  1. Always good to hear from former players. I enjoyed the entire article.
  2. Good stuff! "Six inches off the mark" ??... Damn. I dont know about all that. But yah he has good hands and is pretty reliable. I have no problems seeing him on the field.
  3. Coors light kicks azz and so does Stella Artois! I think there's opium n sh!t in it. Or something because it's a different buzz.

    Our next QB

ya he is a GIANT!! Gabberts femur btw I have watched this kid play ... he is in a totally different class from anythign else I have ever seen. Then hopefully he starts to show that in his games this fall, it sounds like he had been stinking up the place. Could you please elaborate on how he's been stinking up the place? I think we already have enough of that here now without bringing more wood in for the fire. How or what has he been doing to be considered stinking up the place? He's just being honest. And he's right. There are a few post out there about it. Look for a topic on him on how he his doing his senior year. It's all there. BTW - if history tells us anything, being a highly recruited player does not guarentee immediate playing time or success at the next level.
  5. Thanks for the article Rob. Good stuff!
  6. You did not inlcude the entire article from the link you posted. Apparently the players AND the coaches are not on the same page. Or else nobody approved of Bowman's gesture. So lame... Bowman, you'll recall, did not wear his Blackshirt on Tuesday. Nobody followed his lead on Wednesday; all others were wearing Blackshirts. What's interesting was Callahan's response to Bowman's move. When asked about what Bowman did, this is all Callahan would say: “That’s his statement. You’d have to ask him. I can’t speak for him.”
  7. Not sure why they even put a jersey on Javorskie Lane. He had 2 carries for 2 yards - the entire game (one carry in the third, one carry in the fourth). That's ridiculous.
  8. Could it be a trust issue with younger players? They might have more raw talent, make bigger plays, but also make more mistakes? Who knows the answer? Nobody does.
  9. I'm impressed by Callahan's remarks.
  10. LOL! Great topic title! Yes I concur - Grixby sucks less.
  11. Reading those - it's always good to hear that! Very cool! And it wouldnt be possible without such great fans!
  12. Keller was playing very well and got us a 10-7 lead. After the delay from the unfortunate injury, things didnt go as well.
  13. None of those punks. I would take Rich Rodriguez (West Va coach), or that dude from Rutgers, or Jeff Tedford from California or Jim Leavitt of South Florida. During the search - Coaches that had jobs already: Wannstedt said no. Al Saunders said no. Houston Nutt said no. Turner Gill and Bo Pellini were candidates that had no head coach experience & not seriously considered. Jobless coach: Callahan said yes. Hey, dont flame me unless you really feel better to do so. But disagree with me - sure I have no problem with that. BTW - it's not a coaching carrousel when you have a coach that wins. Because you keep him. If you dont win, you're on the hot seat until you do, or find one that can. And this is not how I am reacting to this past game. I've never liked Callahan since he was with the Raiders. I've always thought he was a little bit of pr*ck that came to Nebraska with 2 years of coaching experience in which he was fired. Hey, at the time I may have recommended him to Iowa State or something, but not run my business. Ok.. I said my peace.
  14. I dont have to read the article to know that. And I'm no genius. It was very obvious watching it on the tube. I kept thinking that they were affraid to step up and stick someone. The linebackers froze, and the secondary kept dishing out one arm tackle attempts. I'm sure reviewing the tape they all saw it. But that's over. It's Ball State time. GBR!
  15. Thats pretty cool. If he is a leader, the other fellas will follow. If they dont, it's because they wont consider him their leader. My reasoning is that, Bowman has not been on the field a lot with the rest of the group the past few years, right? You know, not battle tested over time. Throw in some of the guys that have a lot of pride in themselves (for whatever reason, i.e., "but I'm the pre-season all big 12 selection - I'm the leader"... whatever) and they leave him out by himself. Just my opinion if they dont follow his lead, that's why I think that. Pride. And nothing else. And I would be disappointed if they didnt. It's pretty clear what he is saying. What Bowman did is brilliant. They all need to do the same. They all need to be one & on the same page. Peace-OUT!
  16. Were you on this board before, and somehow got banned? Your obvious hate shows that you have nothing better to do on a Saturday night. No girlfriend, no date. Just hate for Nebraska... poor little man-boy... all alone... so small and sad. Poof - go away and worship your devil now.
  17. No offense to Keller, he played the best he could. Would be smart to get Ganz some reps in.
  18. 3rd and 10, they politely run it and we still cant stop them. Not good. It's only slowing down our comeback a little. GBR!
  19. This is not even a game any more. It's not even fun. I'm not happy with Callahan, Cosgrove, or the lack of talent on the field. Everything starts from the top down. But I still have to cheer them on.
