what internet radio station are you listening to that is streaming jim rome?? I didn't think radio stations could stream him because he sells his show online already.

I would be sweet to have a 50' banner that says "MARK MAY IS A DOUCHE" set up right behind the game day set. It would be the only thing people on tv could see. I'm sure that sign wouldn't last very long. LOL

I'm doubting he's doing better than grixby right now grixby is one of our top two cb's. He's a senior and prince is a true freshman,give grixby a little more credit please. I would have to agree. Grixby may not be the best DB, but he is a senior. His experience is worth far more than the raw talent Prince may have. No way can a true frosh come into D-1 college FB and start his first game over a 4 year starter.

That has me pretty excited as well. I am not really suprised to see Murillo ahead of Jones. Jones sure talks big game but doesnt ever show up.

For him to not even be listed I would assume this means Glenn is not going to ever be 100%. From what I gather he probably wont even be suited up for the game. Could they possibly redshirt Glenn????

I've been trying to convince people of this for years. Only about half of Notre Dame victories should count. They may play a couple tough games a year, but all the rest are Super Cupcakes. (i.e. Navy, Air Force, DUKE, Stanford) Most Division II teams could beat those teams. I will give them half wins for every cupcake they play, and by my math that would put them at 575.

I would have to agree that the game agianst CU in 01 was the down fall of the empire that Osborne built. But i am looking forward to restoring the order this year, atleast i think this year will be the beginning. We WILL get a signature win and show those clowns at ESPN that even after all there efforts to take digs at us that no one can keep us down. We are to big and to proud a program to fall far from grace. Just like we lost more than a game in 01, look for us to win more than just a game this year!! GBR!!!!!

I agree. But i also think we need to look at the QB position as well. I think we should red shirt Lee and Witt. With one of those guys taking the reigns next year and that would give us the option to red-shirt Gabbert next year. I think it is time we start trying to get guys staggered to where we can have them at the postion for 2-3 years. Unfortunately I think Ganz will fall victim to this, we have to look forward to having starters for successive years.(i.e. Witt or Lee starting next year and Gabbert coming in behind them)

I live in Des Moines and the only husker game i missed last year was Nichols State. Which i believe wasnt televised anyway. If i remember right, most big 12 games are shown on fox sports midwest or comcast unless it is a really big game then it will be nationally televised, and big 10 is usually on abc or espn. I would wait and see when you get there, but from what i remember last year the coverage maps usually included all of iowa for the NU games.

Wow...he is being a human, has had serious issues, is young, and has just been handed a huge loss...everyone panic. Like that even matters to him at this point. Geez, people. It's not like i was be-rating him. I asked a simple and what i thought was a valid question. I am just curious as to what happened.

That is what i was thinking. The sports show i am listening to isnt the most NU friendly, so i think they were jumping to conclusions. I just hope MO and his family are alright.

I just heard on 1460 in Des Moines there is going to be a news conference in a few minutes and MO is going to be leaving the team. Any truth to this or is he just taking a leave of absence. Either way my thoughts a prayers are with him and his family.

I think we are going to continue to see this all year. I wouldn't depend on Lucky or Glenn to be healthy at all this year. I believe we will see the running back of the future emerge this year. Lucky and Glenn just aren't durable enough. If they can't make it through practice how are they going to make it through the season?

Dear Husker Faithful, I am needing reassurance as a new year is upon us. I am very worried about the Wake Forest and Missouri game. I believe the Wake Forest game could possibly be a trap game as we look forward to USC. Granted WF plays in a very meager conference but they are returning alot of guys from last years squad, and look to be better than they were last year. I am very worried about our depth at running back as Lucky and Glenn don't seem to be able to stay healthy. I fear that if we trip up early it could spell disaster for this team. And we absolutely cannot lose to Missery, I dont want to see the likes of Mark May saying "I told you so". I just hope we win the games we are supposed to and hopefully we can steal either a game agianst USC or Texas. I also hope we have seen the last of the 3rd quarter fizzles. We need to keep our foot on the gas and don't look back. Please reassure me that we have taken care of our business in the off-season and we will not die in the 3rd quarter and that we WILL take care of business and atleast give ourselves a shot at another Big 12 title and hopefully better.

I have been wondering the same thing. I thought he committed, but the recruiting websites dont show he has set his verbal yet. They are showing he has interest in Michigan, Notre Dame and us. It sure would be nice to land him, especially since he is from Nebraska. Can't let talent get out of the state. It would be nice to see Steinkuhler, Hoch and Robinson blowing holes wide open for Jonas Gray and allowing Gabbert to throw the deep ball to Niles. GBR!!

Does anyone know if Lee is being redshirted this year? I think it would make the most sense. It would save him a year of eligibility while he is obviously not going to start as well as give him plenty of time to rest his leg. I am very excited to see what he is capable of, i like the thought of a dual threat QB with this system. It just adds to the complexity and gives the defense one more thing to think of.

I like the move. I think debating whether he got a 5 or a 6yr deal is rather trivial. Both are long term deals in day and age where everyone wants results instantly and is unable to have the patience to wait for excellence. Remember how long it took TO to get his? Besides the fact most coaches are unable to stick around for longer than 5 or 6 years anyway before they become bored and look for a better challenge. Gone are the days of guys like Joe Pa, Bowden and Osborne. All in all I think SP made a choice to show commitment to a guy who has shown signs of possible greatness but not quite there yet. Everyone should remember if we ditch BC now or in the near future we will have to practicaly start from scratch agian and would be facing another 04' type season (quivering). I hope BC decides to stick the 6 yr deal out. I think we are heading in a great direction, but I have my doubts BC wants to continue coaching in college. Personaly I think Cally goes to the NFL after 3 more years, whether he is contracted for 6 years doesn't matter when NFL teams will just buy it out.

I havent gone to any bars in Des Moines for a Nebraska game, I usually stay at home. I would like to know where most of us congregate on game day. My family that lives here is all ISU fans so I don't have any NU people to hang with. Keep posting as the season begins, maybe we can turn one of these otherwise lame sports bars into one where Nebraska fans can come together.

There was a press conference this a.m. at 9 and he committed. I stand corrected on his star rating. Rivals has him listed as a 4 star.

I am so pumped that we have another highly touted back coming to the great state that is.......NEBRASKA. Hopefully he hangs on untill signing day. Not to be debbie downer but i think the prospect of Michigan getting the #1 tailback in the nation Sam McGuffie had something to do with Jonas's decision. If Michigan hadn't roped McGuffie, there is no way he would be here. But I'll take a 5 star recruit anyway i can get him. Now just show me something on the field.

Does anyone know how many seats are alloted for the visitor section? I bought tickets for the KSU game. I've never sat in the visitor section at memorial, and I'm a little worried about how the environment will be. I went to the NU vs. ISU game last year and sat next to the student section(not the most enjoyable). I just don't want to get stuck next to some prick. I'm there to enjoy the game, win or lose.
