  1. Anyone else notice that this defense got noticeably slower and dumber once Robinson came in the game? But sure pull out the freshman with multiple sacks the first half. Robinson is the defenses liability. How many times have we seen him commit bone headed penalties to extend key drives? Sims, the offensive liability, wouldn’t start for any B1G team. Watched his film from GT when I heard he was coming here…I never dreamed he would actually get the starting job. His games at GT were eerily similar to what we are seeing here. Decent drives out to midfield then sputters and either stalled out or turned it over. He’s garbage. The fact that Rhule didn’t see these issues and has seemingly pulled a ScoFro by hitching his wagon to a horse that continually self destructs makes him equally garbage.
  2. The more I see of Rhule the more I’m convinced he was a used car salesman in another life.
  3. Well, at least we didn’t lose how we always lose. It almost feels good to get blown out, almost…
  4. True to form, offense finally does something, defense decides its time to take a break…SMH
  5. RIP. Some of the worst football I’ve ever seen. Scholars will be rolling this film out 1000 years from now as an example of how to outplay another team and still lose
  6. The husker fan in me says we win. My brain tells me we are going to lose the same way we always do. Until they do otherwise, I’m going with muh brain.
  7. Put Coleman and some of these other young receiver/ ATH out there. Not like our starters were getting open. Put some speed out there to stretch the d a little. Pound the rock and mix in some playaction. Get the ball in Irvin JR, Kemp, Fidone and Coleman’s hands. We have a real shot at winning this game.
  8. It’s a huge game no doubt. Win and we can get the monkey off our back and show that Nebraska football deserves respect and we can roll that into a nice little season, maybe get to a bowl game. Lose like how we lost to Minny….how we lose to everyone frankly…everyone will know two things… the complete tear down and replacement of a loser football program thing actually works, and we are in for one 2023 season. As for being a joke? The Huskers will never be a joke, you can’t take away what this team has done over the years. Here’s to hoping they win
  9. I’m not in the “will Rhule make it to year four” camp, but I definitely question if Raiola and Satterfield will
  10. I’m not upset or mad with anyone on this board….that would be irrational. I just saw a lot of condescending comments toward anyone calling this staff out and calling a spade a spade. Is it subjective to say, what the f#&% did we just see? Is it subjective to be disappointed the staff didn’t fix the things that are very fixable, ie procedural errors, getting the ball to the right personnel, setting Simms up for success instead of forcing him into situations he doesn’t do well. is it subjective to say 6 or 7 wins is unlikely with the way we played against a mediocre Minnesota team? For the record I’m not in the will Rhule make it to year 4 camp, but I think it’s very objective to question if this team will be successful if what cost us the Minny game isn’t fixed, and more importantly, can it be fixed. Just my objective opinion, and if you equate that to negativity fine by me.
  11. I think it’s fair to say “ hey this is a moral victory, everyone said we were going to lose this game and we almost won.” (Although if moral victories were worth anything we would be National Champions) I think it’s also fair to say “hey we werent supposed to win that game but any other team that was in a position to win as we were, would have found a way” It is indeed the first game, and under most circumstances a grace period for the team and new staff should be observed. This is not most circumstances. This was an unacceptable loss because it was business as usual for Husker football. Nothing the staff said they were going to iron out in the off-season came to fruition. Being sick and tired of what we saw on Thursday is NOT a knee jerk, the sky is falling reaction. This has been a slow steady half decade burn to the dumpster fire we just witnessed. So let’s stop with the gaslighting of fans who are fed up with the same ole turd sandwich. Nebraska (aside from the defense) has shown us nothing to justify us giving them time or the benefit of the doubt.
  12. I’ll always be a husker fan, but myself and many others are tired of getting pissed down our backs by this “team/program” and fanboys telling us it’s rain.
  13. All completely reasonable and logical, that’s why we will never do it.
  14. Yep, that’s what a properly managed game looks like. RIP Nebraska football
  15. This is why I don’t really have the patience to give Rhule the benefit of the doubt. We are seeing in real time that a team can be turned around in one offseason. Rhule and Sat better pull their heads out of their asses and do something about this offense, like yesterday.
  16. We are going to get rolled. Not because Colorado has more talent, (which is debatable) but because they are better coached. I hate to say it but it’s the objective truth.
  17. Hardest thing about this it wasn’t that we lost. It’s how we lost. We finally put a drive together at the end of the half and can’t score on the goal line….WTF?! we come out the second half and put together a drive with the run game and a little play action, so we decide that worked, so not gonna do that anymore. Lets just throw it every down….WTF?! with the game on the line, don’t give it to ervin, give it to the guy that is known can’t hold on to the football…WTF?! for all intent and purposes we were in control for more than half the game and we still s#!t the bed. this is not a be patient they will figure it out situation here, this is a systemic cancer imbedded deep in this program that is on life support, time to pull the plug.
  18. Nothing, it’s like watching a worse 2022 team. AGAIN the defense holds an opponent under 20 points. AGAIN our limp d!(k offense can’t score enough to win a game that was VERY much within reach.
  19. That was some of the worst offense I’ve seen from both teams. It was like watching Iowa…playing themselves
  20. I was thinking the same thing about the Wisconsin game… this goes back to what I said previously that Nebraska has an uncanny ability to not play complimentary football or like you said executing when it counts. They just can’t. I’ve never seen anything like it. Heck if Rhule can get the d and the o to play well at the same time consistently and situationally execute, we go bowling. I don’t know, not saying the defense was great because they weren’t, but the offense left me with more “what the actual f#&%” moments than all of my years of watching husker football combined.
  21. Mirage or not (and I’m not disputing the rankings and stats you cited, although I think that those numbers would have been much better if the offense could sustain a drive for more than a minute and a half and get the defense off the field for a bit) they were holding teams to mid/ high teens and low twenties on the scoreboard. For any offense that’s not DOA that is enough to win games. The defense did their job. The offense did not
