  1. To stupid to live? Come on... Anyway yeah they did get tons of names wrong all day, and they called that Daniel sack reviewed play all wrong, but other than that I thought they were really fair compared to most of the announcers I've heard this year. "Todd Dane can run the ball out of that backfield." Considering that's not his name and he hasn't run it since 2003, yeah that was a pretty stupid comment though. That call on the sack was really dufous; arguing that it wasn't because his arm was in motion. What's up with that?
  2. he didn't play at all against MO did he?
  3. That dropped pass by Philips seemed to give MO hope and inspiration. Then we did that strange call to use the clock on the run followed by an incomplete pass and out. Oh well, we never did really loose control.
  4. The D was making me a little nervous in the last quarter. That stopping them for 2/3 plays and then giving up the 1st down stuff makes me nuts. They did get some good plays and for the most part the O was able to keep MO's O off the field. We know we have issues with our secondary. When Mo got desparate and started attacking the secondary they started putting some drives together. I can see why Cally feels like he needs to play conservative when we have the lead in the 2nd half; i.e., don't let the opposing offense on the field. Man, that dropped pass by Philips gave Mo the opportunity to rebound.
  5. Is a bear Catholic? Does the pope sh#t in the woods?

Frisco, TX 5) Favorite Husker memory? Memories: The end of the Devaney era, TO going for the 2 pointer against Miami (although wish we would have made it - gutsy move), Tommie Frazier and the mid 90's, Jonnie Rogers, TO finally getting it done against Miami, being in Memmorial Stadium with my dad. 6) Worst Husker memory? The recent demise in Husker footbal after TO retired. I'm hopeful for the future though 7) Number of home games attended? Only a handful, in the early 70's 8) Number of away games attended? 0 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? Back in the early 70's there was a magazine cover (Life?) of a Husker Cheerleader being held over a guy's shoulder and on her behind her red underpants said something like "Huskers #1" 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) Anywhere, but a friend of my dad's had a box seat near the 50. 7. I was looking for a thread but can't seem to find one, only stuff related to last week.
  8. At this point I couldn't really argue with the article. We've known all season that NU has clear weaknesses that opponents can and have attacked. I expect MO to have us dialed in. Will NU show up? Will they bring the defense to the game? Maybe an even better question is will NU stay through the end of the game, or will they check out half way through. I hope they play with equal intensitiy from start to finish, but it's difficult to tell. Recent history seems to say maybe, maybe not. OKie State was clearly the better team last week.
  9. You sound like my wife; remembering everything I ever said or did and using on me at opportune times.
  10. This loss was a disappointment, but it was one loss. There are still tough games to play and it's not the end of the season much less the end of the world. Although this loss was a bump in the road I still beleive the Huskers are moving in the right direction. We've got some outstanding players, recruiting is good, etc. etc. Everyone knows we still have some weakness that can be taken advantage of. We'll continue to improve over the next couple years. Heck, Tom Osborn's years had plenty of rough times in between the glory years.
  11. What I'd like to see is for the Huskers to be in the top 10 year after year and consistently keeping losses at 2 or fewer (and beating elite teams). If we can get to that level there will be no loss seasons and NCs will come. I hope we can be top 10 next year.
  12. No wonder he can't concentrate on the football.
  13. Is that a triple negative? I've been trying to figure-out what that means and my head is spinning. It is bad English! but this is a message board.
  14. "fan" is probably derived from fanatic. "Fanatic" is "marked by excessive enthusiasm and often intense uncritical devotion." It's not surprising that Mizzou fans are nuts over Mizzou and it's not surprising that NU fans don't understand why Mizzou fans are nuts over Mizzou and not NU. It's just odd.
  15. It's dumb to criticize a play that worked. Duh, the pass got the first down. It was the fumble that went wrong, and that could have happened on a run.
  16. One thing for sure. Nunn needs to get over it quick and get his head into the Okie State game.
  17. I'm thinking the first play should be a trick play something like you might see from the 3 stooges. Like, have one of the Huskers stuff the ball down their pants and go the whole way while performing various antics before finally being tossed into the endzone for a touchdown. The Horns would be soooo surprised and confused. I hope BC reads this.
  18. I sure hope Billie is reading this board so he will know how to git er done.
  19. DON'T LET TEXAS QUIET THE CROWD. BE LOUD NO MATTER WHAT.
  20. I think the Huskers must have success running the ball. They may need passing to open up the running game, but if the Horns make us one dimensional by stopping the run game it's going to be a long day. If Texas is allowed to key on the passing game we might as well pound the rock and keep ZT alive and healthy. I don't believe desperation passing will win the game and could hurt us in the long haul. I think that if we see lots of ineffective runs and not much passing it will be because we are failing to execute, e.g., Texas is controlling the O-line to such a degree that Texas is allowed to focus on receivers.
  21. Way cool. Very good sign. I'd like to see the same in the 3rd!!!
  22. Takes a great program to recognize a great program. Compare that with the Hawkin's view in the Hawkin's thread. I have a lot of respect for the UT and the Horns, none for CU and the Buffoons.
