They play a vastly improved O State this weekend. Should be a good test. All I know is I don't care how good Daniel is. I wouldn't want him representing our program. Just like I don't want the spitter to be let off lightly either for disrespect. We want Daniel to get his due for his comments but we also need to have the spitter get his due as well for blatant disrespect. Period.

This will be up on ESPN soon because an article was already on the front page about the spitting incident. Get ready for some more bashing.

I agree about Keller, this guy didn't need to throw him in there for that. But what does the post-game yapping have to do with the in game penalties? Nothing. Yeah, the post game comments in no way correlate to NU's penalties. I think he made the point about Keller because the pass blocking was so pathetic. I don't think it was irrelevant. You're right.

So you"ll be nicer to Gabbert? Gabbert made a decision for himself. I don't care that he went to Mizzou, just like I don't care Freeman went to KSU. As far as I know Gabbert doesn't have the attitude Daniel has. It'll work out in the end for everyone anyway. Gabbert didn't even get booed when he came into the game, I think Nebraska people don't care anymore because there is a new staff and a new direction. At least I don't.

The mizzou fans were great around us. No idiots. Every fan base has them and I just take all posts like this with a grain of salt. It's not the fans that make Nebraska fans hate Mizzou. It's the QB. Enjoy your time at the top Mizzou fans because as we've painfully learned. It does not last forever.

But when a guy kills a team then stomps on them when they are down it's just a joke. Anyone can say what they want. They can say "Nebraska ran up the score for years." Well Nebraska also did not come out in post game interviews and talk about their opponents mockingly. They went about their business and moved on regardless of what they thought about the team. When you have a rivalry you have mutual respect (See OU vs. NU in the past). You don't have primadonna's who get a rise out of kicking the team while it is down (Last year and this year). He wants to talk about bush-league he should look in the mirror, but I don't expect this self loving nose miner to ever get over himself.

Ya and their one dimension happens to be our achilles heel.

Now that all the fans have ran out of the kool-aid and things really look bad right now there is still some light. I've said it many times and I still believe it, a 7-5 or 6-6 season will be a success and a bowl game will be a success. Everyone to start the season was thinking 9-3 or 8-4 and I just didn't see it. This is a tough stretch in the schedule and I think this team with Pelini will overcome these three weeks and turn it around where we saw what Callahan's team did when they saw adversity. This will be different I think. It just means that the fans NEED to be HAPPY about a 6-6 or 7-5 season with a bowl appearance rather than a 9-3 season. Fans just need to finally realize this season is a major building experience and that a bowl appearance would be a huge improvement from even last year. It can still be positive, just not what we are all used to. Got to walk before we can run boys.

I agree with this guy too. He isn't any homer that's for sure. He puts the Mizzou cockiness into perspective too. I hope they get smoked but OU. I hope Daniel has a terrible game and it loses him the heisman.

But did I say Pinkel was the same caliber as Carroll as you inferred I was saying in your post? I was responding to a post inferring I was putting Pinkel in the same caliber as Carroll. You want to argue on semantics of "any" and "some" when the point is still the same whether I said "any" or "some". Mizzou has talent, talent CAN overcome the "pinkel effect". You called me out inferring I was putting Pinkel in Carrol's caliber. You were wrong. Game over.

I did NOT say the same caliber of coach. I SAID that talent makes up for some bad coaching decisions. Therefore I'll repeat it for you since you couldn't read it correctly the first time. Pinkel has better talent and that talent can make up for his short comings as a coach. Get it? Just because I mention them in the same sentence does not mean I say they are equal. Read the post, did I say they were the same caliber? no.

I would have to agree with this assessment. different players, and more talented players can hide some deficiencies a coach may have. Just look at USC and Pete Carroll. Pinkel has the personnel to overcome any dumb mistakes if they were to happen. I wouldn't be relying on the "pinkel effect" to pull this one out for NU.

I just hope if we DO pull off the upset the fans act like we've been there before and don't rush the field or tear down any goal-posts or anything. I'm on the fence as to whether this would happen but I hope it doesn't if we win.
