  1. I think the team did very good this evening - but - how many balls did our defensive backs have in their hands and dropped them. Blackshirts put the whole package together - we didn't see that tonight. But still - What a great game, what a great improvement from a year ago!!! RR
  2. I see on TV where Texas seceding from the US is pretty popular down there. What a bunch of WingNuts. Goodbye UT, TTech, A&M and BU. I say go for it - don't whine, just go away! We get the Big 8 back!!! I'll have to break the old red clothes out of mothballs..... RiverRunner
  3. Nope, you take what they offer. Thanks for the link. RiverRunner
  4. Does anyone know where you can order high quality Husker Jersey's with custom numbers and names? Thanks, RiverRunner
  5. What do you expect from Fox Noise? They've always made their money by lying to people who are crazy enough to keep believing their story - hook, line and sinker. RiverRunner
  6. I've heard that Lou Holtz is thinking about running for Congress is Florida. He will be running as a very conservative Republican per the news reports I've seen.
  7. Given the improvements I saw last year - they better be prepared for a defense playing 100% on every play - people flying from one side of the field to the other. We can play offense too. Man I can taste a really good defense in the air I believe in Bo. Period.
  8. Oh Man....things were going so well...then said the "C" word that we shall not say - kind of like jumping in a 40 degree river... River-Runner
  9. From a personal standpoint, LP had all the chances in the world. Tom took a big, big personal risk to give the guy a chance to begin anew. My worst memory of a bad/unfair thing occuring to a Husker still and always will be Touchdown Tommy not being awarded the Heisman. This guy did everything right and had the system fail him. The system tried to give Phillips every chance in the world and he threw it away. Very sad indeed on both accounts.
  10. WE've had a couple of kids that really played their hearts out in Ganz and Taylor. Both of these guys rallied their teams and made the best out of what they had when they had to. These two guys are as important as any past Huskers in keeping the tradition alive. I just feel so sorry for all the kids who played their hearts out for the Callihan regime when the coaching staff wasn't giving it their all. I don't think anyone will ever say Bo and Company did not give the team their all. I'm a Bo Fan. Go Big Red RiverRunner
  11. Hey Folks, Back to the real world. Callahan and Keller's Dad were best buddies..... Callahan didn't give a rat's behind about Nebraska. Ganz didn't get a fair chance is my opinion. RiverRunner
  12. I'm living in Portland and spoke with a neighbor today who is a NU grad. He says a woman in his office knows the Suh family and knew the kid while he was growing up. Sounds like he was a really nice kid, smart and the kind of kid you would want around. I sure hope he stays with NU for another year, what a Stud!
  13. My biggest pet peave of ALL TIME!!! IT IS LOSE....L O S E!!! LOOSE is what your mom is after a night working the street corner...I have no idea how or why LOSE is spelled LOOSE on message boards. It just blows my mind... Wow - Man Woman and Child - lay off the leftovers........
  14. Did you guys see the lazar pointer being aimed into the face of the OSU QB last night? The TV picked it up pretty good. A Green colored light. I'm glad the game is in Lincoln this year. RiverRunner
  15. I've got no problems right now at all. The guys are playing hard and with heart - didn't happen last season. Everybody is running to the ball - didn't happen last season. People - coaches and players - are accepting responsibility - didn't happen last season. I'm looking forward to a better Husker future - last season........was cruel....I'm so sorry for the guys playing under the former management. Imagine their different experience at NU under Bo~ Go Big Red RiverRunner
  16. I'd sure like to have a listen into the locker room at this halftime......
  17. Looked to me on TV that he got a Baylor finger to his eye. That would probably make most folks think about dropping the ball.......
  18. I'm hoping many of those players are from Nebraska and that the walk on system is reawakened! RiverRunner
  19. I was very happy with the Team's performance today. Great job coaches and team! Everybody kept fighting and working for the Win! You will get there soon. What I also loved to hear on TV was the number of kids from Nebraska playing and the stories about successful walk-ons! There is much to benefit from a winning Tradition! Go Bo Red!!!
  20. Didn't we hear from the program last spring and summer that the O-line was going to be very good? What happened? River-Runner
  21. What a game tonight - USC vs. Oregon State Beavers!!!! I'd love to see our defense play with the Heart of the Beavers tonight. What an awesome display of guts. The Beavers looked like a high school team versus USC size wise, but sure made up for it with Heart. They beat USC by going up the gut play after play - kind of reminded me of the old days......... 22. Man-O-Man I know what you mean! Last year when "he" was still here and I was in deep depression, I committed to a three week on-the-water Grand Canyon float trip during football season - we launch Sat am Aug 30...........No radio, no TV, no papers, no BO news for Three Weeks!!!! Can somebody start throwing bottles with the OWH sports page off the Glen Canyon Dam into the Colorado River? I'll find them as they float by!!! Go Big Red from Oregon!!! PS: Please add the GI Independent Sports page too, I really like their perspective as well. Send me anything; the Cambridge Clarion or the McCook Gazette......Kearney HUB...LJS....Big Red Withdrawl is an ugly thing to watch in a grown man..........

  24. I want revenge - I want Bo to put the HURT on KU............................
  25. I think we will see an completely different attitude. No longer will we see the off-side LB's NOT RUN TO FOLLOW THE PLAY. That just frosted me last year when people would just stop and not run to the ball. Go Bo and BRO-of-BO!!!
