  1. Even if I or someone else did know of one, we can't really discuss it on this board, with it being illegal and all.
  2. Nice work gentlemen, always love watching your stuff Eliot
  3. Awesome story. Reminds me of how my alma mater used to play Omaha School of the Deaf in football...poor guys got flagged for tons of late hits (not joking).
  4. Go live in a small town without any friends for a few months, you will come back and LOVE everything there is to do.
  5. I don't know the story in regards to Kenny Walker, anyone care to inform me?
  6. Thanks a ton to anyone that mentioned me as a good choice, I appreciate it!
  7. Oh I forgot to mention, I've run plenty of websites and forums before (never anything too huge, but a few over 500 members), so I have a fairly decent idea of how things work. But I feel totally outmatched here.
  8. This is a neat idea Cacti...what kind of feedback have you been getting? Seems like a lot of people might be thinking along the lines of "MAN OUR UNIFORMS AREN'T KEWL ENUF!!!" or something, but it's fun to do this kind of stuff.
  9. I think Knapplc would be a great pick, and I would really enjoy a moderator position as well. I don't really like to talk myself up, and I'm not really sure what other people's views are of me (if they have any at all), but I feel that I contribute positively to the board (rarely being pessimistic, or backlashing at other posters' opinions, etc."). I also stand for a high moral standard which I guess would probably be pretty relevant. Oh, and I am on here a lot.
  10. HI still has the benefit of legitimate insiders that post on the RSS, who divulge very privy information sometimes.
  11. I would take a VT style offense, but I would be thoroughly displeased if we continued with VT-esque production from our offense.
  12. Not to anybody that watched the game... Texas only had one timeout, they would have virtually run the clock down within 15 seconds left.
  13. So comparing half those stats to us in 2007 shows that we were the best in the nation this year? Nice read nonetheless.
  14. um.......BS. its not jealousy. its the fact that they are really not as good as people make them out to be. look at the stats and you cannot honestly say what you did above. First of all, this isn't even about stats or how good of a football player someone is, people tend to "hate" these guys as people, not as talents on the field. But even if we are looking at stats, you realize Colt McCoy broke the single season completion percentage record at 77.6% last year, and threw thirty four touchdowns to eight interceptions against? And Tim Tebow spent every year with a passer rating of 175 or better (except for this year, when he was at 155), and would crank out ~3000yard passing like nothing, and twice almost had 1,000 rushing to go with it? If we are talking about how good these guys were as football players, then quite frankly they were elite.
  15. Not sad at all, it's perfectly understandable. Any time you have something shoved down your throat for so long, you're bound to eventually get sick of it. Hell, Husker fans were bitching about the Suh obsession that the media developed after they finally saw him. It gets old, and they overdo it TO DEATH. We had the polar opposite of both of them and we wish the day he set foot here never happened. Those two kids are what old Husker fans want on their team. They are what Husker players are about. Life isn't fair. They might as well get used to it now. What do you want-all of them to get co-NCs? Again-No, it isn't. It's called life. But I admire all of them. Finishing what you start, not grabbing the big bucks, putting your word above the money. Not many people like them this day and age. Three kids that are not all about ME. (Sorry, I really butched the quotes/replies in this) Just because it's a part of life doesn't mean that it isn't sad, unfortunate or unfair. It can be all of those things.
  16. Iowa will never, ever schedule two yearly out-of-conference games, not a chance.
  17. Because this poll has nothing to do with how good a team is
  18. Why? It was a good call, just terrible execution by one Andrew Shanle.
  19. Why the hate? Because Texas and the SEC are good?
  20. The way I look at it is, taking a few knees was an option, as was running the ball, and I personally don't have a problem with either call, as long as the intent isn't to score but rather to run the clock out. Intentions are usually more important than the actions that represent them, and I don't know if Saban wanted to run the score up (which is lame), but if he didn't, he didn't have to run the ball. I don't like the "well Texas should have stopped them" argument either. If you had Alabama playing...say, Buffalo, and the score was 62-0 with a minute left and they run for another touchdown, are you going to say it's Buffalo's fault that they got scored on again?
  21. Much like Tim Tebow, those who badmouth Colt McCoy and sell him short are either jealous or just annoyed with the media attention he gets. The guy makes mistakes, sure, but he has a good heart and has always conducted himself with class and humility. Sorry your career had to end this way Colt, good luck at the next level.
  22. Yes, because the videogame doesn't account for "human operation", so the clock would have stopped precisely when the ball hit out of bounds, with one second left.
  23. I just want to know how he keeps his hair perfect underneath his helmet.
  24. Seriously, what do you guys have with these other than the fact that they are "alternates". There isn't any black except for the offensive linemen's leg braces (better than our current uniforms), the shoes are white with red trim, and the jersey and pants aren't any different than the ones we wear on our regular uniforms (they just aren't worn together.) I personally love the all-white look, reminds me of stormtroopers or something (I love Texas' all-whites too), but I would also really like if it the pants were red, but we kept the long socks and white/red shoes.
  25. GSG got it. Only graduated players who are no longer amateur athletes can be on the covers.
