  1. Kudos to Helu! Played hurt and had a great game. Without him, no way we win. That guy has an extra gear and it gets him extra yards no one else can get. Awesome job, Roy!
  2. Agree with some of your comments above. While this game was an instant classic, we did not play great until it mattered. CU torched us for 14 early, the "saw it coming a mile away bonehead" fake FG for a CU TD, the lackluster running shortside for no yards, the fumble at the goal line, the Ganz sack that should have killed us. I was screaming at this game! I still cannot believe we won. Henery bailed everyone out. Even after he hit that FG I thought the way this is going today CU is gonna hit a FG at the end and win by 1. To have Suh run that TD in was EPIC...totally EPIC. No one will remember this game for much of the ugliness of how we played. What an incredible ending. Still amazed we pulled out this victory...wish we would have controlled this game like we should have but what a classic!
  3. Player: Bennie Logan Hometown: Coushatta, LA Position: DE Height: 6'3" Weight: 235 lbs. 40 time: 4.7 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Texas Tech, LSU, Michigan, Northwestern, Louisiana Monroe, LA Tech, Southern Miss Favorites: Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Big Red Report: Assessing the talent: Logan was an all-state selection as a junior. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 35%. Has visited LSU and is known to want LSU offer but they appear to be slow playing him. To visit NU for the CU game. Potential playmaker on Pelini's defense.
  4. I like all the guys you name above. I want Burkhead to be N. We need WR...Omigie or Kinnie? Also need another on D-Line...Logan this weekend could be sleeper.
  5. Wow...what a brutal article about Weis. There is no doubt this clown is gone from ND...over under is 2 years.
  6. Nice link...thanks. There are some deserving coaches I see that seem to be in the top list they show but Mark Richt? Wasn't UGA to be king of the SEC this year with all that hype? Shouldn't UGA be where Alabama and Florida sit right now in the rankings? Oh yeah...that's right Bama and FLA kicked UGA's arse!!!!
  7. Not a bad idea. I don't see how Weiss can survive another mediocre season. If they don't win next year, he'll be out which means guys like Wood and Pollard are never going to see the field with this ND staff if they redshirt next year for example. Good idea...let's give these two a call!
  8. NU 34 CU 23 Rush 148 Pass 283 EDIT: HuskerKing130 I just saw we picked same rush and pass totals...I swear I didn't look until after my prediction as I just always make sure no one has same score as me. Anyway, thought that was weird!
  9. What is the latest with Rex? He just seems like the perfect fit for Nebraska and our coaching staff. I'd love to see this guy be N!
  10. Looking to visit VA Tech in coming weeks. I have no idea where this kid ends up. Hope he gives us a strong consideration and weighs how we stack up...that's all we can ask.
  11. If we get a visit for the CU game, that is what we need. Tennessee and South Carolina are going nowhere in the SEC for years to come.
