Further, in my coaching opinion I would have kicked the field goal (28yds) rather than getting no points (as we didnt) then kicked off again into the end zone. Leavi g us at the 20 only down 2, rather than on the 20 down by 5 and needing a defensive stop and a full offensive drive. Odds are in my favor.

Did you watch the game? We had to stop them anyway after turning it over on 4th down and not scoring a TD. We came away with no points and forced an anemic offense to score a TD to win.

Instead we score no points force are defense to make a stop at the same yardage line as we would have after a kickoff and then force the offense to score a TD...

It would have required us to get a FG to win with the same amount of clock....Purdue stopped us on the 18 yd line...a kick off into the end zone after a FG would have put them on the 20 and we would have been down by 2...

Er... no because he gave Purdue the same field position with essentially the same clock count only with Nebraska having less points. Idiotic

MR is an idiot and we got lucky to win. With 3 minutes to go and a chip in field goal he decided to go for it on 4 and 6. Which turned the ball over to the other team on the 20 and no points to gain. A competent coach would have kicked the fg, then kicked off and put the opposing team on the same 20yd line only by 2 instead of being down by 5. Thus preventing an improbable drive for a last second TD because he would have only needed a FG to win.
