  1. he absolutely would not have made the big time if he hadn't changed his on stage persona. jerry seinfeld, he is not.
  2. lucky shouldn't have cut so early. he probably could've taken it to the sideline a little bit. patience, young man.
  3. the saw thing sucked, the only thing that was good was the statue coming to life. i actually came up with an idea today, and it can and should be utilized for halloween (10/20 vs. A&M). here it is: killing zombies. isn't that the sweetest idea ever? the zombies would have jerseys on and stuff. and then towards the end, a player gets surrounded by zombies, then he comes out of it because it's a dream, cut to prayer, then to tunnel walk. it needs a little fine tuning, but it sure the hell sounds sweet in my head.
  4. Uhhh....How many times did USC run the ball? Because i know for a fact that Nebraska ran it 70 times! TOP jumps in that favor. And you don't need to hog the ball to dominate a team. Turnovers and quick scores can lead to a TOP like that. I bleed Husker red and all, but come on. Come up with some better symptoms for your "head in the clouds, we're absolutely not losing to USC" mentality. We all want to win, but you got to stay grounded.
  5. Nebraska vs. Nevada picture gallery check out these pictures from the game... Lucky catching TD pass Octavien baring down on Graziano

  7. no you had to be selected to play the beta version. in the interview, he stated that he was watching MNF one monday and a commercial came on for it, he registered, and they chose randomly three months later. you could also buy the game crackdown and in certain copies, the selection came with it.

  10. N-Staters: Have you ever lived outside of Nebraska? Nope Where have you lived the longest? York Where has been your favorite non-Nebraska place to visit/live? 11. i saw that Keller and Bowman were impacts. did anybody see the third one? was it Octavien? weird!
  12. i know this is kind of a repost but the last thread didn't have mention of Oklahoma State. i loved it when we beat Okie State in '03 and Kansas, Missouri last year to get them back for those frickin goal post games. did we lose to Okie State last year or did we just meltdown? and if it was just a meltdown, is there anything really to worry about except for their QB and that beast of a WR?
  13. The Pac-10 is second because of USC. The fact that almost everyone is gonna have them preseason number one, that it has decent teams(that USC WILL destroy) gives them that kind of status. The SEC has four top 10 teams and five top 15. There's nothing much you can argue about those predictions. The national title game isn't set in stone from spring ball like it was in '05, but it very well could.
  14. I have some questions about our defense but here are some stats that raised alarm bells...comparing 2003(Pelini), 2005 (NCAA 1st in sacks), 2006 Tackles For Loss '03: 95 '05: 140 '06: 105 Sacks '03: 27 '05: 50 '06: 31 Takeaways '03: 47 (Ints: 32, Fum Rec: 15) '05: 21 (Ints: 13, Fum Rec: 9) '06: 25 (Ints: 12, Fum Rec: 13) what's better in your minds, getting in the backfield to get sacks, or using that as a tool for takeaways? sacks or takeaways? i'd rather have more possessions quite frankly.
  15. The people that I worry about have moved on to the NFL. Most of them from Texas. As I look at Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M, I only see Nic Harris from Oklahoma as a safety who can disrupt the passing game. But he is a Safety. Please tell me that a 6'2" 180 lb. corner can cover a 6'4" 220 lb. receiver. I don't see a Baron Miles or a Ralph Brown on this one. These guys could climb up receivers and knock down passes. Life is cyclical and so are the defenses from the Big 12. We will be great. you say that and sing the praises of zac bowman...shut down corners are important. look at champ bailey last year in denver. NOBODY wanted to pass his direction.
  16. We don't need a good d-front. Just an athlete to play the rover. Oh, ironically. Most defensive coordinators studied Charlie's defense in the 1980's and caught up to us. Using the rover in the defense will stop alot of "stud" players who kill us. Use a "player" who follows a "player" from another team, that would be a good thing. I thought that the mid 90s was when Charlie's defense actually became the "in thing" since we finally had the speed that was necessary to stop the Florida teams. Back to the topic, the 3-4 needs big tough lineman that can demand double teams every play to allow the linebackers to make plays. I don't think we have that with this years team, as Turner would only be double teamed on pass plays where his speed is a factor. Suh may demand it for about 50% but I don't think he would demand it every play the whole game. The other lineman haven't even proved they can beat a single person off the ball let alone demand a double team every play. A lot of people may think that the front three are not that big of a deal to the defense since they don't get a lot of sacks or tackles but they are more important to the whole defense than the speedy linebackers are. http://www.trojanfootballanalysis.com/usc_...nt_defense.html Here is a link explaining how USC's 4-3 defense last year was often confused (by me and others) as a 3-4. I gives good insight into the 4-3 as played by USC and the USC defense you will be seeing next September. Enjoy. That's a great link. I kind of already knew about 4-3 Over and Under and how confusing it can look, but then you see the subtle nuances of the formations (gap responsibilities, lining up, and stances) and it becomes a little more clear.
  17. those were the days when they let Cris Collinsworth do color for games. Collinsworth is one of the best around. even though, if i remember right, he couldn't stop blowing hot air up Miami's a$$ the whole time.
  18. Aaron Golliday - York High School...it's the only person I can brag about in York.
  19. i think that you're all missing the best attribute that comes from having a great receiving tandem. chicks dig the long ball, you know what i mean. having that good of corps of WR's will open up running lanes as well. oh man, this season is going to be sweet.
