  1. No comparison. Yes, Suh wasn't the dominant player we all know him as till his junior and senior year, but at least he was able to play himself onto the field as a freshman and sophomore. Guy can't sniff the field and that's with zero depth at the position. There's obviously a reason for that.
  2. That was crazy! It doesn't get any more fluke than that.
  3. Figures we'd be up against 3 $EC schools.
  4. Gabriel Miller and Zach Hannon have been putting some work in with Cochran at the Semper-fi practices and we are still very much in the picture.
  5. Rivals lists him at 6'3" 265 with a 40 time of 4.98 and 4.5 shuttle for what its worth.
  6. No exact date, but its close: From the sound of things, Newby is already pretty certain of what his college choice will be and he is working out the logistics of his announcement ceremony. "I'm looking to announce it within the next couple weeks, and I'll find out the exact date probably later tonight or tomorrow maybe. I'm going to announce my decision publicly and do it at my school, so I'm just waiting to hear back what day is available for me to do it at my school."
  7. sounds very good indeed. Sending a bunch of coaches out to see him this weekend. We just might have done this. oh ya and here is a pic of Mora apparently meeting with San Diego president right before the holiday bowl. Even thou i think we would have pulled Newby anyway, this is going to help with a few others as well. Namely PW and Lacy +1 on the pic. I agree with you, think we would of got him anyway, but hopefully they do this soon before signing day so we can steal someone.
  8. After reading his latest interview with Mike Matya, I have no reason to believe he's not N. Think we hit the jackpot!
  9. They've finally realized that Lame Kiffin is a terrible head coach
  10. He has excellent taste in skull caps.
  11. What angers me about that whole situation is the spin put on by the commentators. The nerve of them guys to place the blame on Taylor for not getting out faster. What the hell. The SEC love fest and bias is out of control. I'm not defending the commentators, but I definitely saw their point. He was running hard, but than jogged it the last couple yards allowing the defender to catch up and make contact in bounds. If he keeps running he wouldn't of been hit or it would have been a penalty. Any defensive player worth his salt will put a legal hit on the QB every chance he gets. There were multiple dirty shots on Taylor at the end of that game. The commentators seemed to act like it wasn't even happening but so were the rest of our offense so to hell with it huh? If our own guys don't feel a sense of duty in protecting their QB and having each others backs then hel why should anyone else. That really rubbed me the wrong way. Where's the enforcers on this team? I guess we don't have one. Maybe next year well have some guys step up. Agree. The final sack of the game was tough to watch, but the problem was Georgia was doing their dirty stuff during a play, but when we'd do something (Jake Cotton) it was dumb and after the whistle.
  12. CJ is definitely tough enough to play safety. EZ says Rose has all but locked up a corner spot next year which probably puts SJB on the other side. Have to get get CJ on the field.
  13. The posts have been spot on. I was really proud of the team and not terribly disappointed by the loss. Maybe that's a losers way of looking at it, but who cares at this point I just ask that they play hard and be in every game.

  15. I agree with you on Ameer's fumble, it was eerily similar to last years S Carolina game because I think most of us agree that if we don't fumble that ball, we win that game too. As far as the overall turnover situation, I feel with Taylor its always going to be there and its something we're going to have to live with for another year. Husker fans just get used to it: Death, Taxes and Turnovers.
  16. Although we lost, I think that performance against a great football team would lead a recruit to think that we're just a few players away from being a legit contender. We showed that we could go toe to toe against an elite $EC team and I'm sure recruits noticed that.
  17. I'm such a sucker, I keep wondering why this is even a topic, but I can't keep myself from looking.
  18. Quit making stuff up. This is K-State's stadium with "Allen" photoshopped in the endzones. K State wishes their stadium was as nice as this. This is unbelievable for a HS stadium, I live in CA and we play good HS football over here, but not in anything even close to a stadium like that!
  19. If it weren't for the groin injury Heard's touches would have went up tenfold. The secondary is the last of our worries with the guys we have. Rose will start next year at one of the spots. Wondering why we didn't see more of SJB today. Charles Jackson is one tough s.o.b. I think he forces his way into the mix.
  20. I disagree. I know you've said that the coaches speak highly of King Frazier at RB, but do you know if he is able to play in the secondary? I ask this because if we were able to land Taylor and Newby it would make sense to move 1 or 2 current RB's to the secondary most likely Frazier and Heard. No way he could play in the secondary. LB would be a more suitable option, but i don't think it is likely Ok thanks, I wasn't sure how big Frazier was. Heard seems like a perfect fit for the secondary if we were to get the dynamic duo of Taylor and Newby.
  21. I'm assuming I completely agree I'm assuming Sayles is a safety valve at this point. If we keep missing on TE's he'll get an offer.

  23. Then i say get N already if you want a spot!!!!! This
  24. I can't complain, I thought we were going to get our heads handed to us, but we hung in there. Georgia is a damn good football team, congrats to them.
  25. Not going to hold my breath on him actually announcing on the 7th.
