  1. You might want to slip a little scotch into that pitcher of Kool-Aid lol. I'm not pick'n on ya. I've made a personal oath to not have any expectations. Either way. Hopefully you're right.
  2. Godfathers. Don't got to the other place or no one's gonna be won over. Lol...can't sell it if nothing's in the warmer.
  3. That's not nearly bulky enough! We need someone similar in stature to Travis Vokolek. Is it possible we could convert him? I'd heard once there was a trick play involving him. He might be able to stand firm in the pocket like a statue! I don't know how well he throws...
  4. What concerns me is how durable will he be with his build. Needs to do what's necessary helping to ensure longevity. And the O-line needs to kick it in the pants protecting their quarterbacks. Along with a reliable rushing attack.
  5. Lol yeah. Contests like that with prizes. And a means of generating revenue to pay for bandwidth!
  6. Issue is that there's latency to our issues/problems being solved. I'm encouraged by the recent developments to a degree but really most of them have been overdo IMO. Reminds me of the turtle races I went to over at Prosser NE when I was growing up. Or, syrup moving on a winter's day. Determination and fight are truly good things and so are the abilities to address, adjust and adapt. There needs to be a sense of urgency around the program. Everything matters detail to detail. No time for neglecting or attempts at forcing square pegs into round holes.
  7. Give it time. They'll be another problematic issue that arises we can complain about and offer solutions to. In the meantime, we can make something up! Lol Seriously though, I know what you're meaning...We could use more encouraging developments that offer hope. It's a long time until springtime comes around and next season now seems like an eternity.
  8. If a team gets an invite in this scenario do they really want to go with short notice. My guess is many would decline. There are several reasons why it wouldn't be practical. It might be workable for some.
  9. Tony Tuioti is a very good coach. Was definitely strong asset for us. All the best to him...He'd just gotten better and better as the years went along. More work to do!
  10. I'm thinking in the neighborhood of $900,000?
  11. https://www.on3.com/news/the-2021-22-college-football-transfer-portal-tracker/
  12. Nope, anything involving assault and those types of things would be a no thank you with me also.
  13. It's a possibility (Knox) if he's interested and we can reach an agreement. I think he'd be a great fit. It's not so much what the particular arrangement ends up being as long as it is effective and the issues with special teams are thoroughly addressed and great strides are made all aspects of it end up functioning well.
  14. Having those mentioned attributes would be advantageous. I'm okay with a jerk. I mean, where does being rational and good-natured get a guy!
  15. Maybe he's been as conflicted as we have! Thus, wanting to discuss the issue with the team. He has an idea he's nearly settled on although he's not entirely comfortable with it whatever that might be.
  16. I'd take a rugged type of guy like Big Ben that was accurate, relatively mobile, made good decisions, was decisive and could throw the ball downfield decent. That's not what I'm comparing Slovis being (lol) only what I envision what I'd like in a quarterback and would work in Whipple's offense.
  17. It's not unreasonable to think that Whipple would/should be able to lure in a quarterback to the program given his history working with them. At least increase the possibility of it occurring. It wasn't like a promise or implied statement was made indicating one was going to be reeled in. His work with some good ones might suggest that though. I can see us landing a good quarterback and he's mentioned there's been some interest generated our way.
  18. It can be developed over time. For some it's more natural. We recall stars shining an impression formed that they actually perform better under pressure than when not. Really it's about players that are affected less by moments involving more pressure. It's just part of the process this or that play in comparison with others. Emotions not distorting events/plays in relation to others. That's why keeping an even keel mentally is emphasized the rational mind remaining engaged at "highs" and "lows". The closer one is to capturing a lead and maintaining one by slim margin the more difficult it is. For individual players and for a team as a whole both. That's where we struggle most. The more emotions are effectively managed and the more we experience these junctures successfully the better we'll be at it. This or that happened and we overcame anyway and won. We sort of lose our bearings when we need to recognize that it's just part of the game remaining focused on what we can control then DOING it more and more consistently.
  19. There were occasions where that was the case. Adrian and his strengths and weaknesses. The offensive line play brought out his vulnerabilities. It's not like he wasn't imperfect or his play didn't have anything to do with it. In truth, BOTH his performances and the offensive line performances contributed to inconsistent execution. Throw in some errors by receivers every once and a while and it all adds up.
  20. We have some talent now and it's needing to be developed. My understanding is that they've been working hard. I'm excited about Haarberg in particular. It could be Ward, Thompson or another that ends up here.
  21. We might land someone yet that's a good fit and is interested.
  22. Gotta have some mobility for sure.
  23. Associate Head Coach - Wide Receivers/Passing Game Coordinator https://huskers.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/mickey-joseph/8322 There was some confusion arising out of some of the earlier reporting that included recruiting coordinator.
  24. Heinrich Harrberg could be something really special for us although he hasn't had the development and is in the process of correcting some accuracy issues. We've got some talent but we really need to snag a good one for a year and from a competition aspect.
