  1. Chadwell's resume: 2000–2003 East Tennessee State (QB/RB/TE) 2004–2008 Charleston Southern (OC/RC) 2009–2011 North Greenville 2012 Delta State 2013–2016 Charleston Southern 2017 Coastal Carolina (OC/QB/interim HC) 2018 Coastal Carolina (AHC/OC/QB) 2019–present Coastal Carolina Stick a fork in us, we'd be done. Alberts going full Eichorst on us if he is serious about this.
  2. This one is even more of a head scratcher. Would be extremely dissaponting to end up with a G5 coach who has no experience or understanding of how to win Midwest football games.
  3. Sell me on Aranda. I literally don't see it. Educate me.
  4. I feel like the offense is more of a potential win now, and the defense is the land of the misfit toys. really sums up the stubborness and tunnel vision of Frost. To have workable pieces on the offense, and barely G5 level talent on the defense in year 5.
  5. Finally found it... Benning [Referring to the events of Sunday]: "Yesterday was about two things. I think yesterday was about a meeting of two folks going a little different than I think its intent was designed. That was the first one in the morning. And I think the other one is how does he [Alberts] give the student athletes the most hope. The second one being bigger than the first one, but the first one is...if folks are almost daring you, you have to send the message. And it may cost you $7.5 million reasons why you have to send the message, but it is what it is." I think its pretty telling your hunch about Frost tanking might very well be in the ballpark of accurate.
  6. In any case, I just hope we see some emotion on the sideline. I think Mickey will bring it.
  7. Benning started to reveal there for a brief moment was a morning meeting that did not go well but of course that was all we got.
  8. Damon Benning is such a tease when it comes to revealing secrets. He always goes on the cusp of letting something out and then goes on a Matthew McConaughey existential monologue to stop himself. Like apparently Frost's morning meeting with Trev wasn't entirely intended to be what it was but Frost pissed off Trev. I don't doubt Frost acted like a d-bag on purpose pretty much since the restructure.
  9. Can Mickey at least do what Callahan did against USC in 2006...somehow bogart the football possesion without gaining any yards and keep the opponent's score below 30 points? I'd take that if he doesn't have time to prepare for the game.
  10. It's a bit of relief to read this but I feel like he's Trev's wet dream
  11. I think Narduzzi would be slightly underwhelming. He's older and has sub .600 winning percentage which is worse than most candidates on the odds list, and if he stayed five years - I think we would make a bowl for 3 of those seasons. It could be worse than Narduzzi, but it would feel underwhelming and I think we'd have some seasons where we just squeak into a bowl and the fans' behinds would be puckered a bit too much for comfort. He's a bit too susceptible to some roller coaster seasons I don't think it's worth the time to look into him much.
  12. In no particular order: Urban Meyer PJ Fleck Jeff Monken Troy Calhoun Matt Campbell HM: Luke Fickell
  13. 100% It's why this year a coach annonomously said "We call it the all-bus team because they look better than anyone else in the West pregame. Long, long dudes, really athletic, and then after a quarter or so, you stop worrying because they usually were hurting themselves." Literally not one team in the Big 10 adjusted to Nebraska. They just rode out the storm and won simply by sticking to their gameplan. Whoever this coach is that said it, literally confirmed Frost would be outcoached simply by the other coach not making any changes to their gameplan. Mind-blowing.
  14. Does anyone think Jeff Monken could make it work?
  15. I was trying to give off a vibe of not caring about what Lavonte did or didn't do on SNF. i don't think I am articulating it well. I'd like to move on from the topic because I don't think it came across very well and if it is a terrible opinion, I don't want to waste any more space or comments about it in the thread.
  16. I don't think my opinion is negative. More of a "that's nice. we have other work to do." I don't dislike him and am very happy he's had a great career.
  17. Agreed - I'm a die hard fan. Loyal to the bone. And I am afraid to swing big with this program anymore. I just want to win 6-9 games a season to remove embarrasment of being a fan of this program. To me,this is proof the bar is low. I'll be content with someone who just does the job and does it with as little excitement as possible.
  18. Maybe I am feeling scorned, but going back to a bowl consistently sounds nice. And removing ourselves from potshots in the national media would be good. that said, I agree and acknowledge it's not the solution people are looking for. Part of me knows it's not the solution I crave as well.
  19. Not surpised. I think it will be Matt Campbell. basically a 60% winning percentage coaching in the FBS. Expect 6-8 wins a season.
  20. His call what he wants to do, but don'tneed people like him right now if he did.
  21. I said it in another thread...I think three things are obvious form the decision today: 1) The least of Nebraska's problems is money. It isn't even a problem. And a good bet a booster(s) said here's the money, let's go get it done. The school has all the resources it needs forthe head coaching search 2) There are a key core of players who believe in Mickey...and perhaps a few other assistants... 3)Trev and Mickey/other coaches feel they can still salvage somehting. There could be 3-5 winnable games and that means alot to the players right now. I feel like these are obvious form the events of today. Basically I am agreeing with you and not surprised the announcement of Mickey may have juiced up some players.
  22. I honestly feel like this exact comment is part of why Trev is acting now. The season was lost under Frost. There is something to fight for under Mickey.
  23. So for the smart people in this thread, this was a bad move? I'm not seeing it as stupid. I think Trev is acting swiftly to quell bad images and give the team a chance to fight for something this season.
  24. I also think this means two things: 1) There is a core of players on this team that believe in Joseph/Whipple/Applewhite....maybe to a certian extent Raiola 2)Trev and Mickey believe tere are 4-5 winnable games still remaining on the schedule. No way we have a chance accomplishing that with Frost
  25. Whether or not this is the reason, the message this sends to the fan base is "we don't need an extra $7.5 million back in our pocket to hire a competent head coch." So Trev, whatever the reason it is that you made this decision today, I hope you can back u the actual message it is sending to us the fans.
