I agree with zoogies, it's a vicious cycle in which the top notch programs that already have the excellent facilities and etc. get more money when they don't need it, while the lesser teams, try as they might, can't improve because they aren't getting the same deals as the bigger schools.

Nate Swift has been and continues to be my personal favorite at the receiver position. When I think back to all the memorable catches of the 2006 season, seeing his #87 is not rare at all. In fact, if I think of the top catches of the year, not in terms of impact (Purify's A&M catch doesn't count) but in terms of talent required to make the catch, Swift's grab that landed him at the 2 yd. line against Missouri is the first or second I think of, battling with Nunn's catch off Purify's pass. However, his problem of dropping the easy passes is entirely accurate, but regardless of this he is very consistent. Besides seeing the wide open, nobody within 10 yards of him drops, he rarely ever drops the ball if it is thrown well. I look for him and Peterson to really step into their roles a bit better this year, and become bigtime performers.

OK guys, I put in a tentative request for a wikia wiki, I won't actually make anything until I hear back from Blackshirt, but I really hope to have it hosted by HB because I don't like the adsense that wikia puts in the code! Either way I think the chances of this happening are pretty good.

It's basically myspace, but without the seizure-inducing and cringe-worthy pages. It gives you about all the same options, and it also places a large emphasis on schools, organizations, etc. In fact you can't even join a lot of "networks" on facebook without a proper email (for example of you wanted to join the UNL network you would need a unl-provided email address)

The beauty of it is, anyone can contribute, even if they aren't an expert at anything. For example, say there was a page missing for the Nebraska Missouri "rivalry" details, or else a section of the page for 'The Drive' is inaccurate or MIA, you can edit them to reflect your best knowledge of the system. Now, there is always a chance that someone else might come along and further edit your work to achieve a higher standard, but you are still welcome to add any knowledge you would like!

Hello fellow HB....ers? Here is the deal (no small talk ) I've been pming Blackshirt for a while with the idea of a Nebraska Wiki. I've been thinking about starting one of these for some time, and he thinks it is a great idea, and currently is trying to see if I could get it hosted on this server. If not, I will apply for a wiki via wikia. For those of you unfamiliar with wiki's, if you've ever been to http://en.wikipedia.org , you know what a wiki is. What you might NOT know is that you can use wiki software on any server and make anything you want out of it! Wikis have a very easy-to-use, very flexible and open programming structure, and the catch is that anybody can edit a wiki. So basically, sometime I am hoping to start a wiki for all things Nebraska sports-related, and I would like some help! Blackshirt gave me permission to make a request to HB members for contributions once the wiki is up and running wherever. Keep in mind this is not advertising, but merely requesting your services to make the best Husker information source available on the web! I like how everyone on this board thinks of ESPN as an entity with it's own thoughts, instead of a company with individual people running it. ESPN does not have a bias against the Huskers. Might many of the individual sportscasters and commentators? Most likely, but ESPN doesn't have a list that people put in their cubicles at work with teams to praise and shun.

At least this year, one of our defensive impact players isn't even on the field as a starter in almost all the formations. The geniuses at EA put Bradley as an impact player and didn't even have him in!
