  1. I'd say walk away but of course I know Dexter's situation and you tend to root for that guy because of back story and what not. If you knew nothing else other than the situation at hand, you'd know that you see a serial killer out there, regardless of he's a huge criminal or not. What the guy was doing was sick and twisted. I would add another question. Is there a place for vigilantes? Would you prefer them to be like Dexter provided you never found out how he did it? There's some really great heroes that center around vigilantes. Peter Pan is one, stealing from the rich to give to the poor. Dexter is killing people back. Balancing the world's good and bad. We need these people or else there'd be nothing to hope for, because god sure as sh#t isn't doing anything about it.
  2. I don't like how this story developed. If Martinez really is the guy and he beat out Lee, I'll concede that for sure. I want the best guy out there. But this whole situation is so sketchy. You wouldn't think that a guy would lose his job because of injury you know what I mean, and that seems to be the reason why Lee is in the doghouse. I'd like for that to be wrong because Pelini is a class guy. But, I'll drink the koolaid and here's to hoping that Martinez is the game changer we're hyping him to be.
  3. That's the thing that I always have to come too. It's almost a dick tease situation where it builds up and builds up but you never get a conclusive answer.
  4. There was one video that I watched (my roommate is totally into this) that was all over the map with evidence and originations and it even had the gall to say that the anti-slavery movement was a NWO ploy to gain power.
  5. What's everyone's thoughts on this? Does anybody know anything about it? I pretty much boiled it down to the Illuminati are pantheists and paganists who want to achieve God status without supernatural ability (because they don't have it), God status being defined as omniscience (the surveillance state), omnipotence (power by force and debt), and finally omnipresence (the New World Order one world government). I really don't get any of it. Care to shed light?
  6. Oh man SOCAL would hate you for your username. He would've started a thread based on it. (He was our local Objectivist Anarcho-Capitalist. Where's that guy been BTW? Did I ignore him?)
  7. His face melted like the guy on Raiders of the Lost Ark because he did that.
  8. It's a great concept short term certainly and the SEC has set a precedent for this, but I'm gonna throw a wrench in the plan for long term. Is conference expansion done? Is a playoff inevitable? I remember in June when this was all going down that a playoff was exponentially more revenue than the current BCS as is. That may be speculation, but I see this not having to be a problem anymore. But, I'd rather have an undefeated team go over a 1-loss team unless it was a special circumstance like when Nebraska is involved. What about taking a 0 loss BYU or Boise State over a 1 loss B10 team? If the one loss is in the big ten title game, they don't deserve to go. But, if they had a close loss to a good team, early in the year, it'd be the best option due to conference superiority.
  9. Fixed it for ya. I really think Lee would be the best choice here and i hope i am wrong about t-mart getting the start, but Lee has a cannon (see arizona 2 niles paul) and all of those deep throws last year were WITH A TORN TENDON... i don't think people realize how seriously that can effect a throw especially when you are required to make 20 game in game out. His arm must be pretty splendid with that fixed and it also means that he would have a lot of upside seeing as he is also a terrific game manager style QB. Accurate with a lot of zip, experience, and tenacious leadership to me means he is the best and if he doesn't start it will be understandable, but still a crime. IMO. Exactly. A lot of people write Lee off but forget he had a significant injury to his throwing arm. I think the kid will bring a ton of playmaking ability to the passing game and to write that off would eliminate Paul, Kinnie and the gang almost completely. Broken plays and PA passes does not make a passing game. Converting first downs on 3rd and long should determine a QB starter. Lord knows we'll need that guy. 3rd and long situation with a bad o-line, you'd definitely want Martinez though. If they can't protect, guy's gotta make a play himself.

  11. I generally feel properly adjusted sliders and All-American difficulty give you the most realistic experience. I find most times I play on Heisman, something ridiculous or something impossible happens (similar to your situation), and it ends up driving me crazy. What are your sliders by chance?
