Let me suggest another motivation for Bo not naming the starting QB. What if Lee is the starter but Bo wants the other 2 QB's to know just how close the race was? It certainly helps us going forward and into next season if the backups both think they're really close to being starters. Imagine if one of them does come off the bench to lead the team - I'd want him to think he was almost the starter and have that confidence. Just a thought.

I thought Josh Bullocks was a game-changer. His 10 INT's in 2003 is an NU record. True, which is why I said close. Bullocks was no where near the run supporter that Brown was. ALso Brown was all over the place on special teams. Brown was a game changer, J Bullocks was a great player. How much of Bullucks success was due to sitting back as a center fielder in Bo's zones in 2003? Open question not a flame Fair enough. But turnovers are the epitome of changing the game IMO. As for the center fielder - none of the other safeties have performed as well in Bo's scheme including at OU and LSU.

You're probably right, but there shouldn't be any upset people here. The guy who starts is going to be the guy who impressed the coaches the most in practice. I would not say COACHES. I would say coach, but it is the only one that really matters. If Taylor starts, and it seems more and more likely he will, this is completely Bo's decision and his alone. Really gonna be one of the first major decisions Bo has made on his own that can affect his career for the good or the bad. Wow, you've really changed your tune on this one. Have you heard anything other than the standard media stories?

This might affect Andrew's chances of getting on the field this year. If the team suspends him for a couple games, then the likelihood of redshirting goes up.

No way a redshirt freshman led Western Kentucky team that went 0-12 last year scores more points on us than three Sun Belt teams combined, even if our starters are out by the end of the third. I'm sticking by my prediction. I think we'll have the usual first game miscues and turnovers which will result in some extra points for WKU. And switching among 3 QB's won't help with a new center leading to some exchange problems. Plus, I think our defense will have some issues early this season, but should get on track during the Washington game.

I always hear Dennis Miller when I read 'em. i hear george costanza. lewis black or russell brand. I definitely can see Lewis Black whenever Cy talks about the Cyclones or the cupcakes being played.

I strongly recommended seeing a game at all 3 service academies. There's absolutely nothing else like it.

This is like reading a gigantic ode to "The Grass is Greener." This thread - and ones like it sure to sprout up soon - will be even more entertaining when all the QB's look good in the non-con games. And then when whoever starts has any struggles against any team, the wolves will be out to tear that one down. Should be any interesting season with some part of the fanbase upset over whoever is currently starting.

All true. And Brooks and Henry are definitely not the same type of receiver. I'm just saying not to completely write Henry off as some here are suggesting.

You don't see the parallels? Both had underperformed going into their last season. Brooks had a decent season last fall. Henry could do the same. Basic idea: past performance does not guarantee future results.

I would go with this, but I'm confused as to why Pelini hasn't named a starter 1 week before kickoff. Is he just trying to keep the mighty western kentucky guessing, or what is going on here? I don't think he's named a starter at any position. People just notice the QB more.
