  1. Good thing May wasn't on the show when he said it, otherwise Mark would've went crying to executives to fire the guy.
  2. I live in CA so obviously if I want to watch anything other than USC, I have to order the espn gameplan. It's pretty cool though because you get all the games in all regions. The SC game on Sep. 1st, isn't on abc so you don't have to worry about it being the national game.
  3. I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever get to see a healthy Cody Glenn!
  4. I really feel for Grixby, you really wish him well because he's a husker, but at the same time you can't wait for him to graduate.
  5. He will either play his mind out and get a shot at the NFL, or get injured...I think he knows this and who wouldn't go all-out for the shot at the big show? I couldn't agree more, the only way to truly come back from an injury is to play like you never got injured in the first place! No hesitation, no second thoughts, no fear! I pray he can do it because he can be a definite difference maker! GBR
  6. Agree 100%, I've always thought Grixby just doesn't have the instincts to be a very good CB. You can get away with it in high school and against inferior college WR's, but at this level he'll always be a step behind. I hope he proves me wrong or better yet I hope ZB comes back and he doesn't get a chance to.
  7. I'm expecting big things from him this year, we're really fortunate to have him and he's extremely fortunate to be a husker! GBR
  8. Thanks for the obiously thouroughly researched post, you made some really good points, I was in awe of your factual prowess, you should've stopped at "OK, I dont think", at least then you would've been correct. Sad thing is, I bet he spent about an hour thinking of that!
  9. At the risk of being redundant, I concur with AR, "anything can happen". Example: This week's regional SI had three Trojans on the cover. Before the week was over, one of them announced he was transferring to Okie St. This is before any action on the field. Wait till eveybody starts playing the game! What surprises await us this season? By the way, I don't think we will go undefeated, but I do think we have a great chance to be in the NC game like Florida last year. Who do I think has a shot at beating us? Nebraska, Cal and Oregon (as a long shot). Remember, only two teams have gone wire to wire as number one. It ain't easy to do folks. The odds are against it for anybody. Nice post tarheel, you actually make a lot of sense, but don't forget about UCLA!
  10. guys, you just can't argue with this assessment of what is out there for both teams. we could play this game 8 times and we would be lucky to win it once. we will need a ton of breaks to keep it close, yes anything CAN happen......the dog would have caught the rabbit if he hadn't stopped to take a sh#t!..same deal here. You should be ashamed of yourself!
  11. Thank you for being the voice of reason! NO TEAM is unbeatable. Do they have great talent and depth? YES, will we need to play a great game and hope for some breaks? PROBABLY YES, but Unbeatable? Absolutely Not! I'm tired of arrogant SC fans and even some husker fans on this very board thinking that us beating SC is UNREALISTIC! What's UNREALISTIC is them thinking they can't be beat!
  12. Obviously injuries at any position would be hurtful, but fortunately I think our secondary is in a lot better position this year than it was last year in terms of depth, talent & experience, but if we want to make any kind of serious run IMO at a BCS bowl we will need Keller and Lucky to stay healthy! Regardless of how you feel about Ganz, Keller is big time QB who can take us to the next level this year and Lucky seams to have his head on straight (assuming Erickson didn't cause any permanent damage) with a lot to prove and with Glenn being injury prone with freshman backups, Lucky will be key.
  13. Agree 100% Let's not forget that this a "what have you done for me lately" world we live in. We'll get the respect we deserve when we start deserving it again. Look at USC, They've earned their respect back, you almost forget that they were non-existant for over 20 years.
  14. Sorry, I had the whole list of lines on a sheet, but I left it in the hotel room like an idiot
  15. Just bought 4 tickets on stubhub for $500 after reading these posts, especially Husker X, man that dude gets me pumped up! I'll be coming from CA for the game and I've never been to a game in Mizzery, is there anything I need to know? Like will it be safe to bring the wife and kids or should I just bring the fellas so we have a fighting chance?
  16. The ACC is so weak, it needs to have it's BCS bid taken away!

Reading comments like that just makes me get this feeling again. I think this team is going to shock the football world this year. I know every good fan is supposed to think that, but it's more than just Xs and Os and star players. It's the whole attitude, the vision. Instead of complaining about the constant lack of respect, they're doing what men do. They put their head down, grind another day, and when game day comes, we'll see who's got the will and the power. And USC must be razed to the ground. You're sending chills down my spine, I can't freaking wait to get this season started. GBR!
  18. This is the best I could do, hope it helps! My Webpage
  19. I just got back from Vegas and I noticed that the Golden Nugget future book odds have NU as an early 14pt underdog to SC. I also noticed that our win loss total over-under was 8 1/2, with the under being the favorite. Forgive me if someone else has already shared this info, but I was curious what you all might think about this. Personally, I don't think SC should be more than a 10pt favorite on our home field and I think covering 8 1/2 wins is a lock!
  20. That's the best thing I could have heard this morning!
  21. He may have had better numbers if we actually threw the ball in that game!
  22. The '93 team DID win it all. The refs just didn't let them advertise it on the scoreboard. The refs gift wrapped that NC for Bowden and we still almost won it! 'gift wrap' would be one play that was obviously slanted...refs were WAY too busy sucking Bowden off to limit it to one play. If Nebraska loses, they lose. I can deal with that. I may not be happy, but I can accept it. This game was a complete farce and a mockery to college football. It's kinda funny though now...Karma is now my best friend and FSU's slap upside the head. Not so good anymore, huh losers.
  23. I think the dark horse WR will be Hardy, just because Keller has a strong arm and Hardy has the most speed of any WR, now all he needs to do is catch the F**kin ball. I think Frantz is OK, but am I the only one who thinks his helmet is too big for him? I'd include a picture, but I'm not sure how to do that yet. Maybe someone can help me out.
