  1. Don't say "target audience"...he'll want a flag thrown due to "targeting". What a D-Bag! Cunningham that is.
  2. And what exactly was the "phantom" review called for? I did not hear anything?
  3. Does this guy have any clue? Did I hear this no mind claim targeting on Merediths hit to Gabbert? Just goes to show how announcers try to put themselves into the middle of a game. Targeting on a pass rush...way to go Ed.
  4. I hope it's Musburger's ears that start bleeding...I can't stand that douche!
  5. Maybe not... But I am legitimately curious if anyone can think of a more impressive road start. he played fine, he just needs to develop his passing game more I thought the passing game was fine today. A few incompletes and no picks? Why pass when you can run? Answer me that.
  6. Can't argue with that one. When Taylor threw that pass to Paul to pick up the 1st down after a 3 and 16 early in the game, I clapped loudly then said "Thanks for not fumbling it Paul!" Dude, you need to relax. That kid's got bigger stones than anyone else that could take a snap right now. After that performance, I really don't understand your logic? What more can the kid do?
  7. We'll be back when I'm walking around Walgreens at the holidays, and they have the little display t.v. on running highlights of the season, ending with the National Championship win. I always thought that was the gauge for a great program...when you can sell season DVD's at Walgreens. Never could walk through the store without stopping and watching those highlights and getting pumped up! GBR!
  8. Not like Mike...he needs to start wearing that stupid hat around when he travels, then he'll be like Mike.
  9. I agree with my son now....dude is a robot. No doubt about it!
  10. My question is why was Hawkins doing that anyway? What did he prove? NOTHING, instead he showed that he is a d-bag that has little to no regard for his player, or ours. There is no lost honor in taking a knee, in fact I would call it losing with dignity. It was impossible to win at that point, and our D had shut down. IMO it shows that Hawkins is reckless, just look at what he did to his son early on in the season, kept him in when you could tell he was hurt. Way to go Dan, you proved your an A-hole.... Seriously? Man you need to get a clue! As much as I don't like Colorado, to keep fighting to the very end is what it's all about. Maybe you should channel some of that rage, and delete your lame comment while your at it, over to the Defense. They're the ones that should take the blame for it. And by the way, maybe you should attend a coaching clinic while you're at it. Amazing!
  11. If memory serves, there was a game involving the Miami Dolphins back in the 80's that was broadcast with NO commentary. It was on NBC, and was broadcast just as a regularly broadcast game would have been shown, just no commentary. There have been times during this season whether on network t.v., or worse, when FSN does a gome with that atrocity Dave Lapham doing the color, that I have actually turned the sound off. The broadcast is time delayed so the 1110 broadcast is off by 4 to 5 seconds, so that does'nt work either. I am not one to go for complete "homerism", I just want a broadcast that is knowledeable and entertaining. Am I asking for too much?
  12. I am amending my pick. I will put McNeil up there with Henery. He showed steady and quality improvement all year. He will be one of our "go to" guys next season.
  13. Biggest surprise....Henery. That kid was clutch all year! Biggest dissapointment....Kunalic. What happened to kicking the ball through the end zone after the first 3 games?
  14. Game ball is shared between Ganz and Suh. Season ball goes to Ganz...he stands up there with Zac Taylor and Tommie Frazier as far as my favorite Husker Q.B.'s. Niles Paul needs to be picking up jockstraps left on the lockeroom floor after that performance. How Bo kept sending him out there, he must be a saint. That kid would have been riding the bench after the personal foul penalty.
  15. Was that actually Dan Fouts calling a 21-10 Clemson lead a "near blowout"? Has this guy watched any Big 12 games this year? Oh, and this was after he was saying how Clemson had stuffed the run just as Castille ripped off that 40 yard run. That guy was an idiot today.
  16. Who really cares. If it was about Husker football history, then yeah, I would be interested in how we are portrayed, other than that, it's just fun Hollywood entertainment.
  17. The team gathered at the Southwest corner, then ran out onto the field while the band palyed "Hail Varsity"
  18. I really wonder if the game is becoming too fast for some of these officials? Having seen the speed of these incredible athletes from near and far, it is a wonder to me how some of these refs can even keep up. To me, I feel the officiating has been very inconsistent this year in particular. I would be curious to know about the review procedures the Big 12 has toward their referees.
  19. If only we could have had some pictures of Bob Devaney at any of the local VFW's back in the day. That would be awesome!!
  20. Maybe TO met with Mark Richt while in Atlanta?
  21. You know I get really tired of hearing that Turner Gill needs more experience. Lets talk about his "experience". 1) He is now the 2nd year head coach at Buffalo University. The top person in the day to day operations and recruiting at a university re-building their football program. 2) Former starting quarterback to the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers who came within a whisker of the National Title. 3) Former Assistant Coach at the University of Nebraska. Active in recruiting and teaching offense and quarterback positions during the National Championship years of the mid 90's. The one item I can speak to having been a close friend to a player on all 3 of those National Championship teams is this, the man knows what it takes to recruit, teach and win the Nebraksa way. I thought Tom Osborne stated it pretty well today after speaking with former CU coach MCCartney, he said," that you hated to play Nebraska, because for 10 days after, you would still be feeling it." That way of coaching is what Gill learned while at Nebraska; living it, playing it; coaching it. The major item that i think Gill will bring to the table is the pride and tradition of playing for the University. That comes from dedication and a relentless practice regimen. Having talked to my friend, and listening to comments from Jason Peter, that is what is lacking at this time. When Nebraska practiced during the week, every down and scrimmage was a war. Play after play, it was 100% war. The pay-off was Saturday when those teams would PUNISH others into submission from the preparations of the prior week. THAT is what Gill brings to the table. That philosophy of extensive, physical preparation that completely dominates the opponent. I'm not doubting that Pelini has that mentality too, but Gill brings home all the traditions and knowledge of these former teams, and will coach them the way they were coached during the glory years. Every down is a war, dominate the opponent through strength and speed, and win the Nebraska way, with class and honor! GBR!
  22. I think this is exactly what TO has in mind; and with the Pelini hire, naming Gill OC and Assistant Head Coach. After todays game, and the gutsy showing of the players, it does make one scratch his head saying, "what the hell is going on?". All I can say is trust TO. He has coached, and known many coaches, and I feel he knows what will bring the program back to the level he left it. TRUST TO!
  23. Somebody go out to Arizona and BEG Charlie McBride to come back and fire this defense up one last time! And while he's here, have him put on the headsets and coach the defense just a few more games. BC needs to buy COZ a one way plane ticket back to Wisconsin to coach high school football. To give up 606 yards in Memorial Stadium, demands a resignation or a firing.
