  1. If anyone could shoot me a PM I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks much in advance!
  2. Have a future in the NFL? Thoughts please.
  3. With just an average offense we're undefeated. Un - freaking- defeated folks. It's really unbelievable how bad this husker offense is. I thought it would be a struggle somewhat this year offensively when I looked at the WR depth chart going into fall camp, but never could've imagined this. What a waste of year when the defense finally is formidable.
  4. For losing recruits who've verbally committed. Sure, there's always a risk of a recruit decommitting even if things were going well, however, it's a MUCH greater risk with the way this is going now at the moment. Recruits just aren't going to want to be a part of a program slipping. That's what hurts me the most other than us having 8 turnovers and losing at home to freakin ISU. This really sucks.
  5. Uh yeah...back to this....glad someone else took issue with that. That first big run of Cody Green's looked like he covered a lot of distance quickly due to his size so I really question Watson on that one. I'm getting closer and closer to throwing in the towel on our OC. That set of comments is perplexing. Yeah, those comments by Watson on Green's running ability really stood out to me. I was surprised that nobody brought those up sooner. Heck, nobody is comparing Green to Michael Vick when he was at VaTech or anything. But comparing Green's running ability/style to that of Joe Ganz is perplexing to say the least. Granted I don't get to see Green practice each day, however, from the little I've seen from Green he is a MUCH better/more elusive runner than Ganz. Could Watson possibly be just downplaying Cody's talent purposely because they plan on using his running ability more and involving him in some special packages? I think so. There's no way Watson could possibly believe what he said in that article.
  6. This may be true but do you really think that Nebraska will ever be able to recruit the type of playmakers that USC and Florida and Texas have? I for one do not think so. We will be able to recruit nice, good players at the wide receiver position and we might be able to snag a top notch QB and RB every now and then. What we can do is recruit big bad linemen who will open up massive holes for our nice RB's who can then run HARD. You dont have to recruit a playmaker at RB to get him to run HARD. This is what Nebraska has always done and needs to continue to do. I agree. Yeah, NU will most likely never be able to stockpile NFL talent at the skill positions, however, if they keep winning and getting more and more national exposure for it I think they can reel in a few big ones. And when you add just a couple big time playmakers with what NU has coming in for lineman(plus along with the other things you alluded to) things will really improve offensively IMO.
  7. I think offensively their problem right now isn't Watson, but moreso the fact they lack a true gamebreaker/playmaker. Other than Helu, who really strikes fear into opposing defenses from NU's offense? Nobody. Teams are stacking the box and forcing Lee to beat them and he's struggling as a result. Some of it is his ineffectiveness and some of it is lack of playmakers.
  8. The bottom line is the offense lacks big time speed. There's no one that can get open and separate. It sucks to watch a bunch of possession recievers run around covered like blankets. Niles Paul really isn't thta fast folks. He's about a 4.6 in the 40 at best. we need more speed.
  9. Yeah, we need more speed. Niles Paul just isn't a game breaker. He's really not that fast folks. He ran a 11 flat in the 100 in high school that isn't that fast.
  10. No worries. His grammatical errors are a huge turn-off for her hey why's everyone shooting down my internet game... besides our (future) relationship revolves around love/nebraska football/cuddling/sea glass/surfing gnary waves/fishing/playing music/intrepretive dance/our mutual study of russina prison tattoos...... and NOT grammer Okay, this is funny on several levels and VERY unlikely on another. Yeah irieboy, I don't think she is going to call you................................. Is that photo of that chick on Fox really Zac Lee's sister?
  11. agree, next.......... Season's over. I just flushed my season tickets down the toilet.
  12. I guess the backup backup plan worked and he did get a Nebraska scholarship. Good to hear. Also seems he and his father have been checking out the message boards and saw how we all liked his hitting, just another reminder to watch what you say about these young men because yes they do read them, and even though it's some guy on the internet it does have an affect on them and it isn't always positive like it was this time. i agree about not jumping to conclusions about people, but at the same time this is a message board. Posters should have the right to voice their opinion be it good or bad. It's generally wise for a player not to pay too much attention to message boards anyways. I'm sure C. Grixby has some thoughts on this. That said, Wald's hits were very nice (and refreshing) This guy looks like a young John Lynch. How the hell did he not get some offers from SEC schools? Is he bad in pass coverage or something? He looks like he's got enough speed to cover to me.
  13. This is so pathetic. Nebraska football has sunk below Missouri, KU, KSU, and Colorado. The only program Nebraska is better than is ISU. And that isn't by much. What a long year(s) ahead.
  14. The problem is Nebraska is getting dominated up front on both sides of the ball. There's not as much gap in the athletes on both teams as people think. Sure, Nebraska lacks speed on defense, however, both of Nebraska's offensive and defensive lines are getting completely dominated by their USC counterparts.
