  1. How did that Stanford running back get so many?
  2. I'll be damned if we're not going to at least get the big guy one vote in the heisman polling! Onward to number 1!!!!
  3. Oh like we haven't all stolen an ambulence before...
  4. I agree we are the better team and I feel confident however the missouri game didn't seal the deal for me due to weather. Say what you will...it's hard to backpeddle in sloppy rain and I think that's why there were so many holding/blocking penalties on both sides. I would not be shocked if TT beats us by 14. I wouldn't be shocked if we win by 35 either. Our defense will be up to the task but we still don't know how good/bad tech's offense is. Who has shut them down yet? Don't mistake it for pessimism. Just curious to see the results. Not a Florida atlantic curious but a missouri curious if that makes sense. I believe we are mentally stronger as well which as we saw thursday was a huge difference as missouri folded easily with a little pressure.
  5. Wisconsin really didn't stink it up. They had two pick sixes and held OSU to one touchdown. The score came out lopsided but it was from special teams and defensive scores....that said....yeah I don't know...
  6. Yeah it's tough to rank em. I do think that callahan showed a lot more warning signs (inconsistent play and not being able to win games with the talent he had...the defense in 04 was still returning plenty of nfl calibur talent).
  7. The more i think about it...could switch pinkel/mangino with leach/gundy.
  8. I'm with junior. 1. Bill Snyder (sorry you can't convice me that many coaches could've done what he did back then when the doormats didn't have the advantages of scholarship limits.) 2. Bob Stoops. Guy took the talent there and coached it to a title in 2 years and has pretty much always (with the exception of a few years) been the favorite to win the big 12 since then. 3. Bo Pelini...consistent winner, defensive mastermind able to turn our defense around twice! 4. Mack Brown (hard to even put him here. 1 title and sooooo much bloody talent that always finds a way to play down to it's competition except for one year) 5 & 6. Mark Mangino & Gary Pinkel 7 & 8. Mike Leach, Mike Gundy....flashy offense but no consistency 9, 10 and 11. Toss up btwn Mike Sherman and Art Briles and Paul Rhodes (verdicts still out although they all are making strides) 12. Dan Hawkins....no consistency whatsoever...
  9. NU's offense was also more consistent last year (of course that was from this TT game onward).
  10. http://my.journalstar.com/post/Husker_Extr..._no_excuse.html
  11. Oh come on. The pose just looks funny. I could post some pics of myself getting caught on camera at the wrong time. Didn't mean to offend anyone. Sorry. I guess I just don't understand why some people are off limits to humor. I guess I just see us all as equals.
  12. You know what though....why not? If other pollsters can tout Penn state at the beginning of the season...
  13. I can't see Missouri getting a nod into a BCS game. There has to be another team out there. Remember KU only had one loss the year they went to the BCS and it was a close one to Missouri. Suppose Oregon loses to USC in a close one but wins the rest. That's a likely pick. Possibility of OSU or PSU to go from big 10 due to fan following. I mean when Missouri lost in the Big 12 championship that year, it was such a close call btwn them and a one loss KU. Anything is possible but there's my thoughts.
  14. Maybe we'll get to the end of the season and all of these qb's will have gaudy numbers ...except for one game.
  15. Well in Lee's defense the weather was bad and he had harrassment in the tech game so he's a pocket passer unlike ganz who seemed to get more comfortable and accurate on the move. I still see it as a long shot for us to LOSE the north. Missouri needs us to lose 3 times! (don't see missouri beating Texas and Ok st). KU has to beat us, OU, Texas, TT and Missouri (and colorado). Good luck to that. What games are left that we won't be favored in? Maybe Oklahoma depending on what happens from now till then. Our offense has issues but our schedule is a huge advantage to us now that missouri is 2 games down to us (we hold the tie breaker)
  16. Yeah ok. For some reason I was thinking you had to win the conference to go to a BCS(non championship) game.
  17. "I like the D's chances better against statues" Very nice... I agree Texas is over rated and I still think KU may have some issues in boulder this weekend. You just never know with colorado...
  18. That is one embarrassing article. The rain hurt us more and I was surprised by that. I wonder what this same douche said back in 03 when missouri rallied to score 27 in the 4th to win that game. "Missouri clearly showed it was the better team through 4 quarters...." After reading that Mangino quote...ku is toast. Coach just called out his defense as a fraud. We'll see how they respond. I'm betting not well. They play inspired but when things start going bad, they'll throw in the towel..."coach is right, we suck." We'll see. It's very clear that this guy is just pissed at losing. He's just trying to remove the sting. Too bad he's actually in charge of writing newspaper articles cause he is making a fool of himself. I mean gee whiz the defense shut down missouri and all that hype they brought into the game. I still can't believe pinkel and mangino are his star coaches of the north. Newsflash!!!! Nebraska went 9-4 in their coach's first season and tied with missouri from the north while soundly beating kansas. They won every game they were favored in. And what's this lack of imagination talk? Sigh. I'm just going to leave that alone.
  19. Thought you were saying the injury had no effect on the game cause that was my point that it did. Guess there's no difference of opinion there. Apparently we feel the same way because you say bordering on elite. That's what I'm talking about. I have lofty expectations. When I say the jury is still out on the pass defense I'm talking about Elite. I agree they're fine and the defense as a whole is very very good. Unquestionably the strength of the team and I don't think there's a better one in the conference. I'm thrilled about how our defense is playing. We'll see if Bo hands out the blackshirts this week.
  20. Um actually Gabbert ran for a first down their first series so he wasn't able to do that later on. And snakebitten....are we going to proclaim missouri's defense as amazing because they shut down our offense. Our first score we earned it but had a big play with a breakdown in coverage and our next two scores came from short fields. So unless we're ready to say that the missouri D is pretty good, we better hold judgement on our pass defense. If you can't see the rain affected both offenses, then I don't have anything else to say. I'm just being realistic. I'm optimistic about this game against Tech. I expect us to win. But I don't see a blowout. Anything can happen.
  21. The experiences i've had with Missouri fans has always been poor. I'm very curteous and I take other people's feelings into account with this stuff. I don't understand why we gloat about a win. We can celebrate and enjoy but why do people enjoy other's misery? Don't get it. So don't lump me in with the crowd that taunts and is mean. It's not that I feel I'm "better" or "classy" it's just I never understood the purpose or saw it as fun to put others down.
