I get it but like I said before, do you honestly feel that he has a legit fair shot of staying on as the head coach bc of situation he was put in? I don't no matter how much I like him and think he would be a great hire to keep kids from not transferring out.

I don't predict anything bc I don't know. Can Nebraska please have a coach in place soon? If the season isn't already long bc of what has transpired, the coaching search already feels like its going to drag on for months. Months and months of speculation and wishing and predictions. Boy do I love college football and everything that it involves.

If you tend to believe it. For me I think losing definitely ages you faster.

Broadcasters have talked about teams should try and go get sun belt head coaches bc of how much success they been having. He's 61 rn so nobody knows how many years he has left to coach or if he wants to step up in competition. SF looked energizer when he got here by the time he left, he looked worn down and old and he isn't even 50 yet lol.

If you were rooting against Northwestern this season then that's a positive bc they got beat by Miami of Ohio today!!!! Smh

Wow never heard of him but his overall record is 103-3. Yes I know people are going to question who he has gone up against but winning is winning. He's 36-5 at James Madison which is impressive to me. He will get hired by a power 5 program eventually but I definitely would like to keep a eye on him more through out the season to see if Husker Fans would accept him.

I understand that the coaches are trying to keep their recruits informed but I don't believe any recruits are going to commit to the program until we have a head coach set in stone and not a intern head coach.

If people thought its a tough pull to grab Urban I think its even tougher to pull Kalen Deboer away Washington in his first season there.

Its funny to me after watching K-State beat Oklahoma with Adrian Martinez playing his best game ever as a college player. Alot of Husker Fans definitely are throwing shade at SF. His legacy is that he was to loyal to his UCF coaches and he didn't bring enough hogs to protect his star qb. I think that with all this animosity towards SF he might never come back here. I respect what he did as a player but hopefully he goes to Alabama to learn not to do a onside kick while your team is fighting for wins. Hopefully he gets a chance to become a head coach later in life.

Kinda feel that since MJ was handed the trash from SF that he should be receiving more then 200k if he were to win the big ten. Really a slap in the face.

Wow I'm actually kinda shocked you would say that about Deion Sanders. Yes he may be flamboyant but in his very short coaching career he has had success. When you are 18-5 overall as a coach your doing something right yes I know your going to say the competition he is facing are cupcake teams bc their not power 5 teams but he can only control how his team is playing which to me is fundamental sound. I do feel kids gravitate towards his presence and his disciplinary manner and whoever does decide to take a chance on him they are getting a winner.

It definitely would be great if Nebraska did that. I'm torn bc I feel like even if it was 9 million or 9.5 that could maybe entice him but then I think how much is enough to win here? How much would Nebraska have to spend in your eyes to bring him here?

How much do you think the athletic department would be willing to spend on him and his staff? Would you pay Urban Meyer 10 million to coach here or way lower? 10 million to pay a coach is alot but not really when you look at with how much more money Nebraska could draw off of his last name. I believe the majority of the fans would be excited if he were to come here.

Texas is on the right track right now so I don't see that position opening up and yes Auburn's job more then likely will open up but one could make the point that bc of what Nebraska has to offer it could potentially be a better job. Now on to my next point, I absolutely feel that the fan base would be excited to hire Aranda from Baylor and would have no problem selling tickets for the upcoming season and as for Campbell while I do feel certain Husker fans would be excited for him as well I think it will probably be more of a struggle for him to have Husker nation fully support him and the hire.

Anybody still holding out hope that Urban Meyer could still come? Nothing is final until the next coach is presented or it gets leaked who we are hiring.
