  1. Tomorrow they will have their linebacker list, and I'm interested if they will have any Huskers on their list. I think McKeon will be in the top 25, and by the end of the year so will Octavien.
  2. In CFN's continuing predictions of All-Americans, they have Adam Carriker as a second-team AA, and a top 5 DE overall in the country. Jay Moore also joins the top 20. Personally I think Carriker is a first-team AA, but it's great that Moore is getting some notice. Preseason 25 Best Ends 1. Quentin Moses, Sr. Georgia 2. Gaines Adams, Sr. Clemson 3. Lawrence Jackson, Jr. USC 4. Adam Carriker, Sr., Nebraska 5. Dan Bazuin, Sr., Central Michigan 6. Mkristo Bruce, Sr. Washington State 7. Victor Abiamiri, Sr. Notre Dame 8. Baraka Atkins, Sr., Miami 9. Tommy Blake, Jr. TCU 10. Brian Smith, Sr., Missouri 11. Tim Crowder, Sr., Texas 12. Larry McSwain, Sr., UAB 13. LaMarr Woodley, Sr. Michigan 14. Larry Birdine, Sr., Oklahoma 15. Chris Ellis, Jr., Virginia Tech 16. Ken Iwebema, Jr. Iowa 17. Jarvis Moss, Jr. Florida 18. Jay Moore, Sr., Nebraska 19. Chris Long, Jr., Virginia 20. Calvin Thibodeaux, Sr., Oklahoma 21. Brian Robison, Sr., Texas 22. C.J. Ah You, Sr. Oklahoma 23. Marquies Gunn, Sr. Auburn 24. Ray McDonald, Sr. Florida 25. Loren Howard, Sr. Arizona State
  3. But as bad as we have played against them in the past ten years, they haven't been this bad, while the Huskers are this good. I know the program has some demons against this team, but a lot of the big time players haven't been involved in a loss to KSU. I don't think we will have a problem with them. Sure I will take a win by any amount, but I think it will be a lot.
  4. That Texas game should be the game of the day, which could mean that Gameday will be there. If the Huskers win in front of the ESPN guys, there will be no way they can talk bad about them then.
  5. I think it would be great if we could play Iowa. Even if people want this game to have some recruiting areas, Iowa does. They're always producing big, strong lineman that are highly ranked by various recruting websites, so I think we could use this game for both a great rivalry game and good recruiting grounds.
  6. I think it's great that he's getting help from guys like the Mannings, and now that he has been doing it for the past couple of years, it will help him for the season. He is going to be a very exciting player to watch.
  7. See like you said. Are they worried about Nebraska...most likely not. I think that will play into Nebraska's favor, and they will come in and play their hearts out. I can't wait for this game. But you make a point on Texas. If we face them as an undefeated team, or a team that played USC well but lost, Texas won't overlook them at all. It will be interesting to see how the team does develop, and what kind of identity they have going into both of these games. Hopefully it is good.
  8. It would be fun to fill up South Bend again, the Sea of Red near "Jesus' House". Just another home away from home.
  9. I don't think our whole secondary is weak. The corners have a lot of experienced, and Bowman is on the rise. I think he'll have a good year. Our safeties are the one part of the D that I worry about. They haven't had a lot of playing time, so it will take a while to get the grasp of everything. Luckily they play some bad teams before the game with USC, so they can work all the kinks out.
  10. I think we will go 1-1 minimum vs USC and Texas, with the high possibility of going 2-0. Both teams will underestimate us, giving the Big Red the chance to go in for the kill. But if they lose a game to a north team, I will be really made.
  11. I think Andre Jones will be the real deal, and they will use him a lot throughout the season, and he will be seasoned by this game, so I think we'll see a lot of him. He has a lot of speed, so he should be able to contain the wide receivers.
  12. I think it will make the players go all out, but at the end I think the Huskers will win by 2-3 touchdowns. You make a good point with the good defense for them. Our offense should move the ball on them. This will be a fun game to watch.
  13. My school had homecoming that day like Nebraska, and that ruined the dance for most of my friends as well as me. We had the rest of the night to be mad. Some people even showed up late because of the game.
  14. Have you ever lived outside of Nebraska? I was born here but lived in Iowa, Oklahoma, and Michigan, before moving to Nebraska before the national championship season in 1997. Where have you lived the longest? Omaha, NE...9 years Where has been your favorite non-Nebraska place to visit/live? Grand Rapids, MI...small town...lots of friends up there Where is your ideal place to live? Omaha What is your current occupation? I'm a student in high school in Omaha, I'll be a senior this year What has been your best job ever? working at a radio station Worst job? working as a janitor Dream job? announcing football games for the Huskers What do you enjoy doing in your free time? atching, talking, reading anything about football, especially the Big Red Strangest/most interesting hobby, skill or personal anecdote? I'm only 17 but I'm getting pretty far in broadcasting. I'll be doing a lot of high school football games this year and I might even cover the Huskers vs Trojans game and the Super Bowl, so hopefully I'll be able to do that.
  15. With him and the receivers we have returning and coming in, this will be a potent pass offense this season. Those stats he had will definately go up with the WCO and Taylor throwing him the ball.
  16. I think as long as he gets protection from his line, he will be fine. He can have a big season, but the protection is what he really needs. After that, if he can have a running game backing him up, which I think they will, it can help him have a big season because it will set up the play action. I also can't wait for the season to start. It's gonna be fun.
  17. I can't wait for that game, just so we can stick it to them. I feel bad though for AE with all the crap he has to take from Prince if that stuff is true. I thought though that he would be all over Freeman, like it said...stopping practice and not criticizing. Carriker and co. will dominate him and his team. 40-3 'Skers.
  18. Yeah I meant snag, my bad. I'm sure he is nagged constantly already.
  19. That was the game where the quarterback's facemask was bent in all wierd directions. If anyone has the "Fourth Straight Big Eight" Husker video from that season go check it out. He got messed up.
  20. Apparently national media is taking notice of Zac Taylor. In CFN's Tuesday Question, columnist Richard Cirminiello talked about the Heisman ceremonies and said that Zac Taylor could be a player under the radar at the ceremonies. http://collegefootballnews.com/2006/TQ/Tue...ay_Question.htm
  21. Yesterday on the radio, someone said Wyoming. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but what makes Wyoming special that people want to have the Huskers play against them?
  22. If we played Ohio and somehow were upset, man I don't know what would happen. That would be crazy.
  23. Thanks guys, didn't mean to cause any trouble by not reading through the whole board. I'll do that next time. Thanks again.
  24. It looks like Herian has some national supporters. CFN has him listed as a honorable mention at TE. Looks like they think he will be back too. http://collegefootballnews.com/2006/Previe...lAmerica_TE.htm
  25. I think it would be interesting to go to an SEC game vs. the Huskers. They have the only fans in the country that are as passsionate as Husker fans, so it would be interesting to see. Those tickets would be tough.
