A 4-star Juco LB...I'll be interested in what happens here. He had some buzz and then sort of dropped off for awhile and does not have high interest in us last I checked. Will be interested in how he likes our gameday experience. There is an OL Cornell listed as coming to CU game. Appears he had committed to Michigan St. but now taking visit with us likely do to coaching shake-up at MSU? Noticed new WR Hagg...anyone know about him? Bummer to see that it looks like Harris is out. Amie is still coming but it appears that is now in Dec. along with others who were originally slated for the CU game including OT's Parker and Zusevics and the kicker Kunalic. Looks like a number of visits got pushed to Dec...not sure why but still good to see they will visit. Hopefully will get some more in for the CU game (as of now 11/19/06 the visit count is 8 for the CU game).

are you talking about?!. If USC beats Notre Dame and now bowl eligible UCLA (who has played better of late) they will be in the championship game. I still think OSU is the best team by far but you never know as if another team puts together a great game they can upset OSU (sort of like the year OSU upset Miami). Michigan still has an excellent shot but was it just me or did anyone think they were really ever in that game yesterday? OSU was in control most of the game...Michigan got back in it in the 3rd qtr to their credit...but final score was closer than what the game actually was. Florida with a USC loss and impressive final two wins also has a good shot. Ironically because FSU is bad this year, a Florida win vs. FSU will not help them as much this year. To me it is USC, Michigan, or Florida...all the other teams below them are going to have a tough time. The USC vs. Notre Dame game is HUGE. Ironically, if Notre Dame wins this game they likely will not make the championship game because they lost to Michigan earlier. Think about it...if Notre Dame would have had say a loss to GA Tech their first game but then beat everyone else, they would be in the championship. But you can't take Michigan out of that game for Notre Dame since Michigan whooped Notre Dame (plus we just saw OSU beat Notre Dame handily last bowl season). I don't think Arkie has a shot...USC blew them out and sorry but wins over Southeast Missouri State and Lousiana-Monroe are not going to get you in the BCS championship.

Latest info. http://mississippi.scout.com/2/591819.html Doesn't mention us in his top schools. I thought at one point he was going to visit us...but I don't see him listed anwhere as visiting us. Anyone know otherwise? I think Murillo will be our JUCO CB recruit as we have been in on him awhile and he has us as his leader.

According to Rivals, LSU is not even in the hunt as they don't list them as a school of interest. So not sure where the Pelini comment is coming from. I would like to see us get this guy as we can out recruit Arkansas. We are the most prominent program recruiting him. Some work to do here but I like what he says in the article about how he's a big hitter and will "knock some heads". Sounds like he may be in the mold of Octo. I can't seem to figure this one out. I read the posts that he is now leaning Michigan. Rivals prospect database has us and Meechicken as his leaders. Do we still have shot at him?

I have a difficult time believing this rumor. He needs to stay and prove he can play consistently well. An agent must be selling him on hype and past performance. I'd really like to see him stay and play like we think he can. I think if he gets back to health he will start. But to be cynical...maybe he just doesn't want to have to compete next year so he is taking some dollars and running with it. Jones has a shot at keeping his job...let's say Grixby's job is up for grabs...there are some other stud JUCO corners we are recruiting as well as Ross who is a top HS CB recruit. Let's say Bowman has to compete against them and he loses his job...now the little birdie agent sounds attractive..."take the money"... Let's hope not.

There have rightly been props for ZT and Mo on this board but Peterson was absolutely clutch with a great game today. Of his 7 receptions, I count 5 of them as 3rd down conversions (3 of those in the 4th qtr). The other 2 receptions were a TD on 1st down and a 2nd down catch on the final drive. Great game, Todd!

I watched most of this game. What happened to Texas? Yes, McCoy got injured and that was huge but TX still put up 42 points. Did anyone in their right mind think KSU would put up 45 points? They were just chucking the ball and running gadet plays all over Texas...couldn't believe my eyes! I hate to say it but Freeman looked really good...he was working the Texas defense...it is scary he has found his stride this early and just beat the defending national champs. I'm glad we worked him over this year and glad we get KSU in Lincoln next year. It sort of sickens me to know Freeman was ours...but it sure makes our rivalry with KSU even more instense. KSU was also laying the wood on defense...TX (i.e. McCoy) and others were just getting drilled and Texas was taking sacks and fumbling. We need to have that defensive intensity back with our defense and we will be in good shape. To me this was the biggest upset of the day...bigger than the Auburn or Cal losses.

Great exciting win...but what the hell happened in the 2nd half again? Glad we won but this was on the verge of extremely ugly...

ZT is the man!!!! I thought he was done...taking hits, throwing the INT...he came back and led the team to victory!!! Glad he cemented his place as a Husker legend! Congrats ZT!!!

I was thinking the same thing. You know Octo is going to want to blow this guy up for his personal highlight reel. If there was a game I want to see Octo in, this would be it.

The bigger they are the harder they fall! Hehe.

Good to see NU coaches getting some recognition but I hope this doesn't happen as I feel we are just starting to really break through with this offense and want to see Jay finish what he started. We've got a good thing going!

Both of these guys have Kansas State rated higher than us on their Rivals favorites lists (Chandler signed with KSU out of HS). I hope this means we are expecting a lot of the younger high school LB's we are recruiting to be N. We are after some young high school potential safety prospects as well...gotta believe we are close with T. Lewis. Not sure if Bernstine is still in play, and what about Washington...he was also projecting as a potential safety/db and I thought we were close with him also.

I continue to like what I hear about this guy. We can beat FSU and WVU in recruiting for him. Cally does run a tight ship and this guy could be worth it. We need to land him or Bo Williams...don't see us getting both but we should get one or the other. The way our offense is playing we need to start getting some RB's to be ready when our current crop moves on so there is no drop off. How about Devine and Okafor in the coming years?!
