A friend of mine owns Rags to Riches at that mall in Norfolk which has the largest selection of Husker gear in NE Nebraska. They frequently have Huskers in the store signing autographs and such. Maybe that's why he was there? I've gotten autographs from several former Huskers there.

With his size and tackling ability, he could end up being a Bob Sanders type of player.

I am betting Nevada beats them right out of the gate. Michigan rebounds from their regular thing of losing the season opener against a nobody in Western Michigan and beats them in a close game. Michigan State kicks their butts, before finally winning their first games against Purdue and Washington. Then USC cleans their clock along with Boston College winning a squeaker, then they will win against Washington State and Navy, before being beat at Pittsburgh badly. Then they win against Connecticut, and lose at Stanford by at least 2 TD's. So...that makes them 5-7 in my book of dreams. Not even Bowl Eligible...just where I like 'em!! I agree with this assessment. Unless there is vast improvement across the board, 5-7 is a distinct possibility.

I'm on the Cody Green bandwagon along with many others but what about Taylor Martinez? He's coming in with a shot to play quarterback and according to the LA Times was "most indispensable player on the top team in California -- and The Times' Glenn Davis Award winner as the top player in the Southland in 2008". He should be on the list.

I played against Russ Hochstein in 8th grade basketball. Norfolk vs Hartington Cedar Catholic. I miraculously made a layup against him using my powerful 5' 5" 125 lb frame, got fouled and made the free throw for my only 3 points of the game. At 14 years old he was probably every bit as tall as he is now. Thats really all I've got and if you asked any of my friends, I think I've worn the story out.

Just as the topic title says. I have 2 tickets to the big XII championship game that I need to sell. Section 319, Row 7, seats 19 and 20. I would like to get face value for them which is $65 ea plus the $8.50 ticketmaster charge. I also have a parking pass for Arrowhead that is $24.50. I understand that not too many people here would want to go to this game but if you know of any misery or TTech (or Texas/OU for that matter) forums that I could post these, I'd really appreciate it. I have a little problem with Autzen Stadium being ranked number 33. Don't you have to win something there to be important?

That's what I get for living in Big 10 country I guess. There is no way that the Illinois/PSU coverage map does NOT include Indiana. Same question as a few others: Is it on gameplan?

Why does Missouri get a month and a half?

I grew up in Norfolk, NE but I went to the University of Tulsa to play soccer (no men's soccer in the Big XII) and for engineering. I caught a lot of crap for going there because thats right in the heart of sooner country. It was fun being a Husker fan down there in the mid to late 90's because of all of the good spirited rivalries I had with friends. I have a room in my house dedicated to Husker Football and will bleed Husker red til I die! Plus, I can cheer for the Golden Hurricane and the Huskers without ever choosing sides because it seems that they will never play each other.

Should Watson leave, and I hope he doesn't, one guy to look at would be Gus Malzahn from Tulsa. If anyone watched Tulsa play this year, they had one of the most explosive and exciting offenses in the country and they installed it in one year using an experienced senior quarterback which we already have in Joe Ganz. Just to add a little stat, Tulsa became the first team in NCAA history to have a 5,000 yard passer, a 1,000 yard rusher, and 3 1,000 yard receivers this year.

I think he (Ganz) was trying too hard to make things happen sometimes. Its tough for a quarterback to know he has to score 50 points to win.

I hate to hijack my own thread but I was just doing a search for the exact scores from other great beatdowns during the '95 season and I came across this disturbing college football bracket on scout.com. http://www.scout.com/a.z?s=143&p=2&c=536498 '96 Florida over '95 Nebraska?!?!? And this after a very close call with '94 Penn State and a not exactly dominant performance over '90 Colorado who finished with a loss and a tie in that year. I don't understand how people come up with this stuff...

I have the same concerns. A friend just informed me that Indianapolis will be getting the Oregon-Cal game. I know that Neon Johnnys is the usual watch site in Indy but when you cannot even get the game on ESPN gameplan, I do not know what options we have around here.
