Yeah I was disappointed to hear that too. (the chants)...Of course we don't know how obnoxious the Missouri fans around them might have been for 3 quarters. (still no excuse but it's a little more tempting to push back) As far as fans leaving the Oklahoma state game....I really think fans were making a statement to the current administration. I remember reading articles talking to season ticket holders that had never walked out before (and they had been going for I think it was well over 20 years). The real question is...how many left during last year's missouri game?

Yeah when Woodson won the Heisman he was playing reciever and returning kicks too. Offense wins the Heisman. It's a flashy award for flashy players.

This game concerns me. Still not sold on our pass defense. Plus tech's backup qb is more mobile than Potts. That could be the difference. Missouri was limited in their passing attack due to weather and I believe that also had something to do with all the holding penalties on both sides (easier to attack in the rain then backpeddle). I also feel rolling up Gabbert's ankle in the second series had an impact. I think our offense can get rolling on these guys but I think we'll still give up our share of short passes that move the chains. This game's a toss up to me. I do feel like we win this one and nobody will catch us in the North. I can see KU losing to TT, OU, and Texas (maybe missouri and colorado...yes I know...) Missouri has to have us lose an extra game to catch us but they have to beat Oklahoma st and Texas. Drop one of those and we would have to lose 3 times. (OU, CU, KU would be the best possibility of that and I'm only concerned with OU)

Wow and I thought we had lofty expectations. I think we're a little more realistic. Had we closed the deal in Blacksburg I might agree with this assessment but LSU's defense was good but couldn't score points against another good D and look what happened. I think we are hands down the favorite to go to the Big 12 championship game but that's as far as it goes right now. And I still don't understand how Texas and Nebraska could earn a BCS birth considering we would have 2 losses in his scenario. (Texas couldn't possibly play for the title if we beat them).

I just don't think a playoff answers anything and it would certainly make each game less important. Right now you win out in a major conference and you'll be playing for the title 99 times out of 100. Playoff would require that team to win more when they have already earned the right to play for the championship. You'll start seeing even more 2 loss teams winning championships that way. And I have no problem with everything set up this way because the fact is in 07 the strength of schedule rewarded LSU. We'll just have more creampuff games to start the season so a team can make the playoffs (a lot like weaker teams do to become bowl eligible)

Let me rephrase that. Considering their record last year and the fact that they are competitive in almost all of their games so far, I am impressed. Their team is still not impressive but ISU fans have gotta like the progress.

Regardless what happens here... I would think we are the one team from the North that Oklahoma and Texas don't want to play.

That's what Bo and the coaching staff are for. We can dream big.

Not to mention the 5 helmet to helmet hits that Mizzou had before they finally called that one on the option Zac Lee pitched it. Yes! Glad I wasn't the only one that noticed that. Each option pitch Lee got slammed up high with the headgear.

That's the thing. The schedule is brutal. They have no defense. By the way, how many head coaches in the big twelve are defensive minded like ours? What a recruiting advantage that is. Anyone can grab some playmakers and sling the ball around (ala texas tech) but it takes defense to win big. Show me one big 12 champ that didn't have a good defense. Now that Nebraska is done with the coaching carosel, the other north teams will probably just fall back into place. Someone had to take the top spot while NU was down but no one could. CU and missouri were the only teams to get to the title game after kstate collapsed and NU walked away from everything. No one could capitalize. It was just which team would get clobbered in the title game.

I don't think the playcalling was fine. The recievers were dropping balls and the punt return team was dropping balls and our qb was having a tough time throwing...all due to the weather! Plus we run the option? Are you kidding me. It's like Watson wanted to call every play that had the biggest risk of failure. The option worked once or twice but I was cringing each time (don't pitch, don't pitch...catch it catch it).

This was the second big game of the season and just like the first he was confident and praising his kids about their practices. As long as he keeps up the praise we can expect good things.

I'm actually impressed by ISU. Remember last week they lost a heartbreaker to Kstate. They came out swinging.

Why is crying too much? So the game isn't important enough to cry over but how about being upset over? Same thing to some people. We all deal with our emotions differently. My daughter crys and crys when she wakes up too early from a nap. My neighbor's girl just acts grumpy. It's just a different way to deal with emotions. I would never laugh at this kid or take pleasure in other people's misery. Maybe when there is justice being served but not everyday life. If you want the missouri fans to continue taunting and acting like jerks then keep doing what you're doing. I guess sportsmanship doesn't mean anything to you.

Yep the 16 points we surrendered is the lowest so far this season with the next closest being 24 by BAMA and the rest they've scored at least 31.

I'm amazed at the defensive inability of both teams.

I just love it. All that confidence and bragging....2 days later...not a week or a month. I don't think any Nebraska fans are surprised by this game are they? Any of us believe KU is a powerhouse?
