haha, today I just simmed the whole season on the 360... we ended up in the Holiday Bowl..

Just simmed the whole season without any roster updates... Nebraska went 10-4 (losing to Virginia Tech, Kansas and Oklahoma in the regular season and then to Texas in the Big 12 Championship). Beat Washington in the Holiday Bowl. (Florida won it all over Texas... Penn St finished #2...)

Very nice. I like how high quality the whole thing is-- the detail, composition, etc. But one small thing that would just bug me is the backwards "10" on his shoulder.. Maybe blur/darken that out? (very small detail.. ) But yes, amazing.

First, nice job on the predictions Cy... Second, I think all the discussion following those predictions shows how differently people's opinions are before fall practice has really started rolling. Everyone should be optimistic and has the right to believe their team can do well, but until they strap em up, all we are talking about is potential (and what 'could happen'). And this is why I really hate preseason polls (as well as having polls for the first few weeks of the year). Everyone can believe that 'so-n-so will set it up or fill some shoes' this year, or that 'inexperience' will catch up.. I just do not think that someone's prediction poll should impact a team later in the year just because they were ranked too low before. Right?

Used to be the argument was that more people were playing on Xbox Live versus the Playstation... Does anyone know how they stack up number wise nowadays?

Does anyone know if EPIC BBQ is still updating (or is finished) with the roster? I thought I saw he left the project and his Twitter page is gone. If not, which would you recommend? How is the mberry85 for the Huskers' roster? Would you say huskersaddict is better for Nebraska roster/overall?

This whole topic of changing conferences and moving the CCG to a permanent site really has me thinking... First, the new stadium does offer a lot... and we should not forget to acknowledge that (not that anyone has). But instead of thinking about 'getting back at Texas' or anything such as moving conferences, should we be reminding Texas why it seems the national media and the rest of the nation does not acknowledge or give much respect to the Big 12? -- stating a weak northern division and no defense... Shouldn't Texas and the other south schools be thinking about this? Depending on your point of view, does our success up here in the north help the overall Big 12 picture? Or at least gain some more national respect?

From my experiences, the stadium security definitely has a different feel than last year. BRI, depending on when you were at the stadium, the gate might have been open for the public band game day practice (and the public did seem like they were wandering more than they used too).

Very sharp! My mom always has me making things like these and I really enjoy seeing other people's work (and getting new ideas!). How much did you create from scratch? Like, do you have a place to get templates/backgrounds to start with?

Maybe check Mangelsen's in Omaha.. back by the posters/framing section.. I know they used to have that one back there in the racks.. but I haven't been there in awhile..

While I do question the reliable, credibility, accuracy, etc of the DN (especially with a lot of the recent news surrounding the DN..) just remember (no matter how wrong or right the writer's opinion..) the posted article was an editorial.. While the DN may 'represent' the University, there is a fine line between supporting the school and attempting to be a good news group by reporting both the good and the bad.. Right or wrong.. just remember, the DN is what it is. A student newspaper with students running it..

Landlord-- just checked it out.. I like the music choices (the Friday Night Lights music is good for the 'bad' stuff..) Hard to compare different ideas for videos.. Nice work. Definitely liked the T.O. quote.. I must have missed your video first.. I haven't had too much time to cruise the board these days..

Yeah, I've actually have had the most fun playing games this way.. I love the way my friend calls the defense, and I take care of the offense.. Though a time or two, we came to some disagreements.. and we basically went with who's dynasty we were playing with.. but yeah. I think its pretty fun.

Anyone with some free time on their hands.. I've been looking and looking for old pictures of some Blackshirt greats.. I'm looking specifically for ones that would work nice to find a spot on my wall. The bigger the picture the better... but with the luck I've had so far, they seem hard to come by. Anyone up for it?

A couple of years ago (I think it was early on in the 2004 or 2005 season), a mid-30-year-old told us to sit down.. and he was pretty serious about 'look I'm older, so sit down'... then in the 3rd quarter, my friend and I were standing again (who knows if the guy was even there still) and remembered the guy, so we were sitting down when an elder couple was sitting a row from us told us to go ahead and stand up. They said they understood standing and knew we were "enthusiastic" about Husker FB. -This was crazy because the older guy had been standing and he looked like he needed to go take a visit with the Red Cross to make sure he was ok..

Agreed.. Lately I've been surprised to see the holes in the crowd closer and closer to kickoff, but this week.. it wasn't quite as bad. Did anyone else notice the defense run to the corner right in front of the student section after the tunnel walk?

As for the crowd reaction to introductions... horrible for everyone.. the crowd was dead. It wasn't until the game actually got started did the crowd decide to make any noise what so ever. On the sideline, a guy from Big Red Report was even commenting on the lack of atmosphere and acknowledgement of any of the player introductions. He even went to say, "the kickoff kid got more of an applause than the players..." and he was right.
