He will take the best possible already "good" head coach. TO cannot take the chance of tarnishing his image in NE by hiring someone who may "blow it." He will take a solid guy who will have the best chance of succeeding. He did hand the job over to solich and he had zero head coach experience (outside of lincoln southeast) Osborne will probably just base it on who fits into the program the best.

Good post. Especially the part about SMARTEST fans in college football. The class that we have shown to opponents was due in major part to knowing a formidable opponent or a good game when we saw one. But when guys aren't playing with heart or coaches are too stubborn to make changes the fans will let them know about it. Again good post.

of the programs you named i think all of their coaches would get a pass on a bad season. All have national titles under their belt. JoePa went 4-7 a few years ago and didn't get canned. I agree with the statement about the fans though.

i hope he is still on the sideline every game. We could sure use his leadership still

I too hope he's not injured. I really like Keller and even though he has made mistakes this season, he has been one of our few bright spots. I really hope he gets to the NFL. I hope he's okay too but he looked like they had him pretty heavily taped up on the sidelines.

I think they played a hell of a game but this game was the epitome of why callahan isn't fit for the college game. He did his little NFL thing again where he thought he could sit on his 11 point lead with 28 minutes left to play. Congrats to the players, i'm still disappointed in callahan though. be more aggressive

I saw this on huskers.com yesterday and it looks a lot tougher than last year. I'm glad sawyers is gone, i interviewed him last year and he came off as an egotistical jerkoff. Hopefully the new pitching coach will be better and it will be worth my five dollars to go to the games again.
