    NFL 2023

It'll be close for at least 3 quarters. Campbell will have this team playing the underlion(dog) card and put up a great fight and won't quit early, and the niners aren't 'explosive' they are maulers and wear you out to create big plays late. They will wear them down and eventually crack a big play but it'll take a while. Though I did look, Lions/9ers play each other in the regular season next year, so there's still a chance it could be in 2024, especially since the niners will be a vastly differnt team next year due to the cap.
  2. I had to look up who she was, and I can understand safety concerns, but then that's on the university (and part of Title IX) to provide safe learning environments for the students. Title IX specially spells out that the institution must remove the cause, not remove the student. So if Livvy, or any student, was justifiable unsafe in a class or campus, instead of removing the person from the class or campus, the institution is to remove the person(s) causing the student to feel unsafe. We had an issue very similar while my oldest was in middle school. She was getting some unwanted sexual comments from a male classmate, she brought it up to school counselor and principle. We had a meeting and the principle said he would be willing to move my daughter to the other team to help her feel safe. I told him, that's fine, but be prepared to lose the lawsuit on that decision. My daughter doesn't get uprooted, have to rearrange her schedule, not see her friends that she made on this team so as not to disrupt the schedule of the male verbally assaulting her. You move him, and if you can't move him, you remove him. I'm sure the principle made a few calls to verify what I said, and said student was switched to the other 'team' in the school that afternoon.
  3. Maybe the HC should ask someone in his family if he's attended a physical class. For some reason, I feel this should be a requirement for being able to compete for said school, have to attend classes in person. I know because of COVID, all of classes have online options, but to never attend...C'Mon Man. https://www.si.com/college/colorado/buffs-social/shedeur-sanders-has-never-taken-a-class-on-campus-and-missing-out-according-to-coach-prime He does also ask a great NIL question: When was the last time you saw any college athlete (except that stupid Dr. Pepper Commerical with Caleb Williams) in some sort of advertising? Bring it closer to home, besides DaColdest, for ACs, have you seen any Huskers having their Name Image or Likeness used for anything or any Creighton basketball players. Maybe because I'm not in Lincoln I don't see it for Huskers, but I'm in Omaha and I never see anything for Creighton basketball players, and I know they all have NIL deals. It's become legal bribery where the athletes are getting a bag, but not for the right reason. They should be getting compensation from the NCAA and not boosters.
  4. Minter is leaving, joining the Chargers per reports.

    NFL 2023

It'll be a Sunday, not sure what year, but it won't be in 2024.
  6. A co-worker, her daughter played professional basketball in Europe. She lived on Santorini, an island just off Greece. Housing was paid, she had a Per Diem for food, plus her salary. From the stories she tells, she was living very well. She actually preferred playing in Europe vs playing in the WNBA. She was a rotation player in the WNBA, asked to be cut after her second year, lived full time in Greece for 8-10 years, and now back in the States with a very lucrative corporate law gig.

More tired of seeing the chefs win effect.
  8. The few that I know that are local drivers, these are there favorite stories.
  9. I was 100% this guy, never wore anything but Adidas, used to look down on anything but Adidas, except the occasional Puma, but only cause it was a brother company to Adidas. I grew up playing select soccer, and well, Adidas was the gold standard of boots in the day, and I was/am a huge Beastie Boys fan, so I only rocked Adidas, never rock Fila, did not sniff the coke only smoked the sinsemilla... , then I started working somewhere where I get a large variety of Nike shoes and gear at wholesale cost...and well, now I've got nothing but Nike gear in my closet as do my daughters and we are all getting compliments and asking where we are finding our limited edition kicks. I just got 2 pairs of reverse grinches this week for $95 each, a great deal when considering what they are going for on the secondary market. Got a pair of the Philly Special Kobe 4s about a month ago, and I don't think they are being released, even as a limited drop on SNKRS, until April.
  10. I believe, if he does win a SB, he would be #4. Jimmy Johnson, Pete Carroll and Barry Switzer are the first 3 to have done the double.

Very impressive stat for him and the Walrus. I just don't see them having enough consistent weapons on the outside to put fear in the Ravens. No deep threat, no quick slot type receiver, it's Kelce (who himself has been very inconsistent this year) and a bunch of C-listers at WR. Chefs have a great D, but I think they will get worn out and the Ravens pull away end of third quarter and win by double digits.
  12. Can vouch, bought a new car a few months back, my only 'requirement' was a heated steering wheel.

    NFL 2023

Four really good games this weekend, and IMO, all 4 better teams won. Next weekend will be a real struggle for the road teams. I see home teams winning and a rematch in the SB.
  14. He may want to wait a few days before committing. I bet people in Dallas and Philly wouldn't mind talking to him soon.
  15. I can see that Washington number jumping in the next few weeks.
  16. Overall I'd say Rhule and staff did great. While I would have liked to have either kept Purdy or gotten a portal QB just for experience and depth, I can't complain about the apparent talent these guys brought in and filled a lot of the needs between HS recruiting and the portal.
  17. WR Isaiah Bond is the first to go into the portal. Very fast, from GA. I'm sure will have plenty of options. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39294423/alabama-isaiah-bond-1st-portal-nick-saban-retired

This seems like really not good for Eagles fans. Rumors of all not being well in the locker room may be true.

Philly is going to struggle with Tampa, Hurts has a dislocated finger on his throwing hand that takes 3-4 weeks to heal (if he doesn't need surgery), AJ Brown has a hurt knee, Da'Vonte Smith has an ankle sprain and is doubtful for the game. The offense is bland and predictable with the new OC and has made Hurts regress this year, they demoted their DC about a month ago, not sure if it improved the D or not. It's hard to tell because they are dealing with a lot of injuries in the back 7 and not a lot of depth in the front 4. They just aren't as good as last year. Tampa sucks, but it'll be a struggle for an Eagles team in a tailspin right now. NFC Championship game will sadly most likely be Dallas at San Fran. San Fran's defense, if healthy, will shut them down again. And if CMC's ankle is OK, they will steamroll the NFC. AFC, Ravens will steamroll everyone.
  20. Great podcast. As is Crime in Sports. My only issue with STM is how long it is. Typical episode is over 2 hours. Rarely have time to listen to an episode start to finish. Another one of my favorites is Star Talk. It's Neil DeGrasse Tyson's podcast. Learn so much from that one, and find it very interesting.
  21. anyone start season 2 of Reacher? I liked season 1, probably start season 2 once the house calms down from the holidays.
  22. Reportedly an Ohio State staffer had access to Maryland's files. Accessed it multiple times, accessing it weekly. Was able to watch their practices and get their signals. Maryland found out as SMU (back in 2022 when SMU was to play Maryland) told them that someone at Ohio State offered them the information. Maryland than notified Day about it. Day said he would handle it and no one knows what happened with the staffer that had access to it, or even who it was that had access.
