Football: Christensen released from jail LINCOLN (AP) - Nebraska football player Andy Christensen is out of jail after posting bond. Christensen was arrested last weekend outside a downtown Lincoln bar on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday. Christensen was released from jail shortly after 5:30 Tuesday afternoon. Earlier in the day, defense attorney Bob Creager had asked that Christensen's $500,000 bail be lowered to $300,000. But Judge Mary Doyle refused to review the figure, saying she was recusing herself from the case because she knows the alleged victim. A Lancaster County Jail staff member said she did not know who paid the $50,000 that was required for Christensen's release. Hopefully this guy.

Callahan Denies Middle Finger Salute to Cops Lincoln, NEBRASKA (GSR) - University of Nebraska head football coach Bill Callahan was ticketed today after making an obscene gesture to a Lincoln cop during a routine traffic stop. An onboard camera appeared to show Callahan raising his right arm before extending his middle finger towards one of the officers. The Huskers’ coach denied such allegations. “This is how I tell my kids they’re number one,” Callahan said. “I learned this new method of complimenting other people during my two-year tenure in the NFL with the Raiders. So I was simply expressing my appreciation to the officer for the job he was doing.” This guy is good with gestures. Maybe after you run him out of Lincoln he can start a career with finger puppets.

You are forgeting the most important element in college coaching, recruiting. The Stoops are the best recruiters in the country. Thats why they are so good. How do you think K-State got so good? They convinced kids to come to, at the time, a scholl with the worst football tradition ever. If Callahan can't recruit in the next couple of years then cry into your beers. For footballs sake girls don't give up yet. On the other hand I'd love for that stupid air up doll of yours deflate like your school spirit.

And what is this talk of great coaches last year? All they did was win 10 games last year. Thats not good enough for mighty NU. I'd like to give you credit for William Jennings Bryan but, the guy was from Illinois. Educated in Illinois. And was a three time loser only after he moved to Nebraska. I have a great sence of humor.
