True. However, they're seemingly replacing him with another member of the good ol' boy club in Chuck Neinas. From what I understand he's big time buddies with Deloss anyway. Who knows.
Good thing NU doesn't have to deal with it anymore!
I don't see how this improves things in the Big 12. The LHN is still up and Texas isn't sharing, which seems to be the biggest problem.
Sure, Beebee was spineless but the big problems still exist
I wouldn't be surprised if NU loses this game. Washington isn't great, but they're damn happy to be bowling. NU is confused. Can Pelini and Co focus the kids?
We were wondering if he was told not to run or if he didn't feel 100% or what
I don't buy that he's 100 percent, no matter what the coaches say. If you looked closely you could see him limping around occasionally..
Has NU even called a screen this year? It's been mysteriously missing from the game this year. Maybe it's because we ran it heavily over the past 2 years or so?
There were a few 3rd downs where he clearly hit the panic button and obviously couldn't decide what to do. That was the hardest thing to watch. The kid just stood there a few times as if he didn't understand what to do next. Maybe he's thinking to much. just pull it down and take off.
His gameplanning can be suspect, but the way I think about it is you can't prepare to turn the ball over like NU has this year. That also comes from coaching, though, and being mature enough to not make dumb mistakes.
This team has a few problems. Least of which is defense. Sure, they didn't play the best but time after time they gave the team a chance to win and Martinez squandered it.