  12. I think that it's name is Big Red. It's amorphous blob that shows no gender. That was the joke. (Yeah I'm the lame guy who explains jokes. Just try to think of Norm MacDonald saying it and it might go down easier.) Those This Is Sportscenter spots rarely miss. Hilarious.
  13. It's funny that we're having this conversation because on my facebook news feed, one of my friends called Bo a whiny douchebag. He was basically saying what the OP has been saying, that it's not classy to yell, no eff-bombs, etc. etc. Each time, the posters have been bringing up fallacious arguments of confirmation bias. BCS posted youtube videos of Coach Pelini flying off the handle. This proves to him that he needs to be reined in. But he ignores all of the other evidence, of the other 95% of press conferences where he isn't surly and ill-tempered. Especially this year, he's been upbeat and energetic for the most part. Yes, it is very awkward when a guy is mad and it's very evident. It's only made worse by the fact that these people have to ask the same questions they asked the day before, as if the question didn't already get answered. They also can't postpone the Q&A session until he's cooled off and calmed down because they have deadlines. It's a powder keg. You're just gonna have to take this as a bad day at the office. You act like a person can't get mad and not express their emotions. He's not cursing AT a person. He's just being rude because he's mad. Tell me that you don't do that and you'll be a liar.
  14. I don't understand. Ya'll still hate each other. People in Ohio can't even utter the name of the state up north. If there was an opportunity to seek revenge in the same season, I wouldn't understand why you wouldn't take that. I think that Manhattan is upset because Michigan is down, tOSU has their number. If there was a revenge title game chance for Michigan and UM wins, he'd be pissed! But wouldn't that just add to the rivalry?
  15. How about YOU knock it off!!!!! How about we don't make it personal. Your Mother!!! So's your face. And boom roasted.
  16. I love the internet. Everyone has an opinion and most of the bad ones are filled with hyperbole and over-dramatization. I mean come on. Does his demeanor really matter? He has the utmost respect of all of his peers, pretty much across the board. Knock it off. We'll all calm down after Saturday. Even Bo will too.
  17. 56-7 With all the talk on how well the offense is doing in fall camp, I expect to see a show against a bottom feeder. It's also gonna be Dejon Gomes coming out party as Josh Bullocks 2.0. It's gonna be 2003 all over again, but only with the turnovers part.
  18. What would our board do without Cy's predictions? It'd be pretty lame sauce without him I'll say.
  19. So I've had the absolute worst luck with this year's game. I've probably lost about 10 games already and that's not including all the times I've quit. I really don't understand. I've always been awesome at this game. It's pissing me off.
  20. I'd also like to point out that I personally felt the absence of God in my life. When I logically deduced that god doesn't exist, a huge weight fell of my shoulders and I ended up almost crying. Feels good man.
  21. You admit you have faith, I have never called it blind faith, I have never "made a positive" claim as to your level of faith, just that it does exist in some level. It doesn't matter if the gap that faith covers is a foot wide, or a mile wide, you still rely on faith to cover it. And since all that consists of is human perception, 2 people can be presented with the exact same arguments and come to different conclusions. That is what makes humans both great, and imperfect at the same time in my opinion. You are making the "positive" claims that my faith is "blind", you are asserting that my belief is founded on absolutely nothing. That's your assertion, you may not believe in my experiences, and I may not have evidence to back them up that is acceptable to you, but that does not "prove" that my beliefs are invalid or blind, you just don't accept them. The claim has been made that believing in God is "ignorant", but yet the assumption that my, or other experiences are invalid is in itself ignorant. I don't choose to believe that other religions are correct, but I don't tell people they are wrong for what they believe. If I disagree, I present my opinion based on my experiences, it's up to them to decide what works for them. I'm sorry sir but you cannot rewrite the rules. You have to bring legitimate claims to the table to convince someone that your god claim is real. You can use any criteria you want for you to believe anything, but when it comes time to bring others to your party, you need to have more than what you have considering all the evidence against said claim. I looked a great article that explains the atheism is based in faith argument. http://atheism.about.com/od/atheismmyths/a/faith.htm