  12. Minnesota is jumping into the mix but I like our chances with this kid.
  13. MODS: PLEASE MERGE THREADS...sorry just saw there was another thread started on him. He should be added in the Pinned section as I checked there first and did not see him listed. Anyway, here is latest info. From Husker Journal: NOVEMBER 14, 2008. PREP STAR ERIC WILLIAMS, WR, 5-11, 185, 4.37, BRADENTON (MANATEE), FLORIDA “Right now my top schools are Purdue and Ole Miss,” said Williams. “Nebraska is still in it too. They just started recruiting me not too long ago. It’s going to be a hard decision picking between Ole Miss and Purdue. Nebraska is still in it though. I will most likely visit them (Nebraska).” “I talk to Coach Beck (Nebraska) he’s a good guy. We are building a relationship. Nebraska and all the schools say I can play early.” Williams said “I like Bo Pelini,” Williams said. “He’s going to turn the program around. They are starting to win games now. Nebraska use to run the ball a lot with the option, but now they are passing more. I check Nebraska out on the Internet about their games.” Williams added “I liked Purdue since Drew Brees was there. Purdue always throws the ball, I like that style. I like Purdue’s academics. They have a great Sports Management program.” Williams said “I hear from Purdue coaches every week. I have a visit set up there November 23.” Williams added “I like Ole Miss a lot. Eli Manning was a player I liked. I like how Ole Miss throws the ball around. They use their receivers a lot.” Williams said “If you work hard at Ole Miss you can make it to the next level, the NFL. Ole Miss seems to have top NFL picks every year.” Williams said “Schools say I have good feet and fast. Run good routes and take the catch the ball away from defenders. Some schools say I can play in the slot position and play special teams.” Williams added
  14. Player: Eric Williams Hometown: Bradenton, FL Position: WR Height: 5'10" Weight: 192 lbs. 40 time: 4.4 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Nebraska, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Purdue, Indiana, South Florida, Marshall Favorites: Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Big Red Report: Assessing the talent: From ESPN Evaluation: Williams is an electrifying athlete with great foot-quickness and speed. Lacks ideal height but is very well-built and put-together. Projects best as a slot receiver and return specialist. Shows good shiftiness and stop-start foot-quickness with the ball in his hands. Has loose hips and is real slippery to wrap up with his striking jump-cut skill and great body control. Flashes good burst and acceleration when he finds an open seam in space; has a longer, smoother stride. Very quick off the line and is difficult to mirror and retain leverage on. A challenge for defensive backs to stick with on underneath option routes. Shows good quickness out of his cuts and is sharp out of his breaks. More here: http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/...26season%3d2009 Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 25%. We have recently offered but can easily compete with other programs.
  15. Meh...this guy seemed to be a Pac 10 lean so not too surprised.
  16. if I am not mistaken everyone in this thread save one has said MU would still beat us.... the MU fan is just trying to stir things up. all I was saying was it would have been better game. same with OU... no one was even talking about them except on poster Hopefully we go out and beat these teams next year. Mizzou, Texas Tech, and OU have had our number lately...I don't like it but we need to turn the tide and knock these guys off next year. I like what Bo is doing, but we need to knock off these caliber of teams and then I will know we really got something going.
  17. Let's not drink too much here. I think if we had VA Tech again (at home) we could beat them. The others are still better than us this season. The VA Tech game was a tough loss...we just didn't get the breaks that game. Mizzou totally beat us...we had the wrong defensive scheme against them. Texas Tech probably overlooked us and it was too bad we could not pull of the stunner. No way we were beating OU in Norman and that game just snowballed against us. We get all of these teams again next year and I think all these games will still be some of the toughest on our schedule. We are @VA tech so that is not good. We are @Mizzou as well. Texas Tech and OU come to Lincoln. We are due to beat Texas Tech and get that monkey off our back. We have come so close to beating them after they drubbed us that one year. OU will be a huge game as always. Wow next year is going to be tough again.
  18. Gator Bowl would be sweet against either FSU or Miami. Alamo vs. Iowa maybe?
  19. Heard his name called a few times Sounded like he did a nice job. Well done!
  20. Hope he overcomes this injury quickly. We are pulling for you, Chris! Go Big Red!
  21. Great game for him to be at. Come play for Bo's defense!

    BCS

Watched a lot of football today. My observations: Penn State - so glad they lost as they now can't be in BCS final...they would have gotten drilled. Alabama - is good but that LSU QB was not going to win that game. USC - their defense is downright scary but it will be hard for them to reach BCS final though. Texas Tech - props to you wow can't believe NU should have beat them! Oklahoma - continues to roll. Florida - awesome display of football I think they can beat Alabama. Texas - good team but I don't think they are good enough this year to win the whole thing. Texas beat Oklahoma, Texas Tech beat Texas, what if Oklahoma beats Texas Tech and all those teams have one loss...who wins the Big 12 South? This is why college football is the best. Every week there is a playoff atmosphere!
