The coaches - yes. The AD has more than one responsibility - the entire athletics, not just football. I'm not a fan, just rationalizing. VB & Baseball are doing well.

Why wouldnt anyone run it against this defense? 6, 8, 10, 15 yards each carry.. even running between the tackles, makes no difference. Sigh... I'd gameplan it if I'm the opposing coach.

I expect... well, actually I just look foward to the game tomorrow. I am excited about watching it. NU football does that for me.

"Can the coach make a team better?" Yes. You can have all the best athletes in the world, but in my experience, it takes a coach to manage that team to bring out the best in the player, in the team. A great coach does not have to be a "my way or highway" type. A great coach is a motivator out of respect and appreciation. Not a "rah - rah" guy. But respect & understanding. Gets on your azz when needed, and can discuss it with you at the same time so you understand. And he has to have confidence. As a player, you want to feed off of that. And as a group (players and coach) it's all about the team to get to the ultimate goal. Win the ballgame at hand. Personally, I would run through walls playing for coaches like Bob Stoops, Bill Belichek, Jeff Fisher, Tony Dungy, Dr. Tom Osborne. They all have what I consider to be great.

Brotha dawg - I am right there with you on this. I enjoyed reading this. Count me in as TRUE Husker fan as well. BTW - I'm not an armchair QB, or someone with a little or random knowledge. I've played sports my entire life & still am. And I'm damn good <inserting my horn toot here>. I know what it takes. I considered my ability, experience and knowledge of the game to make me an expert, as according to the definition. Dont let anyone bring your opinions down. Just because neither of us is the head coach of this team today, we are rational fans, and are very much within our rights to critique (and criticise accordingly) this team and coaching staff. I would never want Pellini here. He has no head coach experience. That kind of stuff can happen at Iowa State, not here. And you see what happens when you hire a guy with just two years of HC experience (after getting fired in the NFL).
