  1. I heard there is a lot of construction between Omaha and Lincoln. How long should I plan for the trip down on I-80? I usually plan 1.5 hours. Is there a better route that I should take? Thanks for any help!
  2. I have one ticket. $65. Section 19, Row 91, seat 20. PM me if you want it.
  3. Have you seen what else is left in the stable?? Our 2nd and 3rd string RB's might as well be Iowa State RB's. FYI - Iowa St. is leading the conference in rushing. Granted bad teams, but still about 140 yds/game more than Nebraska.... I'd take their RB over any of our back ups right now.
  4. QB drama set to unfold Filed by Mitch Sherman at 9:52 p.m. The next few days promise to bring lots of potentially divisive and important discussion about Nebraska's quarterback situation. Your guess is as good as mine on how Bo Pelini will handle this, both in public and within the team. He's never faced a similar scenario as a head coach, which makes the QB drama all that much more intriguing to watch unfold. It could go any of three ways and not shock me: - NU declares early in the week that Zac Lee will remain in control of the offense. He spent the past two years in Lincoln getting ready for this season. Lee appears to have done nearly everything right to earn the confidence of his teammates and coaches. He had a bad game, yes, but not everything was his fault Saturday. And Lee's dedication to Nebraska -- not to mention his performance in practice and several games this season -- has earned him at least one more chance to fix things. - Cody Green gets the job. The problems run deep in Nebraska's offense, and the Huskers need a change to jolt their attitude and approach. The incompetence hasn't reached the level of the 2007 NU defense, but it could get there in a month, especially if Nebraska sits back and hopes things improve without a big shakeup. Green will make more mistakes than Lee, but the freshman has a big arm and gives the Huskers a running threat that Lee does not provide. This season is suddenly sputtering. Why not think big picture, pick the guy who has a higher ceiling and get started with the future? - Nebraska makes no announcement, other than to say the competition at quarterback is ongoing. We're left in the dark for several days, perhaps until Iowa State visits Memorial Stadium on Saturday, debating the merits of both quarterbacks to the point of overkill. Meanwhile, the whole situation threatens to disrupt team chemistry even as the Huskers deny that as a possibility. Should be interesting. Pelini will be asked about the quarterbacks Monday, just before noon on the Big 12 conference call. Look for an update here after he's done speaking or log on to chat with World-Herald writer Jon Nyatawa at noon for the latest. Link I think it's going to be situation #3 that is most likely to happen as far as not hearing anything until the day before the game on game day itself....
  5. Not going to win many game when your offense can not score. Period. Might be the worst offense I have seen at Nebraska since 2004. Callahan's first year.
  6. FYI, with the way the offense is playing. Nebraska is not in the game.
  7. Bloody mary's first, then Crown, crown and more crown!
  8. Has Tuff Tiger been around? I haven't seen him at all...
  9. That is so true. In all honesty I don't understand why and how they are so bad. Yes it's true their fans are almost non-existent and the university doesn't support them like they should. But, come on. How can they be really as bad as they are. They are so bad that they are almost ISU or KSU like. Remember the BC era, its pretty much the same with hawkins......they'll kick him lose, get a good coach, and we'll have turkey day games as exciting as last years hopefully forever. CU can not afford to fire Hawkins during this season or anytime soon it would appear. From article "The school's total liability could approach $3 million under the terms of the deal if any partial year was prorated in a buyout. If the buyout was limited to three years, it would cost CU no more than $2,550,000. " additionally "The athletic department remains in deeply in debt with the majority of an $8 million loan from the campus and the CU system in 2006 still to be paid off. Part of that debt was caused by the last coaching change when Bohn fired Gary Barnett at the end of the 2005 season and hired Hawkins. " http://www.dailycamera.com/sports/ci_13329737 I heard Lee Barknecht on the radio a couple weeks ago talking about how, ya they are in debt, but if you take into account the amount of season ticket holders who would drop their tickets and the revenue that would be lost to the football program that you could take that estimated amount (which would be around 3.5 million by university estimates) and that would cover his buy out. So in all reality, if they keep him, they likely lose as much or more next year and that's just next year, not to mention the years after in trying to get the season tickets sold again. But he is a Big 12 writer and not in Boulder, so I would tend to believe the Boulder reporter more.... Just food for thought.
  10. Before long his house will be for sale like this one in Lincoln guess who this may be owned by? http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-...8461_1112822790 Billy C?
  11. Remember this, "The worst day as a buffalo is still better than the best day as a cornhusker!" I bet he wishes he was a cornhusker now.....
  12. When I read this part it reminded me that I wanted to check out kansascity.com to see if Mike DeArmond has posted anything.....
  13. Tickets for the Nebraska/Iowa St game are on sale on the huskers.com ticket office. Just FYI. Link
  14. And Nebraska loses by ONE POINT to VT when completely dominating the whole game but they are still 17 spots behind. Miami gets blown out and they are still ahead of Neb. Complete ignorance by the voters.
  15. Both polls are an absolute joke! Preseason Hype and ESPN coverage (or any bigtime media coverage) influence everything. Iowa jumping to 13 in the AP is all a result of Penn St. being rated WAY too high to begin the year so the voter had to move Iowa ahead of PSU some how. Going from unranked to 13 is RIDICULOUS! Polls are RIDICULOUS. They should not begin until Week 4 or 5.
  16. Sucks for Baylor. They were up and coming.... Link
  17. Denario Alexander is going to be a force to be reckoned with.
  18. Ya, this ain't tigerboard. If you want pissing matches they go on all day there...
  19. Yeah, it's just you. Most on here find him to be a good read, and fair (maybe even a bit pro-Nebraska). It's just you......Whenever someone see something written negative or in criticism they automatically believe they hate Nebraska. He says lots of good things about Nebraska too. More than negative things.
  20. They have them at Scheels too. Only the #62 as well...
  21. Because Marcel Jones would have false started....Not that it would have hurt, but he'd screw up first.....not that it matters now anyway....
  22. Lookign for 5-6 Tickets to the K State game in Lincoln. Face value.
  23. Anyone have tickets to these games? Will buy 4 if you have 4 and don't want to sell only 3.
  24. Everyplay is reviewed in the booth. All the booth needed was one look to determine the ball wasn't caught. Hell I only needed one look. Why is everyone complaining about it because they didn't get the head official involved on the review. It was looked at in the booth (As everyplay is) and it was determined they did not need to stop play and take more time to look because the ref made the correct call (which he did). So what if it was reviewed with the head official or not. If they stopped play and got him involved it still would not have been overturned.
  25. Brian Rosenthal was on 1620 and said he heard something, The two guys on 1620 heard about something with Zac's non-throwing arm. He may have been hurt but it might not be serious, or Pelini isn't tipping his hand as to an injury yet. He doesn't have to tell anyone. They don't have an injury report like in the NFL.
