  1. I like Miami. Name that movie The Godfather Part II Wrong. Guess again. Mel Gibson Braveheart Passion of the Christ
  2. You could also say they scored a lot and dragged the games out by passing all the time too. I'm not honestly too worried I think he will be good. That's what I was going to say. Bet if you look at the possessions per game for the other team the number would be pretty high. High octane offenses generally tend to create games with more opportunities for the other offense to score with more time with the ball. Not necessarily a knock on how good they were defensively. then add in they both played offense as well.
  3. idk I think the hundreds of kids being given free educations and hoping to make the olympics or make a career out of their craft care about them. If the goal is to give out free education, who not simply dole out hundreds of scholarships to poor and first-generation college students? I would prefer that to creating some sports programs no one cares about so some kids playing sports no one cares about can attend school for free.If the goal is to help the athletic department and/or the university, it makes far more sense to plow the money back into the sports people care about and already generate revenue than to create and subsidize even more silly programs like bowling. But.... the university does that... So do more of it. But, the Athletic Department is a separate entity from the University. The funds from the BTN are for the Athletic Department, which operates on a budget that is separate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.So if the Athletic department is a different entity, do they pay the school for the education of the players they are providing scholarships for? yes
  4. why does it take forever to announce a hire? Been almost a week and we know just as little now as we did then.
  5. It's extremely hard to recruit an 18 year old kid to replace a 22 year old kid who has spent 4+ years in the s&c program, and being coached by college level coaches. Most 18 year olds arent going to walk in and from day 1 be able to hang then one would hope they arent just recruiting kids to start for 4 yrs at a time. if you are recruiting players equal to or better than the players you have, redshirting them to keep them for another year becomes a moot point. you're not going to just have a two-deep at every position. take lamar jackson, some say we should have redshirted him. no, they just signed a lamar jackson to replace him and are actively recruiting another lamar jackson to replace him. so even if he plays limited downs it doesn't matter because you have the replacement ready. and truthfully, we should only expect players to be here for 3-4 yrs. if they are good enough they'll be heading to the nfl in that time frame.
  6. who cares if we redshirt someone? the staff should be recruiting someone as good or better to replace him. the lines may be slightly different but you are still recruiting guys as good or better.
  7. Reported for obviously untrue rumors! #fakenews? or more #alternativefacts? More like the BC stretching the truth.
  8. so we need to find someone of ameer's talent, wasnt he a 3 star recruit that most of the sec schools were looking at as a cb?
  9. Why not Yoda or Obi Wan ? their best recruit chose the dark side.
  10. never leave your feet to make a pass. start of second looking ugly.
  11. bob loblaw blah blah blah Well, it's clear to me anyway, that the lion's share of the suckage during the Bo Regime rested squarely on the D. It wasn't the offense that wasn't showing up and getting blown off the field in the most important games. It was the defense. Beck and crew generally did continue to score points in those games, though usually put in severe catchup mode. If OU or Wiscy or whoever has put up 35 or 42 on your D by have(or the 1st qtr), wtf's an OC supposed to do? well, the offense didnt do them any favors in the turnover department either.
  12. Shoot...DUI's in Baton Rouge? If you don't have 6 of them they probably get mad at you. Drive thru liquor stores. That is all. had those in little rock 15 yrs ago. might be a southern thing.
  13. little help for those that dont follow every recruit on twitter. or even those who dont use twitter.
  14. i kinda like the irony of this post as the other qb taken in this class was a statue who transferred within the first two years.
  15. Don't you think natural attrition will help with next year's class? I think Onyemaobi is a good enough player to take this year if we can get him. Surprisingly I'm with Matty on this one. This kid can ball. I think you gotta take him. Don't trust the 3 star. Save the spot to spread out the scholarships. We only lost 2 secondary players unless someone transfers. We're already young in the secondary and have a 2018 guy committed that can play cb. Secondary easy has the most depth on our roster. do we know we have enough for diaco's scheme?
  16. Getting pumped for Fantasy Baseball! i joined a league one year where they let you set your "lineup" AFTER the games had been played simply because one guy was on the west coast and couldnt plan his team ahead of time. needless to say he jumped out to a big lead and as everyone else caught on it turned to crap. and that was pretty much the last time i did fantasy baseball.
  17. This is getting ridiculous. Ridiculous enough to pay for your own subscription? never
