeah... I would hope that Frost and Co. and that means Chins, Matt and Trev would all be in on making this decision. I know that sounds like a lot of chefs in the kitchen but IMO we need all the valuable input we can get. I think that coach Chins input would be highly valuable. Matt not so much be he could be a good in-between for Frost. Trev for obvious reasons. My hope is that it is Tom Herman, I do think that we need a big name to go with a proven track record.
  9. I completely agree oh, I'm losing all interest in the program. I got rid of my YouTube TV cuz I don't care about the last two games in the football season and I sure do not care about a lackluster basketball season. Also looks like volleyballs going to disappoint me. There's just no real reason to TuneIn
  10. I don't know if he has been mentioned or not but Tom Herman?
  11. Bump his pay, all the dfensive coaches pay. It is interesting to think what if he was the head coach.
  12. Honestly we need a OC that can get us 4 yards consistently and not have drives that last less than a minute.
  13. This thread is serious dang it! I for one think we need more threads about the same topic but slightly different. I am Richard Hangslow and I am running for board President.
  14. Peetz is going to the NFL I am hearing that we may be getting this guy for our OL coaching position that is currently vacant. Donovan Raiola (chicagobears.com)
  15. I would rather get a 0 star walk on from Nebraska because it means more to them.
