  1. Garret is loved out here. The only way he leaves the Cowboys OC gig is for a HC job.. in the NFL.
  2. I like Gill. I think it makes sense (hiring him). However, I'm down with whatever is best for Nebraska. It's Dr. Tom's decision.
  3. Ganz has very good pocket awareness. Better than Zach and Sam. Also, he has quicker feet, dropping back quickly and a little deeper in the pocket. The play can actually develop b/c of this, plus his mobility can buy a little more time to look up field. His release is quicker too. It's not a windup. And finally, I think he throws a very nice ball. It's not a laser or too soft. It's very catchable.
  4. Come on fellas. You all know what will happen... THE CORN WILL RIDE THE PIKLE!
  5. Well because reality shows do that thing that makes me puke. They air it. However, this would work. Unfortunatley, for drama purposes and ratings there will be shouting, backstabing, drinking, and late night hot tub action (eww coach on coach thing - gross). CMB, I hope you're happy now!
  6. If you compare bio's for Muschamp and Pelini, Muschamp has more college experience. According to the bio huskeraddict posted, Pelini's first College job was as D-coord for Nebraska in 03. Yah bro, I think I over looked some of the other places he was at. That's some pretty good experience. I would agree.
  7. rammer, jammer, yellow hammer! ... what does that mean, anyhow? Stop it!! Damn.
  8. 76-39. No. I dont think nothing. Ever. Gets more worse than that. Evah.
  9. Osborne will make a decision that best fits Nebraska......... with no regard for what others think about the situation. I think T.O. may have a preference for Turner Gill. But only time will tell. Exactly. And I hope that's what we all want as well - what's best for Nebraska.
  10. You are right, it is a big difference in what's at stake. I have heard this statement about Gill being lazy, but it's the same comment that gets repeated. I just try to take things fully into consideration. I think you do too. I just would prefer that it doesnt circle up a "Gill is lazy" argument/rumor blah, blah, blah. It might be warranted, it might not.
  11. Laziest? Come on man. If that's the case then my azz would have been fired long time ago. But once I'm working I'm doing my job very well. Please tell me you have more than just that. Please tell me it makes a difference b/c I show up 5 minutes before my basketball games that it affects my ability to drop 20 points on the other team, or not throw 4 TDS in flag football b/c the whistle is over and I'm ready to go have some cold beers and BS with the fellas and take home pretty girls. Please tell me that you have more than that, the "last to show, first to leave means lazy" analogy. Otherwise I"m the laziest SOB around.
  12. I hope we beat the snot out of both of them. Is tomorrow an 1130AM beer game again?
  13. I do not find anything wrong with what Gill said. Its more than fine with me when someone is humble and uses the Lord's name out of respect. I love God. So I guess some people are different.
  14. The wheels on the bus go round and round... When you think the drama cant get any worse, a new door is opened. So tired.. so tired of it all. 2 more games left. 2 more.
  15. I'll take a mobile QB with an accurate arm over an athlete QB. Feel the pressure in the pocket, move around & keep looking downfield, scramble for a first when needed. Not Zach Taylor mobile (if such a thing), but ............. Tony Romo type (as my example). Only runs when no one is open, and he usually finds someone downfield by creating space with his feet. I like the hybird selections CMB put out there. Although I dont think Stephen McGee or Pat White can do well if trailing by two scores & the running game is shut down. That's why I always prefer a QB that is more of a thrower than runner.
  16. This pretty much sums it up for me as well. And I will include being a good sport. As for the article, I hate to read and hear this kind of stuff. Even though the master spin doctor of words continues to preach "we are hurting, it hurts, when we're doing the best we can" gets old when searching out for sympathy, the actions and crap the families and kids recieve is pathetic.
  17. These guys dont know the difference yet. They only know Cally and their previous HS years. It'll change. I'm sure guys like Meno Holt, Niles Paul, Curenski, Culbert, and any other towel waver will appreciate a new start to actually do something besides pass out gatorade. The guys who stink up each Saturday and get their PT week in and week out, stand behind their coach.
  18. Yah, it would be great to beat the snot out of KSate. However, Okie State didnt have it all, nor did Ball State or Texas A&M.
  19. It's a nice perspective. Edge goes to Gill. The opportunities were there, Gill went to Buffalo and gave it a shot. He's doing good things as the head coach. He's learning about managing and dealing with everything. Pelini still only wants to test drive a mercedes without owning a license.
  20. In the NFL guys are older and you have smaller rosters. In college guys are younger and can recover much faster Plus you're talking about a 17+ week schedule vs. a 12 week schedule The NFL.. those dudes are million dollar investments. You cant afford someone to get beat up & injured during practice & misses a game.
  21. I havent heard anything like that, but I dont know all the rules of the NCAA. I'm sure that teams regardless of their success get investigated at some point or another. It usually begins when something fishy gets leaked, i.e., rumors.
  22. 1985-86 - Georgia Southern (OC) 1987-94 - Hawaii (OC) 1995-96 - Navy (OC) 1997-2001 - Georgia Southern (HC) 2002-Present - Navy (HC) Now that is some serious experience. He's also wearing an N on his shirt. Interesting...
  23. One year at Auburn, plus this year makes good experience? As a D-coordinator? I dont think so. Someday sure. Give him a few years and he'll be at Alabama.
