  1. Here's the link: http://www.redoutshirt.com/SHOP.html
  2. I have to go with T-Magic. Just think of the Huskervision opportunities here, considering all of the "magic" songs that could be used to incorporate some type of highlight package.... Magic (The Cars) You Can Do Magic (America) Magic Man (Heart) Abracadabra (Steve Miller Band) Or, my favorite, "Magic Stick" by Lil' Kim and 50 Cent.
  3. glad to see a fellow EPL fan Absolutely! Thanks for your updates. I've become a big fan of the EPL and other European leagues over the last 2 years. There's something to be said for a game that can be watched in full within 2 hours, with no commercial interruption during the action. The passion of the fans at the games is incredible. They live and die with each game, just like us Husker fans. It's really cool that they develop their own chants, songs, etc and belt them out for the entire match. Unfortunately, American football has developed into everyone turning into robots and watching the massive video screens dictate when you should stand up and get loud.
  4. Glory, glory Man United! The Red Devils start the season with 3-0 win. Not a bad showing, considering Rooney is still not back to form.
  5. All I know is that Martinez better not pull a "Crouch" by running home and threatening to transfer, cuz Bo will not pull a "Solich" and follow him home, begging for him to stay.
  6. Now you know why Texas A&M has doubts about Beebe's promise to provide them the big bucks. He tends to have a history of shooting off his mouth and making grand promises, only to end up with his foot in his mouth. No wonder why Texass loves this idiot.
  7. And Manchester City continues in its quest to buy a championship. As long as Sir Alex continues at Man U, Mancini will continue to spend a fortune and end up the second best team in Manchester.
  8. My first sign idea for Gameday 10/16/2010: Roger Huerta is an Honorary Member of the Blackshirts!!!
  9. With 00:01 before the Big 12's Nebraska commitment deadline, T.O. goes to the mike and states, "Intially, we were going to commit to the Big 12, but upon further review, we are leaving for the Big 10....P.S. Texas, you actually were the ones who started this, and WE are the ones who finished it!"
  10. Here's another sign of how lame K-Sucks fans are: Thanks to the Blackshirts holding KSU to 3 points or less last night, I was able to go to Runza today with my game ticket and get a free Runza sandwich. As I enter the store, I see 4 K-Sucks fans in their purple pansy gear with game tickets in their hands, cashing in on a free runza! I just had to laugh thinking of how pathetic it must be to be a K-Sucks fan....would you as a Husker fan ever stoop low enough as to cash in on a poor performance from your football team???
  11. I hope your friend is a better ref than talent evaluator. Cotton outweighed the Norfolk kids by at least 40-50 pounds, and yet Norfolk soundly beat Southeast! It's not like Norfolk was more talented than Southeast...they weren't. They just wanted it more and played with more discipline than Cotton and Southeast.
  12. I have personally watched Cotton play both Southeast/Southwest games this season. To put it mildly, he was not a factor in either game. He plays DT, and I do not recall him making any sacks and/or tackles for loss in last Friday's game. I watched him for a good part of the game, and in my opinion, he is lazy. The DT who lined up next to him (Ledgerwood) does not have Cotton's size, but 10 times the heart and motor. The Southwest line dominated the trenches, and I doubt you'll see any big-time recruits from their side of the ball. The only time Cotton did get near the QB resulted in a crucial 15 yd roughing the passer penalty. How in the world does someone who was a non-factor in High School games worthy of a scholarship to NU? Granted, he does have the size and body-type, but he's going to have to develop a motor and passion to play defense, or Carl Pelini will not even pay him the time of day. This is a waste of a scholarship...he would be much better suited to play for a Nebraska Wesleyan or maybe Wayne State. What a joke!
  13. Karma alert!!!!! I remember NU starting another Freshman QB against Iowa State about 17 years ago...although the game didn't go well, the rest of Tommie Frazier's career at NU did!!!!!
  14. Let's look at things the way they stand right now. Yes, Nebraska lost today with a terribly disappointing effort. However, as you can see with tonight's loss by Kansas, the Big 12 North is full of flawed teams, each with at least 1 loss. Winning the North Division is just as likely to happen tomorrow, as it was before today's game.... Let's be totally honest here..Nebraska is not a dominant team yet. Yes, we saw a glimmer of briliance for 1 quarter in the Mizzou game, and all of the sudden the fans, the media, and most likely the team, all got a little full of themselves and started buying the hype. Today, unfortunately, you saw a team fall back to Earth and demonstrate that they are still a work in progress. Can we really ask for more from a program that is full of young players (and a coaching staff), who have not enjoyed major success as a team yet? Offensively, NU is a mess right now. But, weren't we saying the same thing after 6 games last season? There is no doubt that NU has not been able to sustain the momentum that the offense built last year, and losing Ganz, Swift and Peterson has proved to be huge losses. Shawn Watson has not all of the sudden become a dummy....he deserves a little bit of a break due to the fact that he does not have the weapons that he had last year. We could have the greatest OC in the world, but if that OC had to utilize the inexperienced and injured group that Watson currently has to work with, I think anyone would struggle finding consistency. It's time for Watson to find out which players he can go to war with at every position on offense, and build from that group. Based on Watson's track record, there's no doubt that the offense will improve as the season wears on. Nebraska simply does not have the experience and the depth to simply reload from season to season, and have a dominant offense. If there's one positive to look forward to, it's the fact that lots of young skill players are getting experience this season, so the offense should hit the ground running better next season. Defensively, NU is much better than where we were last season. There's no doubt that the defense will have to be great from here on out for NU to win the North. In order to do this, the Blackshirts are going to have to improve on 3rd Down defense and create turnovers, which they were unable to do against Texas Tech. It's critical for this defense to give its struggling offense alot of short fields, and 3 and outs plus turnovers would give the offense the opportunity to score more points and build confidence. Finally, shame on us as fans for getting WAY too far ahead of ourselves. I want Nebraska to return to the glory days of conference championships and national championships as much as anyone. But, finally beating a top 25 team on the road doesn't mean that all of the sudden we are a top 5 team, and can just show up every week and win. This program is going in the right direction, and it's irrational to think that setbacks will not occur from time to time. We as fans need to recognize that we're still on this journey, and not at the destination yet. Booing the team at halftime was something I would expect from a less knowledgeable and fair-weather fanbase than our's. We as fans can have an impact on this program, and providing encouragement, rather than criticism to a bunch of 18-22 year olds would be a better way to motivate these kids to compete harder and bring home a victory. Let's all embrace this journey and support our players and coaches...it will feel all the better when NU finally does climb back to the top of the college football mountain!!!!! GO BIG RED!
  15. Sean Weatherspoon: Lamar (From Revenge of the Nerds): Not so much a look-alike, but definitely a act-alike!
  16. Doesnt matter if he spoke yesterday, my mom has it and was fine on friday afternoon and by saturday afternoon she was totally smoked. I highly doubt she was fine if she has the H1N1 virus as the onset can take up to 3 days for full on infections. She might have the regular flu, but it wouldn't just pop up over night being H1N1. Both season flu and H1N1 can come on gradually or like a freight train. Last time I had flu - about 10 years ago - I went to bed with a scratchy throat and woke up feeling like a fell out of an airplane. For what it's worth, I hope all the players are healthy and ready to go on Thursday. You guys too. How exactly does it feel to fall out of an airplane???!!!!
