  1. Tommie never threw for 700 plus yards in a game. Hell that was like half a seasons yardage for him.
  2. I never said stats did or didn't matter. I said frazier was the qb of a buzzsaw team that was exceptional in every phase. Adrian is on a team that's average at best. Of course the records are going to be skewed towards Tommies teams. They were way f'n better. And yes I have every game since I was about 10 recorded...so yeah, I've seen them, slap nuts. Frazier was a great option quarterback. One of the best to ever play collegiately. In our current system, with our current players, he'd be Taylor Martinez. No national championships, no conference championships. You're bashing a QB because you don't know what else to do. Has he been great? No. Has he been dreadful? Mostly, no. Does he fumble more than he should? Yes. Does he throw picks? Yep. Harder to complete passes when someone is within 30 yards of the receiver. You can't even compare the two qbs throwing abilities...Frazier played against 10-11 in the box all the time. Our team used to be a bulldozer. Now, the team has kind of sucked. Not all AMs fault, that's for sure.
  3. PLEASE show me a game where Tommie Frazier put up amazing-anything close to these stats?
  4. Tommie Frazier won because his team was other worldly. His defense was phenomenal, and kept them in games or won him games when we couldn't move the ball because a team was good enough to stop our running game...because lord knows we couldn't throw when we had to...only when we wanted to. His offensive line was the best in CFB and his running backs were pros. 2AM has been playing with a team that is average, at best. He isn't the best qb in the world, we all know he has warts...but if you put him with Frazier's defense, O-line and RBs, I'd argue he'd be a 10 win QB every year. That 94 team was so good they beat the #16 team in the country by 11 with their 3rd string QB & only 4 completions for 52 yards. The 94 defense gave up 7 points or less 6 times in 13 games. They only gave up more than 21 once. It's apples and oranges. Frazier was an amazing talent...all time great. Put him on this team, in this era...with this offense, we've got the same record...or worse because he couldn't throw. Maybe I am mistaken, but I don't even think Frazier accounted for over 2000 yards from scrimmage in a season at Nebraska. I think he was close. That's not a knock on him...he didn't need to, they were so freakin' good.
  5. Dude was all over the map. He threw like 2 good pitches. Good pitcher, trash this weekend.
  6. I doubt he'd start next year on a mid-tier, bottom-tier big10 team...let alone get drafted. He's declaring to get info, which is a good thing for him. He'll hear what he needs to work on. I hope all goes well for him, because he seems like a really good dude.
  7. This aged well. You were so confident!
  8. I don't know if it's talent issue at this point in time. There has been a huge gap between us and #10 down in the country. Our main issue from where I sit is we have a team, an entire team that doesn't know how to win at the FBS level. That's a super big deal. We have the Jimmy's and Joe's to compete with some upper crusters, but we piss in our chilli-bowl every time. You have to believe that we're on the cusp of breaking through that barrier. I don't think we'll ever get the "top" kids, but we've put together some impressive classes together under frost... talent-wise. They just need to start making winning plays at winning time. I think is more of a culture thing/attitude thing than a talent thing right now. It's getting better though.
  9. The eye test is important. It should never not be part of the equation if the system grants at-large teams. I am all for expansion. I am all for the little guy getting a shot...but right now we have what we have. The eye test is way more prevalent in basketball than it is in football.
  10. They should always be in...until proven otherwise. Subjectivity is the only way to go. Schedule strength is different, strength of conference is different, just to list a couple. To not use to eye test as one of the criteria is very short sided. I honestly hope someone knocks those two teams off of their perch this season! I'm getting tired of the same two teams. But I am not going to hate on the two best programs because they get in. However they get in. It's never been undeserving. Some years other teams may have deserved it too...but for the last 6 or 7 years, they have deserved everything they have been given. And they have earned their championships once they've gotten there. I may be in the minority with husker fans...and that's ok. We've all been butthurt for the last 20 years because we used to be Alabama. Now we're not. And we may never be there again. You can disagree, and we'll all be fine.
  11. Did I? Well s#!t. I guess I've been wrong the whole time! NO MORE ALABAMA OR CLEMSON IN THE CFP! ITS NOT FAIR! Better? Now I am on your side!
  12. Not when it comes to Alabama and Clemson currently in CFB. That's a super objective statement.
  13. I have never said it's right. I have said that Alabama and Clemson the two best teams until proven otherwise. So it's those two and two others in a 4 team playoff. Does it suck for another school that didn't get in? Yeah. Did it suck for UCF? Uh huh. Did the committee make the right decision based on "best teams", yes. Without a doubt.
  14. At that point, in 2001 our benefit of the doubt was over. Still waiting on Alabama's and clemsons. It will happen, not yet.
  15. What about them? They didn't get it. Right or wrong. When the rules change more teams will have a chance...right now, it's 4. So it's Alabama, Clemson and 2 others. Not saying it's right or wrong, I am saying that is the way it is.
  16. Were you b!^@hing like this when we played for a national championship after not winning our conference?
  17. You can't compare the NFL playoff system and CFB. One is subjective while the other is not. Until that changes, we're stuck with Alabama and Clemson getting in with 1 loss. Agreed
  18. So in your analogy, Alabama is the giants? Because they shouldn't have gotten in and still won? And new england is Georgia, who won the conference championship so, therefore...was better?
  19. Alabama has been good enough in one game a lot. Alabama was favored to win the national championship game. They weren't the underdog....the conference champ was. I am all for expansion...gets more programs in the field.
  20. What is hilarious about this is the team you're referring to won the national championship. But they didn't deserve to get in, right? Weren't good enough.
  21. Clemson has been their conference champ each time they've been selected. Alabama 5 of 6.
  22. You guys are acting like these Teams are 9-3 getting in to the playoffs. They are 13-0 or 12-1. Get out of here with your Napoleon complex.
